What is the next step you ask, well here is one possibility.
It occurred to me that the one power that our group has yet chosen not utilized, is the power to "Recall" elected officials at various levels throughout the country. This would be one additional vehicle by which Dr. Paul and Revolution supporters could leverage our present political position and increase Doctor Paul’s Congressional clout. If we can maintain our solidarity as a strong unit of political power, I believe that we can be very successful and achieve a goal of replacing anti-Constitutional establishment officials at every level with Ron Paul pro-Constitutional prototypes. This could be achieved by using the power of our meet-up groups and our ability to raise money and get the needed signatures we would require. We could make up our own rules regarding the process of selecting targets, as well as the necessary steps required to recall them. The first step would probably be for supporters to present the facts about a potential target to one of the meet-up groups in that corresponding part of the country. Once the meet-up group agrees with the chosen target they might possibly elect to conduct a joint meeting with other meet-up groups to enlist their opinion and bring them on-board, because the meet-up groups will end up doing most of the heavy lifting on such a project. The third level would then possibly be to bring this to the attention of our Internet web sites for further on-line debate and then possibly check with Dr. Paul to get his blessing. Once the target is identified, our Revolution web sites should be made aware so that all supporters have an opportunity to e-mail and call this targets office to fire a shot across their bow to let them know that they have in deed, been targeted and allow them to change their evil ways. Possibly, we will want to use something like the “Three Strikes and You Are Out” rule of thumb to be the thresh hold. We must not drag this process out but on the other hand we need to be sure of our target. I would think that the very first target should be someone who we can be fairly sure of a victory over. Remember, we will be able to recall numerous elected officials at the same time as long as our organization abilities can handle it. Our economy will only get worse, but this will only act to help us recruit additional supporters. Please provide your opinions and comments regarding the leveraging of our power in the manner.
On the macro level, I believe that our best course of action might be four fold:
1. Continue to educate everyone we can regard to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. This will become easier as the dollar and the economy continue to fall.
2. We need everyone to think seriously about running or at least encourage someone else that we know to run for any elected office that is about to become available. Very soon unemployment will begin to claim rapidly. These elected jobs usually pay well, offer job security and include very good benefits. Knowing this may prompt a large number of RP supporters to run for various elected offices. These include local, city, county, state and federal offices. Elections are held often, especially if an official is recalled first. Then once elected to a position they should try and appoint or hire only those who truly support the Constitution and The Bill of Rights. The establishment teaches their people to do the same thing but with opposite views.
3. We need to immediately begin to plan for the recall of various elected officials. A target list needs to be compiled in every state and region. Meet up groups must take the lead on this one. I suggest that meet-up groups join with other nearby meet-up groups to be more effective and in this why have more boots on the ground to advance their agenda's. We must remember that recalling one bad elected official and replacing them with a RP Prototype official is equal to two good ones. Start locally if need be as a practice for larger operations.
4. Young male and female supporters should join a local chapter of the Jaycee’s to gain important knowledge as to the political "Do's and Don’ts", parliamentary procedure as well as learn procedural rules. This would be perfect for college students who upon graduation could run for an elected office. Who knows what that may lead to in the future, plus it will look really good on a resume. This country needs more young people in particular to reach down and pick up the torch of freedom and liberty and help lead this country out of the dark economic Abyss that it is quickly tumbling into. They must come to realize that in this moment of time and space all of us are standing at the very cross road between Freedom and Liberty in one direction and Oppression and Tyranny in the other. This is the classic historical choice between good and evil or any other two opposing forces. Throughout History great battles were fought and won by those taking bold action at the right time. This is the right time for Bold Action. Only history will record the results of the battle that we are about to enter. The question is, will we allow the dark forces of tyranny to win or will the light of Liberty continue to shine down on this Country.

I think this is the most important post around now and I would like for it to be captured in "Recent blog posts."
The other most important activity I can think of would be a revamping of our electoral system for national figures. I mean, I can't think of any office except the President that we vote for nationally. I don't think it should be left up to the states to do it their own way. I think it should be a national election, done the same way in all the states on the same day, on triplicate forms with the voter taking one and two going to independent firms. I don't think the GOP and DEMs should be able to count their own votes; they have too large a stake in it. And I think the votes should have a number system that is consecutive and accounted for.

