Can we get 100 Million Americans to shut down their TVs for 24 hours!?
Wouldn't that send a Strong Message to the establishment across this country and the rest of the World?
That will surely hurt the OldMedia! May be they will reconsider lifting the Embargo on Dr. Paul's Message!?
Let's call it the TV Blackout Bomb!?

WHAT?

And miss Wheel of Fortune?
Sorry, your idea won't work. Nothing against its merits, but there are just too many problems. The main one is that few will ever want to do it.
Still, if you think it can work, be my guest. Call 100 million people up and ask them politely.
What's really scary is that
What's really scary is that the more we abandon their old methods of brainwashing us, the more they will salivate over our new means of getting information. That's not to say we shouldn't turn off the tube, just that by doing so we are bringing about the future control of the Internet. Understand: they must be in charge of what we think. Their entire house of cards depends on it.
But don't worry, once the 'net is lost to us, some enterprising folks will come up with something new. We'll always have a means of communication, just as prisoners will always find ways of passing notes between their cages.

I understand communication in heaven is extremely easy and accurate.

while I do think television
while I do think television does more harm than good, public television, the history channel, discovery, and travel channel do offer a little information. Ultimately you are going to gain a more detailed knowledge and get your brain working more if you read about a subject but alot of the things i watch on television I wouldn't read about. I wouldn't read a book on the lost books of the bible, but I would watch a history channel special on it. That's the determination I've come to. Overall though, if I have kids they won't see the tele' til their teenagers. best show on tele' Anthony bourdaine
MSM No longer "Frontrunner" of news
RonPaulLincoln
Just reading on-line that most people get their news from the internet and not the MSM. I called my service (DISH) and asked them to cancel my subscription. They asked what was wrong? I told them that nothing was wrong with them, they were great with customer service and satisfaction. The problem is I just cannot financially support, thru them, companies like FAUX news and Communist News Network (CNN) who would present "unfair and biased" news coverage, especially of the Presidential candidates (not only Ron Paul). I have talked to 4 DISH reps and have told all about Ron Paul and to watch these videos on the net:
"Freedom to Fascism"
"Maxed Out"
"The Money Masters"
"Monopoly Men"
"Money as Debt"
"Loose Change"
The reps repeated the list of videos to me and will probabally watch them. I hope they are "awakened" to what is going on in our country.
If you have not watched these videos, I would encourage you to. The education will last a lifetime. Thank you Ron Paul for awakening me!
Once you know Ron, You can never Forget!
viral marketing works and we are proof
This is a great idea and it will work. This will be a great way to prove the power of the internet and social networking. It needs a good premise, good promo videos for youtube and a small group of dedicated supporters to help spread the message. I think I know just the people ; ) I can easily get 30 friends onboard with very little effort. If they hear about it from multiple sources though it is a lock. Myspace, Facebook, YouTube, Digg and Reddit.
We don't have to tie it to Dr. Paul in the beginning, it's just a cool idea. Most people like to watch tv due to the comfort of watching the same thing at the same time as 100 million other people. Today, together, we will not be watching anything at all. Same comfort, new behavior. Eventually it will be discovered that this was the brainchild of those crazy Ron Paul supporters. That should turn some heads.
That's collectivist.
.
Actually... YES, Yes you can
You can get 100 Millions of Americans to turn off their TV sets for 24 hours or get them to do just about anything.
If you use Civil, borderline, Disobedience. In other words, if you were to have a demonstration, such as, a number of people coordinate, and cause the greatest traffic jam ever known in the history of man, and you promise to repeat that demonstration, 1,2, or 3 times per week or more unless the people participate.
They will turn off their TV sets. To start, all you will have to do is have 3 to 4 people drive side by side in front of traffic and just stay within the speed limits, and no faster. You would not be breaking the law, just keeping traffic crawling.
You could have alternates, helping you by taking over a mile or more in back of you. and then you break formation, and start later or on another day. How can they arrest anyone for doing the speed limit?
I'm going to re-post this on it's own thread.
24 Hours is a good start, but...
I say make it 24 Years.
10 mio would be the biggest upset for the elites
Not everybody must turn off, does in the campaign must follow what the propaganda machine is up to. But the rest, that is a powerful sign, if you can, make it more than one day, since the true news you get it on the Internet anyway. Forget your American idols for a few days, I'm 100% behind this, until the respect and probably illegal doings of the MSM ARE TAKEN CARE OF.
Can't remember
the last time I turned that thing on. It is making a nice dust collection in the living room. We quit the cable about a year ago, we were only watching Stargate and decided the cost wasn't worth it. We watch movies now through the computer. I got sick of what was on and all the commercials many years ago.
Are you a joker?
Talk about being unrealistic.
Are you kidding?
?
I'm In
for a whole week - or more!
I have no problem with not watching tv
It is tossing it out is the problem! It may be the money or the fear of not having internet to see what our enemy is doing I watch them watch me watch them this is starting to me sick! I am stranded without internet so tv is back up . I cant even make it through shows, I use to think were
ok. Thank you Ron Paul for waking me up to the depth of the corruption,
now I see the light(maybe its a flame from my peeshooter)Our forfathers were just as smart as the illuminatti 200 years ago! We WILL have the CONSTITUTION BACK! RP in pres or not!
When ever someone turns on
When ever someone turns on the set, I go into another room to read.
Answer:
No.
I only watch a few hours of

