How Conspiracy Theories hurt Ron Paul

How can we convince these people that they need to put down their shock jocks like Alex Jones and start building simple points? We don't need to talk about UN food control, fake moon landing, concentration camps, 9/11 "Truthers" and on down the line.

We need to come up with a way we can build points on things most Americans see - free trade taking our jobs away, how the declining dollar effects gas prices, food prices, etc., how both parties are advocating amnesty, how we are almost bankrupt, why we need to end these wars, social security, medicare, education, etc. I could go on and on. These are points that are all proven. We need to take them and put together a solid presentation that will open the eye of every American.

Also, is being a Republican a good thing for us. To me, there is no difference between the Republican't and Dumbocrat parties. I believe this is the past and the future is a movement of intelligent Americans with ideas expressing themselves without political parties and will be labeled as progressive, moderate, conservative.

RP has been "Wacked" by the wackos!!!!!

This campaign has indeed been mortally wounded by wacked out conspiracy IDIOTS! Two days ago, having found that a large number of the ID RP Precinct Leaders are the very same sub-species of nut cases, I offically resigned as an RP Precinct Leader. I will NOT have my good name associate with these sub-intelligent loons.

In 1988, I ran for Gov on the LP ticket and met RP that year in Minneapolis. I am heart sick that I have to spend valuable time, energy, and money overcoming the drivel spread by these idiots who have attached themselves to the RP campaign. Like the aids virus, there is no getting rid of them. Like the old "Lyndon Larouche stain", this one might very well have been a fatal wound to his campaign.

So, the hell with it! I'm outta here! I will most like be a voting delegate at the ID convention in June, and will vote my vote for RP. But I will have nothing to do with any more local folks, because quite frankly, most of them are 'truthers'. Damn them all and the horse they rode in on.

This is my final post. Aint you truther trolls Pleased!

Spam

The truthers are long gone, and I don't hear anyone talking about moon landing being a fake. Will you please stop bringing this up over and over again, this issue was addressed a year ago and supposedly put to rest, but the smear lives on.

AMEN! Halleluja....

Build on common ground and interest.

Conspiracy theories (EVEN IF TRUE) will ALWAY put up a impenetrable wall of resisance to the persons mind and thought process.

Well said do not flag this

Well said

do not flag this moment of clarity in a sea of unmoderated nonsense

The answers to your issues

The answers to your issues are very simple: http://www.ronpaul2008.co... Go to that website (the official campaign website). Read the issues presented by Ron Paul.

Those issues are how we will win this thing!

Flagged the topic

.. why bring this up again and again.. what are you doing for the campaign?

One meaning of conspiracy theory: the history that hasn't been written

fake moon landing, concentration camps, 9/11?????

Forget it. You can't even talk to Boobus AmericANUS about the Federal Reserve without his eyes glazing over. It's gonna take a lot of pain to get Boobus thinking outside of the box the State Education Camps put him in.

For now, Ron Paul is running

For now, Ron Paul is running as a Republican. Until he says otherwise, the movement is going to vote in Ron Paul Republicans where they can, and become delegates for the hopefully brokered convention in September. To create a change, it is most probable that we will have to work from the inside out. Take over the GOP and institute Constitutionalist agendas again. It's already happening in many states and there are quite a few threads on DP replete with the good news of how the movement is achieving this. The best thing you can do is just ignore the conspiracy stuff and keep putting forth ideas on the message to put forth to the american public. The more you battle the conspiracy stuff, the more derision you will cause, because people here believe in their 1st amendment right. Just let them post whatever they want, and you post what you want.

Why Are You Here?

Inane drivel. Go back to the Hillary campaign.

Yes, it's simply an effort

Yes, it's simply an effort to malign Paul supporters and hijack the board with. . . nothing.

Are you a troll?

Just Kidding. You're exactly right about all of the conspiracy BS! I have met plenty of great people that don't support RP due to all of the conspiracy trash that surrounds his campaign. Solid points without all of the flaky conspiracy theories is the way to go.

posted elsewhere, but directed to you and ohioanronpaul

Fortune Favors the Bold

I realize this post is going to get flamed. However, I felt the need to adress this issue. I consider myself an intelligent, discerning, informed person, not a "true believer" in any sense of the world.