A MUST--we just ran for local council. We took most 'write in' votes in city. We got a late start to put our hats in the ring..but was excellent all in all...still, don't let lack of a 'public office' stop you---use your citizenry rights...attend city council, speak up, get issues on agenda (find out how), stir the proverbial bucket for the good.
3. We need to immediately begin to plan for the recall of various elected officials.
Yes, as shared below, in Wichita Falls, a group of citizens!!! recalled the mayor, which led to 'resignation' (impending firing) of the city manager, his right-hand woman--both of whom choked the city for 25 years. Ultimately, and probably the best part---the editor for the local paper was turned out too...(he covered up the corruption)--and greatly used his press to persecute and lie against citizen putting on the recall....BUT WE WON.
RECALL TIPS: you must tap into, and rally and align with different citizens and groups who oppose corrupt officials (must for alliance).
Must have an alternate form of press. I began a newsletter via email. You can start blogs/forums too...or land-mail or handout newsletters. You know, just like they did it in the colonial days.
Someone must do Freedom of Information requests to view city docs. and come up with the data to support corruption going on. This takes experience with city affairs and governance to know policy/laws--to see just how they are breaking them. Look particularly for crony contract awards, favoritism and nepotism in hiring, misspending/misappropriating public funds---those are fun, illegal, and most likely to be occurring in all towns.
People must donate time and money locally to put on a recall. Like a campaign--it takes flyers, mailings--stamps....and your own press---anyway you can manage to get the word out...especially to EXPOSE the corruption.
Be sure to file appropriate campaign recall financial reports (simply). You can consult any state elections divisions for rules too.

Yes..I keep asking my mate---after we come home from conservative or 'republican' gatherings...I say...where is the next generation of conservatives? Why do I ask this? Invariably, the crowd is all gray haired---like us, only much older even. And, take your young to city council meetings with you. No age is hardly too early. Civics must begin in the home, as schools teach the opposite--unity and compliance at all cost.

If we just had more supporters like you it would make the job a whole lot easier. I hate to ask you, but would you consider writing a Blog or starting a web site possible some like "RP Recall Center", that just focuses on our future Recall Elections attempts, Special Elections, as well as possibly providing updates, list of events and meeting, heads-up on various activities, provide answers to recall questions that people will have and provide background on RP Protoype Candidates that plan to run for those positions. You might, think about including a published target list and act as a kind of clearing house for those who have valueable inside information regarding a particular corrupt political. We could then put together a "Money Bomb" to support your efforts. In addition, advertising space could be sold. I'm sure that many companies large and small support Dr. Paul and would love to advertise on such a site as this.

Good Ways to Use our Power
These other ventures people have already started. The ringsiderevolution, politicallore site, the rprradio, and the many others. We raised 40 million for Dr. Pauls campaign. We should be able to raise a couple more million for his message.

What I think we need first is a good blueprint, followed by a step by step game plan or procedure and then a model recall test case, in which we force a local official into a special election. This will mean that our first test will be a likily success. From this I believe we can gain the knowledge we need to ramp it up quickly and fry some much bigger fish soon there after. At the same time we will share our information with all of the meetup groups,as well as provide them with a proven blueprint and game plan for victory, and then basically take the show on the road. Each new candidate for the recalled position should be a RP prototype and blessed by Dr. Paul if possible. We would of course invite Doctor Paul to provide any input that feels is important and to speak to all of our rallies.
Anyway, that's a snap shot of the basic plan so far.

I think we should wait to see what our President has to say about the next phase. That's right Ron Paul is already my president, since he is the only leader I will be following. I am a free man and follow only whom I choose, I will not follow Hillary, Obama or McCain. So it doesn't matter the out come of the election, this is a Revolution and Ron Paul is our leader.

Love the post. Many great ideas being suggested. I myself plan on working for a canidate who is running for congress in N.H. and will continue to canvass here in MA. for Ron Paul.
Somehow if there was a way to establish some kind of a headquarters and or t.v./radio station that would promote Ron Paul 24/7 and any other similar minded canidates running for congress, that would be awesome. The supporters could have a monthly "bomb" to pay for this type of operation.

I'm sure you are all aware of how the interest and popularity of the whole "Gobal Warming" issue jumped-up dramatically after a movie was made, An Inconvenient Truth.
Regardless of how you feel about Al Gore (not the point here), that movie put the Global Warming issue on the map in a way that it never had ever been before.
So, what if a full-motion picture documentary film was made that showed Ron Paul, going around the Country, speaking about true Liberty, a moral, Constitutional Foreign Policy, an honest, Constitutional money system, a return to Constitutional taxation, a resotration of civil liberities, etc. -??
The film could use the best of the many YouTube clips and other internet films that have been made about Ron Paul (live campaign speeches, etc.). It could also provide important American History details, and feature interviews and clips from the "The Money Masters", "America: From Freedom To Fascism", and "Zeigeist" films. It could show the size and passion of the many Ron Paul rallies to a mass audience.
The movie would be a new educational tool capable of reaching a mass audience and forcing them to finally think.
Heck, it might even win an "Oscar" if it was well made and powerfully done. It could also elevate Ron Paul's celebrity status to where there was an outpouring of demand for him to re-run for President in 2012.

put out in the American Opinion magazine is a voting record where congressional votes are rated comparing them to our Constitution. A 100% rating would mean the congressman voted constitutionally on those votes.
This would be a good resource to find out which candidates to target for recall first!
These Great Ideas Just Keep Coming In
Ron, you nailed it, another good idea.
What I am planning to do very soon is to gather these great ideas and start making a list of them right in the body of the main Posted Topic. Once we gather enough of these ideas, I will combine everything that we as a group agree on and put this into a separate posting and then send a copy to RP headquarters, to RP radio outlets and post on other RP sites for mass distribution, as well as for additional comments.
This snowball is really begining to increase in size as we roll along. I really believe that this could be very successful for us and the country.

