Embarassing yourself by emailing Morning Joe
On Morning Joe, this morning, he mentions how Ron Paul supporters were emailing in, and accusing him of "being in the tank" for McCain, because he was claiming that McCain had wrapped up the nomination.
Apparrently lots of people were emailing him with the same line I see posted here about the number of delegates, and how if you only include "officially" pledged delegates, etc. etc.
And so he continues, I can see how someone that believes that 911 was an inside job, and that the moon landing never happened might think That. Great, Ron Paul supporters being labeled as jerks, because of some of the idiots around here.
"So what" you say ? Well, we will never get people to see our side of the important political policies, like ending the iraq war, or limiting the power of the federal reserve if the impression that they get is that people that believe this things are crazy. MSM is important, despite the fact that you wish it would not be.
When the average person makes a decision, they use a few specific rules (called heuristics) to make these decisions.
People do not take time to research issues. This is well understood, and used by major political parties, and others to get people to support their policy. (see http://research.yale.edu/... ) there are a few hot buttons that get people to ignore you, and the conspiracy guys are pushing every one.
I was here back in July, when this was a great site. Lots of creative people, throwing around good ideas, and then acting on them.
Now its become mostly a bunch of crazies that can't find their own ass with both hands. If something doesn't happen to change this, the Revolution will fizzle out, and all that will be left is Alex jones Howling into the microphone, and taking your money.
I have considering just leaving, but I hate to, because this movement has such potential. I always knew it would be a hard fight, but never thought it would be with people within the movement. but there is no choice.
So please,
Take your conspiracy theories and paranoia elsewhere. Listen to other people, don't call people liars everytime they don't agree with you. Don't think something is a conspriacy just because you don't understand it. Those of you, who are like me, that are also fed up with the stupidity, please help end this, and confront those that are irrational, that can't keep their conspiracy theories to themself, and those that would try to profit by piggy backing their pet conspiracy on the revolution.

Not gonna happen
The kooks aren't going to leave. Almost all the normal people have left. This campaign is beyond repair. Just relax and resign yourself to waiting 4 more years when a libertarian Republican with a clean slate can run without all these kooks associating themselves with him. I hate being associated with these people. It's almost embarrassing to tell people you're a Paul supporter, because they think that means you're a 9/11 kook or a racist.
What happened to..
I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it?
it has turned out to be I will only defend your free speech as long as I agree with it and it doesn't cause any problems for me, and I can still feel warm and fuzzy after
Well you are not free to yell fire in a crowded theater
However, I did not say there should be a law against emailing stupid comments to morning joe, I just said it was dumb, and I would prefer that you not do it, since it reflects poorly on all Ron Paul supporters.
Given Ron Pauls recents comments it becomes all the more clear.
I
I agree
you are assuming...
that what Morning Joe is saying is actually true. How do you know that there was a single email sent to him? YOU DON'T!!! I think the media is also trying to paint us as crazy people and also divide us as well. MOst of what they say is wrong, what makes you think that they are right when they talk about us? Spin, spin and more spin... Just like Ron Paul is a racist - so rediculous. Still the biggest hit job so far!
I will defend everyone on this site to the end. Some people are rude, but I wouldn't criticise anyone's believes. We all come from different backgrounds and experiences. We are all mad, but mad at different levels and freaked about different aspects of this campaign. We are all being challenged by literally EVERYONE around us. The media as well as family and peers. Let's give each other some slack here and understand that you are also doing what they want you do to.
I'm emotional about this too. However, it was easy to be nice and more optimistic on the Daily Paul last summer. I wasn't here until December, but could imagine.... Ron Paul was on the up and up (and still is... ) but there have been some major battles.
We should look to each other as friends and peers and not enemies. Sometimes I feel like this website is one of my favorite mental escapes, and in a way look at you guys as my friends.
Sometimes I love the posts and other times not so much. Respond to the ones you like and move over the ones you don't. Relax and remember that we are in this together...
Go have a drink and relax... This movement is real, but we are also different and have different beliefs. The truthers are people too and have a right to be a part of this group also. I love that they are out there and think it's ok for them to get people's attention. We are a THINKING GROUP. Our mission is to get people to think!!!! I don't care if I get people to vote for RP anymore, I just want them to think.
Who cares about Morning Joe??? At this point they could say what ever they want and it will never be positive. Get over it.... We are on the ground and way more powerful.
You know
because we have a history of flooding people email boxes every time we get pissed at someone......and each time we get called "kooks" and rightly so
His show calls for tasering
His show calls for tasering and imprisoning people in foreign lands for exercising their first amendment rights. This in America. How dare you to try to inhibit anyone'e e-mail response to Treasonous Joe.
That being said...
then why can't the rest of us just "not comment" and let those posts fall off?