The New World Order is a real thing. It is not the illuminati, or satan worshipers, or shape shifting aliens.
It is simply bankers, corporate leaders, and politicians. They believe in a global economic and political structure, lead by "enlightened" elites, whose decisions are made privately and whose authority supercedes that of "auto-determination." Even if their intentions are noble, we have learned from history that centralized economic planning doesn't work, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
The Constitution is a document that understands history. There are checks and balances to prevent any one group from acquiring too much power. By ceding representative authority and checks and balances to groups of self-appointed elites, we are sure to lose freedom.
The new world order isn't really new. The rule of the aristocratic elite is very old. As Ron Paul says, liberty is new. And it requires constant vigilance. We have allowed our nation to become pacified. Our healthy skepticism of those in power has been replaced by cynicism and snarkiness. The true danger of the New, or really, Old World Order, is that now the level of technology will extend control to every aspect of every individual's life. With a one world government, be it official, or simply unannounced but still for all intents and purposes the true authority, there is no competition, either economically or politically. Even with technology, such a system is not flexible enough to the chaotic undulations of nature. Nevertheless, it can cause much suffering and death.
Many 'conspiracy theorists" mix up fact and fiction. They assume all conspiracies to be true, and don't question their own assumptions with the same rigor that they question authority. They, like the media manipulated masses, choose what to believe before the facts are presented. That said, it is ultimately irrelevant what these individuals believe as long as they support the principles and the fight we are working towards. An effort to purge conspiracy theorists will only create division and diversion, as we need unity to fight against our common enemy. Rather then attack conspiracy theorists, those of us who are of a more rational mind state should simply make our voices heard too, so people not converted to our cause can see there is a diversity of viewpoints in our movement. We can't win by becoming a church.
Perhaps some people are turned off by the conspiracy theorists. I don't believe catering to the cowardly masses will serve our interest. It is our courage and conviction that makes us strong.

Great post!

Viva la Revolution!

Methinks you are the troll.

Methinks you are the troll. "Great people that don't support RP due to all of the conspiracy trash" - pffffft. That's total bs. And all of us who are proactive in this movement know it.

no

he is a realist

blind

No one need convince me that conspiracy's are going on every day.
It is a matter of perspective. But, I believe that If you do not believe in conspiracy's then you do not believe that there is a blackout on Ron Paul's presidential campaign..................................... He raised more money in the last 3 months of 2007 ................................than all (ALL) the republicans combined .................................and then receives less (LESS) media coverage that any .................................. (ANY LOW FUNDER) Candidate in Jan, Feb> That is a blackout (the media did it together so that rules out coincidence) so my only belief is it was coordinated. If you are employed by another campaign or the CFR or someone that are buddies with them fine be negative. But if you are a real Ron Paul supporter then do not pretend that you are stupid. I do not believe you are stupid. .......................................................................................... Conspiracy theories have not hurt Ron Paul. ................. Conspiracy's news blackouts by the eastern establishment and the media have hurt Ron Paul. Our job is to educate the public in spite of it.
It is so easy to talk to people and find that they have never heard of Ron Paul. Education must be our strategy.

exactly

bump

Get over it

When was the last time you heard on the news any connection between Ron Paul and conspiracy theorists? Come to think of it, when was the last time you heard Ron Paul's name on the news period??

We all are conspiracy theorists as far as the federal government is concerned. Do you believe in the NAU? If you do (which was one of the conspiracy questions to Dr Paul on the Utube interview) then you too are considered a conspiracy theorist.

Move on and focus on the future for Dr Paul, not the propaganda government controlled media.

Now that's what I'm talkin'

Now that's what I'm talkin' about!!!!

And to be honest, the vast majority of Ron Paul supporters that I've met have never even heard of Alex Jones.

you may digg this

Thank you

for approaching this in a non combative way this time :)
