Reuters reported last month “French judges probe firms over vaccinations”
PARIS, Jan 31 (Reuters) - French authorities have opened a formal investigation into two managers from drugs groups GlaxoSmithKline and Sanofi Pasteur over a vaccination campaign in the 1990s, a judicial source said late on Thursday.
Judge Marie-Odile Bertella-Geffroy also opened an investigation for manslaughter against Sanofi Pasteur MSD, a joint venture between Sanofi Aventis (SASY.PA: Quote, Profile, Research) and Merck (MRK.N: Quote, Profile, Research), the same source said.

aspirin can cause bleeding
im a nurse i know,,,,aspirin is not the innocent compound most have grown up believing,,,it can cause serious bleeding especially occult or unseen bleeding in the stomach....this is the reason why aspirin is always held at least three days prior to any surgery,,so yes in some individuals in some cases, it could cause uncontrolled bleeding and death

I've seen tons of frivolous lawsuits against simple drugs like aspirin thrown out...some accused it of making people bleed to death, but I've never seen anyone convicted..usually thrown out, with a rare settlement

Hearsay is what comes to mind... not personally been dealing with I have to assume. Your response isn't a convincing one.
Governments are 'wisening up' to the possibility of lawsuits re vaccinations. The Tamiflu (for this birdflu that's supposedly lurking around the corner), has disclaimers signed that no recourse or any claims are possible for possible side effects of the vaccinations.
The same has happened for vaccinations given to our children.
They know harm is done and allowing successful lawsuits will bankrupt the manufacturers and those politicians who have more than just one finger in the pharmaceutical pie.
Why would that be?

i have five kids , if i knew then what i know now about vaccines, i would not have allowed them on my kids or myself ,,,or let my mom take those flu shots,,,,,she suffers with alzheimers by the way....you are so right, do not trust pharmacueticals,,,,,they are an evil lot and do NOT have our best interests at heart....almost two decades as nurse gives me the right to my opinion and i totally agree with you,,,,my conclusion is that some of us are genetically sturdier than others and have survived some of pharmacueticals onslaught.....its the only thing that makes much sense to me
Absolutely true in many cases.
Let's face it, the trial lawyers in this country are as powerful as the medical industry. Then add to that politicians and government bureaucrats who are always looking for another source of "free money" (the class action suits against the tobacco companies comes to mind). Then add even more, the lottery mentality of all the nanny-state citizens who are looking for a way to get rich off a legitimate mistake.
So there is that side.
Then there is the medical industry and big pharma in collusion with members of the FDA, who often end up on Boards of Directors of the pharma companies after they leave the government position. We do know that many drugs receive approval only to be recalled or even banned after going into large scale use. Then only to find out that the blind studies done were poor or incomplete or that data was actually hidden. Watch the TV ads for, oh, for example, a psoriasis drug I saw recently. Actually lists as a side-effect death. Death. I'm not sure why this would be approved for a skin disease. That's only one example.
I can only say that if I were to be on a jury on one of these lawsuits, I would be examining the motives of the plaintiffs as well as the defendants.

I will follow this closely and see how it plays out...usually it's either thrown out or they admit no guilt and make a settlement..I seriously doubt they get them for manslaughter

They refer to deaths, but wasn't this the vaccine they stopped recommending after somebody won in court that it caused/triggered multiple sclerosis. That was in France too. (Actually, they suspended its use in France) It seems to have quite an impact on the nervous system----and all just in case somebody ends up high risk, ie an intravenous drug user, prostitute....exactly what we all need to protect infants from.
Actually, I really like this method. The Free Market forces bad medicine out and bad research. This is what should happen---too often government gets in the way and protects the big companies. (Like giving them immunity from lawsuits for flu vaccines)
