a video of her talking about how "scared" she was of the government while she dressed provocatively. Someone who would write a book about dress and women should be smart enough to realize the disconnect. I wonder what her real name is.

She's a diehard Democrat which I figured out after her Alex Jones interview in which she really didn't have much to say about Ron Paul except that he signed the Freedom Agenda Act. She should have been all over this guy, and would have created a lot of exposure, but she didn't and I see why even more so now.

I say she is just another New York, Jewish bimbo who goes along with the crowd. Sure, she wrote a great book, but would she have written it if it was a DEMOCRAT in the White House right now, and not a Republican? Very doubtful. Let's not forget that GWB acts more like a Democrat anyway. . .

Her latest book was basically an in to the top of the patriot movement, and now with this she places herself at the bottom. The only thing she could do worse would be to endorse Hitlery.

Sure, she has choice and I don't dog her for that, but when she writes a book like that and then comes out and says Obama is the best candidate coming out for the Constitution, well, I say F@*$ Naomi Wolf!!!

Thought I might find something useful, but when I got to the page about how women around the world don't go out into the world because they're so obsessed with their looks and thus don't want to expose their skin to the harmful rays of the sun--more of which are getting through to us because we've burned a hole in the ozone...Yeah, well then you know what you're dealing with. A pseudo-intellectual who has just now discovered the Constitution and thinks Obama is just the man to defend it.

What is freedom if not the right to make bad choices?

If you turn off of everyone who dose not agree with you 100%, your in for a lonely life and this cause will never go anywhere.

I am beginning to wonder if you people are fighting for freedom or just for the right for people to agree with you. What if she was a liberal, socialist, communist, feminist, black, gay woman? Would that make her rights to freedom of choice any less then yours? Would she somehow not have contributed to this cause more then any of us? If you are fighting for rights then don’t we have to respect that some people don’t see everything as we do?

When any ones rights are trampled on everyone ends up getting hurt, and we can’t afford to louse anyone in this battle. I think she has done a great job pointing out the path we are on, and I respect her right to do as she sees fit even when I don’t agree with it. Your swing shift attitudes and intolerance will not help anyone.

In stead of doing something constructive and trying to find a way to persuade her you belittle her entire existence, I feel a sense of shame just reading the comments on this topic.

The scariest thing about Obama is his regressive policies regarding the capital gains tax. I appreciate the fact that the guy is a fantastic speaker who is able to woo voters with a lot of open, emotional, symbolic rhetoric. Something our "best" presidents have mastered. He's good at it. He's still flat out wrong about things, but I'm certain he'd beat McStain in a head to head contest.

Wolfe was all over Jones, Anti War and the other assorted anti state gate keepers.

Wolfe's publisher is an anti war left sort. These people are basically socialists. They have no interest in Dr. Paul and freedom.

Naomi Wolfe assumes that there will be two choices in November: Barack Obama or John McCain.

Let's assume for argument's sake that this is correct, as Wolfe has done in this column.

Wolfe is simply making an argument that Obama is the lesser of two evils in terms of recent, alarming fascist policies introduced by the current President, readily accepted and supported by the Congress of the United States. Based on the parallels between McCain and Bush on the war, executive power, warrantless surveillance, detentions, press restrictions, propaganda, corporatism, etc, I can see her argument.

This nation has already been bankrupted. We borrow or monetize almost everything we do. Even in this environment, Barack Obama will try to take substantial amounts of wealth and income for social programs and entitlements. McCain would do the same to further war aims and continued US dominance in various regions of the world, and probably a lesser level of entitlements on top of that. Neither solve our problems, but one is more threatening in terms of individual liberties: John McCain. This is Wolfe's core concern.

For many libertarian-leaning voters, the choice Wolfe presents comes down to personal freedoms versus economic freedoms. Based on the last eight years, many libertarians who formerly chose economic freedoms in 2000 would now feel threatened enough by Big Brother to vote on individual freedoms. Hence Wolfe's endorsement of Obama.

you need to read a wee more before you call socialism a nickname for communism...some socialists like the idea of social equality with social justice without the "big' brother theory of communism...the soviet union, china, were communists but they did not have social equality in their system hence they can be called socialist....

and it's also weird because I JUST heard her on NPR talking about "The End of America". Of course I have heard Naomi speak about that book many times...I was thinking about how much I appreciated her writing the book and all she's doing for our freedoms.

Then I remembered that someone, a few weeks ago, mentioned the fact that Naomi was an Obama supporter. I hadn't read this article yet, and I didn't want to believe it, since it was just word of mouth I couldn't prove their claims.

I was thinking about how unfortunate it would be if she ACTUALLY WAS an Obama supporter and SURELY she wouldn't be if she knows what she now knows.

When ever I have heard Naomi speak about her book I have NEVER heard her ONCE make it a partisan issue. She has NEVER spoken about supporting any particular candidate and she has never shilled for Obama before now.

We must remember who we are talking about. This woman is about the most liberal feminist the world has EVER seen. Yet, for the past 6 months she has done nothing but talk good about Ron Paul and she has ALWAYS mentioned his name when ever I have heard her speak about the "End of America".

The same can not be said about Obama.

SO....I believe that as long as she continues to keep her message none-partisan I can support her. Of course I am depressed and a little raw at the fact that she can't see past the obvious fact which is that both parties are controlled by corporations and until we stop voting for CFR candidates nothing will change.