We need a "cable" virus.
We need a "cable" virus.
Nope
But what would be far more effective if all the shows that are ignoring Ron Paul were asked "WHY" by their advertisers.
This will make them situp and take notice.
When the advertisers start asking the producers to sow more RP because they are getting a lot of flack from their consumers, things will happen.
The way to achieve this is an email campaign to board members of these advertisers.
I have a LOT of experience at this and it works. DO you think the MSM will report a switch off? No.
But the advertisers will be very concerned if their brand is being damaged by association.
The BRAND is everything to these folk.
If the brand is threatened they will act.
This can only be achieved by going direct to the boards. Getting their addies is easy.
One thing I've been doing
is referring to MSM as "Old Media" more and more. It has that feeling of it being "outdated" or "obsolete." You know...kind of like an 8 year old personal computer. It's still functional, but it has a lot to be desired.
How's that for a slogan? Old Media: It functions but it has a lot to be desired.
If everyone uses the term (Old Media) more frequently with their TV addicted sheeple friends and family, perhaps this might start sinking in.
absolutely not
that would be like asking a crack addict (pick any addiction)
to give you their crack...would never happen...besides they need the television on to tell them what they think
for one day
surely you can do without it for one day. how can you stand to watch it anyway now?
yea man!
Amendment One, no cash purchases on that day
You mean you haven't heard
You mean you haven't heard of TV Turnoff Week? It's mentioned in Adbusters Magazine every year, a magazine I highly recommend.
Oh, and they're selling this nice little item too.
TV-B-GONE!
I want a TV-B-GONE. So awesome.
NICE!!!
I'm getting me one of those. It would be extra cool if it would turn off that #$@% screen at the gas pump!
**************************************
How to support RP's cause every day:
1. Don't use credit cards
2. Stamp your cash with RP stamp before spending
3. Take cash out of ATM, stamp, put back in bank
4. Explain to teller why you did #3
5. Repeat
Now that is cool! haha.
Now that is cool! haha.
That + This: http://republicmagazine.c... = a lot of awakened minds.
My family is having
a "pioneer weekend". no lights...no tv...no computers...no cooking in the the house only outside on the grill or in the fire pit...only water from water jugs or containers...For obvious reason I have to leave on the heat and refrigerator, but other than that...we're roughing it.
I got tired of my 9 year old complaining about not getting to play a video game the second he wanted to play it. :D
It was supposed to be this weekend but my husband ended up working so it will probably be next weekend.
Fun
can I come?
I like your idea
and if and when that actually happens, you'd know what to do to better prepare yourself and your family.
Marshal law could make that happen.
Recently an electric sub-station in FL has a problem and cities were without power. Nothing like alerting those who want to continue the olf "fear" campaign.
I know...
my mother lives in Orlando. She said that the interstates looked like there was a mass exodus.
In the south in 2000
we had an ice storm here and so a lot of people didn't have electricity for days! It actually wasn't that bad if you had natural gas or a propane heater. We read and played board games during the day and actually went to bed early!

Our bodies
are really suppose to be geared for no artificial light. so if we got up at day break and went to bed at dark, we would be healthier.