As a former registered
As a former registered independent voter, I learned about Ron Paul in early July and have been a strong supporter ever since. I visited dailypaul from the start and learned a lot here. I became county chair, an alternate delegate, called hundreds of voters and donated money to Ron Paul's campaign. But I have to say that all the 911 theories turned me off, too. In fact the word "libertarian" still makes me queasy.... Kidding! So if a strong Ron Paul supporter like myself is uncomfortable with most of these conspiracy theories, imagine how some uninformed voters view some of our supporters.
Actually, I enjoyed dailypaul more last summer myself. And while I am happy to see the traffic here increase, I feel the number of truly educational articles has declined somewhat. However, I believe that after the election, more of the great articles that we saw in the past will start to reappear. The Ron Paul movement is here to stay.
Degenerated Daily Paul and Truthers Agenda?
I am like many of the people who come to this board. Number 1, I am a Ron Paul supporter and have contributed the full amount possible to our campaign for freedom as well as many hours of time canvassing and getting our beloved candidates message out to as many people as possible. I, too have felt the sting of hearing Ron Pauls supporters are fringe and kooks. As a supporter, I have never said that 911 shouldnot or couldnot be reinvestigated, but the Alex Jones site would have been a much more appropriate place for that agenda. The agenda here was to bring together ideas and come together as supporters of Ron Paul and get our man "Elected" as our next president of the United States Of America. As I see it ALL Ron Paul supporters ARE my brothers and sisters, but with that being said it still doesnot change the fact that this conspiracy talk did and has harmed our main objective by allowing others to label our candidate (whom has only stated that he would be open to a new investigation of 911) and ALL of his supporters as kooks. Many have stated here on this forum that 911 conspiracy has hurt our main agenda and it doesn't seem to matter to the ones whom keep openly bringing it up on this forum. I am a meetup organizer, and was voted a precinct chairman last night here in Tx as well as now a delegate. With that being said, I spoke with a Huckabee supporter that was a poll worker last night. This is a quote of what she stated, "I can't see myself voting for McCain." "Ron Paul is a kook and so are his supporters." She stated this before she knew (thankfully :) ) that I AM one of his loyal supporters. I then asked her what it was that made her say this. She then informed me. She stated, "Have you heard his position on 911?" I explained to her that he doesn't say 911 was an inside job, but that there were a few discrepancies in the 911 report that could be looked into. she then stated , "Well, I don't like his isolationist policy". I explained to her the difference of being an isolationist and his true stance on a noninterventionist policy. She then stated,"Well I do like his stand on using the constitution., but I wish that some of his supporters weren't such conspiracy theorists and his policy would have been effective in the 1950s but don't apply now." I explained to her that the U.S. constitution is as applicable now as when it was written and even more important now than ever due to the loss of many of our freedoms. I usually appear on the side of this forum as a "guest", but sometimes post as I feel that I am a part of this "R3VoLuTiOn." I reiterate with one of the questions asked here, but donot see an answer to. I will reask this question as I sincerely would like an answer to this often asked question. "WHY do 911 questioners continue to seek answers and justice to questions from governmental officials that have not proven to be honorable or trustworthy"? A bit of Deductive reasoning would possibly have as an analogy: It is like the cart before the horse routine and willnot get any justifiable answer until you get the horse elected 1st (Ron Paul) and then the cart can come afterward as it was meant to follow and the agenda can be not only brought to light, but truthly investigated and answered. Thanks to all who took the time to read this as I know it went a long. We donot want any supporters to leave, but please leave it on the Alex Jones website and allow this forum to be what it was meant to be...Ron Paul in 2008!!!