I don't know the answers to these great questions but possibly another supporter can provide that information. Note, that one of the other comments states that only 39 states have the right of "Recall". But, like you I can not believe that this right is not apart of either the State of Texas or the Federal Constitution. The question that I have along that line is that, does Texas still have the right to remove itself from the union and form it's own country? I had heard years ago that the Bush family was pushing to change this but if they were successful has it been challenged in court, yet??

i know it might not get off the ground unless we had explicit physical evidence, but maybe if a court case was put together that was coherent and named all of the names (that we are aware of) who are conspiring against the government, the constitution, the people of the united states and the world...'conspiracy' is still against the law in my state.

Each State has its own Ron Paul state coordinator in place already. Each coordinator should remain the contact person for their state. The entire organization needed is already in place.
Each State coordinator should have discussions with their state’s meet up group leaders, and pick the weakest congressman or senator for the first recall in their State. That alone will scare the poop out of those who were not yet targeted. We then pick them off one at a time through recalls. Each time we win, those left standing will possibly have a change of heart as to how they should be voting regarding Constitutional issues. We continue the process until the last traitor against our constitution is removed.
This should be quite simple to organize because we have one very well oiled organizational machine already in place.

Wow, what a wonderfully thought out comment. I believe that you are right on the money. Please stay engaged with this posting and try and add additional comments, we need to keep this ball moving forward if we want to score a touchdown. Note that I added a little bit to the orginal posting which you might want to comment further on. We need this exchange of ideas in order to formulate a good solid plan. Over the years before I retired I found it like, "pulling teeth" to extract thoughts and ideas from my engineers and others who were reluctant to share information or felt that their idea might not work. I always pointed out that there are no bad or wrong ideas. The key is to brain storm problems until something really good pop's out of no where. Free exchange of ideas is a wonderful process and I strongly suggest we begin this process here and now, rather than ringing out hands in despair. Remember this, "Every problem contains within it, the solution".

What is interesting about this is that everyone appears to like the idea. Look at the great additional ideas that we have already received. We just need to keep working it. Once the real action starts and we recall our first target and then replace them, the fun will reallystart. We'll need to get behind a RP Prototype in order for them to win and we will probably need to raise a few dollars and get the meetup groups to help post signs and hand out bumper stickers. This whole project will be more fun than we can handle, especially when you get to see the results pour in from all over the country and the MSM is forced to report these activities.

It would keep them busy trying to defend themselves -- or, they might just resign? Hopefully! Then RP candidates could run in the special elections!
I think I read somewhere that during the Revolutionary War, only about 10% of the population actively supported the rebellion in the beginning. That sounds about right, that's about what we've got, 10% on average nationwide. That means people, that we are enough in numbers to get this ball rolling to the point where it snowballs and mows down the whole rotten bunch. Get your canvasing shoes on! This dollar / credit crisis plays right into our hands!
BTW, one my "Representatives" is a Republicrat and needs to GO. Do recalled legislators still get to participate in the special Congressional retirement plan? I hope not!

It appears that this idea is really catching on. I have added some additional thoughts to the above main posting and would like to have you and others comment on them. More ideas and thoughts will be added to the main post in the days to come, as well. I believe that we need to formulate a good basic step by step plan in order to successfully achieve this task and then publish it to all of our RP web sites for further comment.
Terry, please help us keep this project alive and to move it forward. The Worlds full of great ideas but most die on the vine, the key is to take Action, for action is the creative power behind accomplishment.
We also must multi-task by developing at list of the first ten or so easy targets who possibly just squeeked by and won their last election. We need, as one comment point out, to defeat our first target and then start rolling them up quickly, one by one. As this economy goes further south our chances of vistory will greatly increase and recall signatures can be easily gathered from the lines at the unempolyment offices.

You see? People are ultimately followers no matter what ideology or philosophy you espouse. Without friends and supporters you have no sense of belonging and no sense of accomplishment.
Ron's distancing himself from the 'revolution' is a practical matter... He cannot be a Congressman and try to herd all of our lovable crazies 24 hours a day.
Ron laid the groundwork, but frankly there will never be a viable Libertarian-leaning Republican party without a real leader who is committed to the cause 'til the end. Human nature and the fact that most people have jobs to go to ensure this.

We helped conduct a mayoral recall in Wichita Falls TX in 04. It was wildly fun and very productive.
It resulted in the dismissal of a whole pack of corrupt cronies---mayor was recalled, the city manager, and his female assistant---who choked the city for 25 years, we turned out...it was great! Who would have believed it.
