DIgg--How long until $4.00 gas

I'm from sweden. We pay $8 a gallon. That's what happens when you let socialists into government.

$3.40 to $3.80 here in Oregon already. I agree with another person here...$4 a gallon will seem cheap compared to whats coming.

I would expect gasoline to reach $4.00 by the end of the month, and by mid summer to be around 5-6 dollars. This of course may also occur with perhaps a government idea to rationing in some areas.

Its $3.40 here right now. Give or take of course. And with a $5 jump in oil today, I am sure it will only go up.

by a "medium" relative says by 4th of July. That's in Virginia.

That it will rise further we don't have to doubt, they will find another reason to justify to 'sell' further increases.

In Australia, the price of petrol for (in my neck of the woods) :
- a USA gallon of unleaded petrol AU $5.22 = US$4.89
I calculated this on the 3rd of March, and is already out of date with increase of up to 10cents per litre in bigger cities.

Predictions are that we will have petrol at AU$ 4 per litre within a decade(currently ranging from anywhere between 1.20 to 1.70 per litre)

I confess this doesn't make a lot of sense to me but the Canadians do supply some 10% of our consumption.

The huge increase might come from increased prices (in our decaying dollars) as well as the added transportation costs.

I'm not crazy about NAFTA either, it wasn't ever a 'free trade' treaty, but one regulated and placing us in a less-than-fair position and allowing our 'partners' greater latitude in banking and transportation than we were allowed.

Not being dependent on vehicles much anymore (retired) the decay of our currency scares me much more; new low against the Euro (and I think the Yen too) today: $1.53 : 1 Euro
When it hits $1.64, we will have lost 1/2 of our value against the Euro.
This puts us in a better position for exports, but what the hell do we have left to trade?

The panic will come from the station owners knowing that if there is a shortage (transportation) or conservation (carpooling) kicks in, their immediate profits will throw them for a curve. All panic will come from the uneducated.

This is only the highest reported price. I've been told it's near $4.50 in other parts of CA.

showed the first two stations to raise gas to over $4.00 per gal. (both in California). They advised to get your car pool lined up as $4.00 gas will by here nationwide by Memorial Day.

I bought gas in Phx, AZ last night for $2.96.

Months ago I predicted $4/gal before the start of summer.

Today I got the cheapest gas and it was about $3.65. San Diego is one of the priciest places for gas, even worse than LA for some reason. It will easily be $4 in CA during the summer.

it will improve your gas usage...I have been doing it for a year now. no prob with vw car