Check out the transcript (R) Dana Rohrabacher
just delivered, in the House of Rep. Ripping into the justice department blocking EVERY effort he has made to to a proper investigation into WTC1, OK CITY bombing, etc..

& people on here are trying to suggest that 9/11 was NOT a shame.
Please read Rohrabacher's speech, & keep in mind that he was the Charman of the House Investigation & Oversight committe.
whoa
This is truly eye opening. And as for news media coming here, they need somewhere to get new stories from open minded people, we're doing the research that they don't.
The media is bashing us, what else is new?
Fortune Favors the Bold
The moon landing thing is funny. I guess the pundits are reading dailypaul now. Seriously, who cares what he says? At least he has to talk about Ron Paul.
Just ignore the trolls.
Just ignore the trolls. Eventually they'll get bored and leave. That means any and all posts by Ironman77, JLH, OhioForRonPaul.

neoconned posts unless you love foul language and filth
Who's supporters are the crazy ones here?
I haven't seen any Ron Paul supporters fainting and screaming at his rallys, have you?
Funny but true...
Love it!
Well Said! -- totally agree
Use your brains, people. Listen to the enemy (the MSM) and learn to avoid what they love to use against us. And they love to use the whole "conspiracy theory ramblings" to label all Ron Paul supporters (and therefore Ron Paul) as nuts.
If you do happen to believe in a conspiracy theory (let's say I believe man never made it to the moon and then of course there's the 9/11 truthers), don't connect it to Ron Paul. It will only be used against us.
I also notice in comments to articles that aren't even that negative against Ron Paul that some use the opportunity to write angry, ranting letters. That goes against us too. It makes the MSM's job just that much easier to discredit everything Ron Paul says.
Ever hear of catching flies with honey instead of vinegar?
If you're obsessed with conspiracy theories, talk amongst yourselves on your local Ron Paul Talk Meetup groups in emails. Please keep it out of the public eye (youtube comments, comments to articles, etc.), even if you don't realize how much it is hurting us and Ron Paul.
Amen.
Amen.
Take a Vote
I have read a lot of threads like this one, and its getting somewhat annoying.
I am also a talk show host out of Austin, TX (also syndicated to stations in OR, MT, IL, FL, TN, AK...) My listeners and I have supported Ron Paul for many years, and take pride in the fact that we have accomplished more than we ever dreamed we could with the run for President in 08.
I am supported by pretty much everyone running the campaign, and meet-up groups in Austin.
So on my show we discuss 911, Aeorsol spraying, Halliburton camps, social engineering, secret societies... as well as eroding liberty, the constitution, and AmSoc (American Socialism)
We try to back everything up with common sense and data. In a way WE are conspiracy debunkers, and those hiding the truth about 911, the NAFTA corridor, or the SPP in plain sight are the conspirators, and their loyal believers are the theorists.
The person posting this suggests that we don't mention "Camps" but the SF Chronicle did just that a few weeks ago: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi...
That said I have tried to stay on point here, and up until now I have NEVER posted anything that might be used against the Revolution.
(BTW... What really did happen with the dead female intern -Lori Klausutis - found in Joe Scarborough's office? The old adage: "Never get caught with a dead girl or a live boy" didn't apply to Joe who Left congress shortly there after for his high profile position as a paid propagandist.)
Anyway, I think its a mistake to chase us away from Daily Paul, which I for one am grateful for.
So take a vote here, and if the majority would like us to Git, or if the publishers of Daily Paul don't appreciate us here... I for one will not come back or promote this site on my radio show ever again.

