**** DELEGATES,DELEGATES ****
I'm glad that we're still promoting the cause of liberty through Ron Paul. I just wanted to take a moment and urge everyone to become a national delegate to the Republican National Convention.
In Florida this is the last week to register to be a Delegate at the RNC.
Becoming a delegate in Florida is a 2 step process. Very simple!!
STEP 1 -- Delegate loyalty oaths and applications have to be received by the Republican Party of Florida no earlier than noon on March 3rd and no later than noon on March 7th-- REGISTER YOUR INTENT TO PARTICIPATE:
Submit your National Convention delegate application form to the Republican Party of Florida. Be certain to check the box that says "Congressional District Delegate" :
Also you need to include the Party loyalty oath which MUST BE NOTARIZED:
STEP 2 -- Attend the delegate selection event in your congressional district:
This is mandatory. This is where registered district participants in your district will vote to select 3 delegates and 3 alternates from those who checked the "Congressional District Delegate" box in the application form. (Those who checked the "Delegate-at-large" box will be selected by the Republican Party of Florida itself at their quarterly meeting. They have to fill 34 slots.)
Good luck

I apologize for the bump but this is the last week to become a national delegate to the Republican National Convention for Dr. Paul here in Florida and I am trying to get the message out to all the Paul supporters here in Florida.
The best part of the process here in Florida is that all you have to do is be one of the three chosen delegates in your registered district or one of the three alternates and you are on your way to St. Paul, Minnesota to the RNC to nominate Dr. Paul. That's it. No County or State caucuses needed. It's that easy!

Become a Texas Delegate
Texan RPers: Don't forget to attend your local GOP precinct caucus when the polls close at 7pm. Become a delegate to the county convention, move on to the state convention, and become a national delegate. With the way things are going, a brokered convention may be in the cards!
Be there at 6:30, 6:45 at the latest.
Your precinct convention location should be posted on the door going into the polling place. They can lock the door, so don't be late.

Delegates from Louisiana
If you check out NPR'S political map and check out Louisiana..you find a check mark beside John McCain..MSM declared him the winner before all of the votes were counted...HUCKABEE ended up having the most votes....beside McCain's second place name was (20 DELEGATES).....then in small print was the statement.." even though Huckabee won the popular vote the GOP caucus which met the next week gave all delegates to McCain"
This shows how corrupt state political organizations really are....let's keep the hope going that through our efforts people will WAKE UP!!
two edged sword, Fred
If it's corruption for the 2nd place finisher (McCain) to get the delegates, what would you say to someone who says it's corruption for the 3rd or 4th place finisher (Paul) to get them? That's what I'm concerned about now. We need to get Ron some wins in some of the remaining states, or it's going to be very tough to sell him as the winner of the nomination no matter how many delegates we send to the convention.
Sorry to be a wet blanket here, but would you rather hear it now from a friend or get blindsided by it later?

Get active NOW to put Ron in the general election. ronpaul.meetup.com
You are right.
It just is seeming to me that no matter what the primary votes turn out to be... that the local party powers can spin the results to the will of the elite few in charge....I am prone to agree that a MARCH on the convention might have better results on clueless manipulated delegates than one on DC...which in all likelyhood will be ignored by the MSM.
Thanks Sam!!

DO IT
Calling on all patriotic Americans. Become delegates NOW! Let's win this nomination and have our leader ON the ballot in November. In other states, even if you are not a delegate yet and did not go to precinct mass meetings, go to the county conventions and maybe you can be written or voted in to go to the next levels. To victory!
Long live the Republic ! !
Go Ron Paul ! ! !
Thanks for your post.
Can you apply for district and at-large delegate at the same time?
Yes
According to Mark Cross, who is the Florida Regional Coordinator for Ron Paul 2008, one can apply for all four (delagate for your district, alternate for your district, delegate at-large, and alternate at-large). I am applying for all four, but sending them in different envelopes.
Hope this helps.

Really? The app I printed only has 2 options...Delegate or Alternate! Did you use the same app all 4 times?
