401K Mutual Funds to Silver?
Actually it's not a 401K but a 403b fund... but pretty close.
Can someone suggest a means of moving my 403b mutual funds into a precious commodities option or other 'safe' stocks given the current $$ crisis? Which ones/ who? and HOW? When I call my fund manager I don't want to be clueless to my options... I'm clueless now.
I would love to hear some input about smart re-investment and methods to transfer those funds to other safer options.
Anyone?
Thanks,
Tony

A lot depends on the options
allowed by your plan. If you are able to have the funds transfered, I would look at a Gold IRA such as this -

If this is not an option, then maybe you can have your money placed into gold or silver stocks such as HUI amongst others. But, without knowing what the limitations and options are with your particular plan, it is hard to advise.
I tried to
advise my parents about their 401K and wondered if they shouln't take the penalty and invest in silver.
I know pratically nothing about economics other than what I learned here...so someone who is more knowledgable than me please advise.
They shouldn't put it all in silver.
Gold is much easier to transport in case the need to flee arises.