The problem is you do not use common sense
or data, you use innuendo, you assume that if you don't know the answer to something, (or even don't understand the answer) that it is because of some nefarious cover up. Or you take some small reference, like the one sentence in the SF chronicle article, as absolute proof - as you know, newpapers are mistaken all the time, but you act like they are gospel if they support the conclusion you believe. Frankly, the other parts of that article are more important than these camps. BTW there was talk of these camps being built in the 1960's for the black panthers and communists.
The Lori klausutis reference shows how you use innuendo. You have no evidence of anything, only some speculation. its kind of like being a gossip, only on steroids. I'll bet her family is so happy you are throwing her name around for your own political purposes.
As far as a vote, fine, but how shall we label you ?
Umm...
... innuendo is when you use some oblique reference such as a strawman "fact", guilt-by-association or indirectly related information to attack someone personally.
You should know the definition well because it is what you do 99% of the time in this forum.
Example:
1) You read something in a newspaper. Newspapers are not reliable. Therefore you are an idiot.
2) Detention camps have been mentioned in newspapers in some context going back 40 years. Therefore all detention camps are good and any mention in a newspaper just reinforces their goodness. If asbestos was praised in the 1960's then one must believe all future articles about asbestos are positive in nature even if the text seems to be negative. If one article 40 years ago states something positive about any topic then one must believe all future articles are positive or you are an idiot.
It seems your "style" of "debate" is mostly ad hominem personal attack and strawmen. Might make you feel good about yourself but none of it would pass muster in a Logic 101 class...
Nice Reply - I Agree

That was an op-ed, a piece submitted to the newspaper. Not a hard news story.
Amen To That!! This Board Has Degenerated....
Into the some kind whacked out forum for everyone to talk about their pet conspiracy theories. Are some of those "conspiracies" true?? Probably....But the fact that you talk about them over and over and over splinters this movement.
If you want to change things you have to change them from the INSIDE!!! Don't you people get it???
If you want a new investigation of 9/11 then SUPPORT and ELECT the right people to office!! Then...Let THEM fight from WITHIN!!!
WE CAN'T WIN FROM THE OUTSIDE! UNDERSTAND THAT???
All the screaming that some of you people do just hurt the movement so much that it sickens me!
Perhaps the rational and more emotionally controlled folks should leave this site and head to a more respectable forum.
People who let their emotions control them will ALWAYS be defeated because they don't think RATIONALLY, and that is what we are seeing here today!!
Either get yourselves together and understand what we really have to do, or stay away from those of us that want to speak to one another in way that will actually HELP this movement rather than HURT it!
To put it quite simply....JUST THINK!

it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope
"This is no time for ceremony. The question before the House is one of awful moment to this country. For my own part I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery; and in proportion to the magnitude of the subject ought to be the freedom of the debate. It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty towards the majesty of heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings.
Mr. President, it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren, till she transforms us into beasts. Is this the part of wise men, engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty? Are we disposed to be of the number of those who, having eyes, see not, and having ears, hear not, the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation?
For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth -- to know the worst and to provide for it." -Patrick Henry
I think that our founding fathers would have been labeled "conspiracy theorists" by witting and unwitting disinformation agents. As such, please check out this post.
Glen Beck radio show
I was just listening to Glen Beck's radio show. He was discussing the texas vote yesterday with a GOP analysis. They talked about the Ron Paul win in his district. They pointed out that RP won by a much larger margin than had been predicted several weeks ago. They joked how that must be some kind of conspiracy theory. They were being sarcastic about the kooky supporters of RP and how there is a conspiracy theory under every rug. Perceptions like that are a liability to our revolution, they hurt our image and even more discourage additional supporters.
Patriot or sheep?
A prudent person questions those things that are doubtful. I am not afraid of asking for and demanding truth from our government. Most people are content with just sitting idly by as the murder of almost 3,000 people get swept under the rug.
I am not one of those people sir. The responsibility of good citizens is too question government every step of the way. By not doing so we are setting ourselves up for corruption and tyranny. I ask you why you are so offended by people expressing their "theories" or discussing FACTS which are now irrefutable?
You seem to forget the people screaming the loudest about 9/11 are the families of the victims and the first repsonders themselves. So when you tell people to silence their voices you tell the very people your type claims to support with bumper stickers to silence themselves.
Those in the media, such as Joe Scarborough and his gaggle of fascist pundits are part of the problem. Apathetic citizens is the other problem.
Maybe you should send a letter to these Patriotic people who also question the events of 9/11 and the subsequent whitewash. You embarrass yourself.
It was his guest saying that we should be put into secret torture camps for expressing our theories and doubts. Why didn't you mention that in your tirade?

Very well put Joe
we owe it to all the families that lost love ones to voice our questions and and pronounce the facts anyway we can..take the truthers out you got nothing because they are the challenging ones that are actually doing something about it..
Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master... George Washington
Here is the problem with
Here is the problem with your whole premise. You expect a corrupt government to do something about itself. It's a longer road than what you people want to travel. We need to have a broad message that appears to most Americans, win election and then do the investigation. The broad message is what Ron Paul expresses in the debates and at rallies. There is a reason why the good doctor doesn't go into 9/11, the fake moon landing, concentration camps, the NWO and everything else. It does not work with the masses. If you trust the good doctor, like I do, follow his lead. Anything else is counterproductive.
Couldn't Have Said It Better Myself!!!
But some people will never learn. Screaming at people does nothing.
Stealthily taking power from within and THEN exposing things is how the must be done.
But then...Some just refuse to think!
LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD!
The elections themselves are questionable. So then what?
80% of the vote is tallied by a private corporations with ties to this administration and. They have been proven to be easily hacked and we have evidence of malfeasances all across the country. The vote seems to be nothing more than a pacifier for the American people to believe they still have voice in their own government.
Don't forget the good Doctor has always questioned things and believe their should be another investigation. He also believe this administration is capable of creating or using another contrived Gulf Of Tonkin type of incident to start a new war with Iran. Isn't that implying that some people might "conspire"?. He said this before the House of Represatives. Is he less a Patriot or a kook? No, he is a man questioning his government.

It is absolutely true that Dr Paul's people are scutinized more than any other group. Let's all remember to hit the "pause button," THINK, and then emulate the good doctor. As frustrating as this all may be, keep in mind how long he has been doing this and yet he still exudes integrity.
Keep the focus and give them no ammunition to mock this movement.

Ironman is my top tier comic-book hero... it's nice to see him finally get his 'propers' via a movie deal... lol
That being said, Mr Scarborough is part of the machine. Let's not forget Lori Klausutis - the young lady found dead in his office.
Let us not forget that he is doing his part, by labeling all RP supporters as 'a little off'.
Is there any wonder that folks in support of any candidate have a similar breakdown of people questioning what the Fed.Gov is spooning out? Ya don't think 'Morning Joe' gets goofy emails by the boat load?
But it's only RP supporters that get the 'kooky' label.
If the MSM came here, they'd
If the MSM came here, they'd have ammo for a year to use against us. But you shepple want to say oh poor me they are unfair. Get off your lazy ass and go do something for Ron Paul. Talk about the things we can prove. Have intelligent and friendly discussion with the people.
I just can't read it one more time without saying something...
It's "sheeple", not "shepple".

I voted for Ron Paul. He drew double digits in my county in southeast Ohio. I handed out hundreds of slim jims, did sign waves with a group of friends who I convinced not by saying 9/11 Truth but pointing out the problems we have as a country that are provable. Am I satisfied? No. I'm not satisfied till we win. But I am realistic at the same time. Dozens of people told us they like Ron Paul's message but a lot of his supporters are "kooks" and they are voting democrat. If they came to this site, they'd have their belief that a lot of his supporters are "kooks" reinforced.
And you
Are doing a great job reinforcing that belief. Nice work.
