HYPOTHESIS: MEDIA BLACKOUT MAY HELP PAUL AT THIS STAGE
Bump this folks, it ought to give some encouragement to Paulies who haven't voted yet.
Nobody wants a media blackout, but there doesn't seem to be anything we can do about it. Up to this point, the blackout has hurt us dearly, but now I can see it actually helping.
Every news source I have seen has been reporting that McCain has "clinched" the nomination. As a result, the vast majority of Republican voters now think they have a nominee. Hence, the vast majority of Republican voters will see no point in voting.
I'm guessing that Republican voting will drop off now, clearing the way for RP supporters to be in the majority in the remaining primaries and caucuses. Maybe I'm wrong. It seems to fit the "backdoor" strategy of winning a brokered convention.
I hope I'm right!
And don't forget- You WILL get votes for RP if you send people who don't know/understand him to http://www.apaulogist.com. I was able to get about 100 converts just by sending them to this great educational site.

I agree with this
Fortune Favors the Bold
I have made this point myself. That said, the party is aware of our strategy, as neo-con blods are talking about it. It will be very confusing for them to explain to the rank and file why they still must oppose us after McCain has already "won"!
ha
I think there are going to be a lot of confused people very soon...

The Good News
The good news is we have the Meet-ups. We need to stay active in letting supporters know the good news.
The number of e-mails I get from my groups has trailed off, but they are still working on the convention process, and announcing new projects. In addition to activities, we need to report the good news to the groups in order to keep supporters encouraged; I assume that most of them are not here on the DP every day like me!
For the past month, new donors have outnumbered old ones, so it's important to keep inviting people to get the inside scoop through back-channels. Plug them in to the revolution!
IMissLiberty
Neat!
Yes...just keep going!
I believe that the media blackout WILL help, but regardless of any numbers the solution is ALWAYS to go put up another sign, go tell another friend, send another email...do something!
Ignore the numbers, just go! Go! GOI!!!
There are two candidates now. It is no longer a "race" for the nomination, it is a choice between McCain or Ron Paul.
There is no more "unelectable" because it IS a choice, and it will continue to be a choice for ALL delegates between now and St. Paul.
Now all we have to do is show our Peaceful strength in numbers, education, and dedication to win the remaining states and delegate votes between now and Sept.
Besides, do not forget about all of our events coming up!!!
*April 15
*The March on Washington on the date Ron announces
*Signs/bannars
*other events....
Now it's go time! It's time to go waive signs, go put up posters....go do everything we have been doing to get this far.
Also read my thread "Mcain versus Paul!!!"
apparently the Repub voters
don't even need to actually vote for McCain. You won't see a drop off in the numbers reported for him in upcoming states.
It's a done deal in the eyes of the MSM. You may see some blips about Paul being an also-ran, but that's it. The one sliver of daylight we have is the economy. People are starting to notice what he's saying about the monetary system. Will that translate to votes? Who knows...we'll never know the truth. Continue to educate people with the message.

75% of the votes MY ASS.
You're right,
it's possible that the votes won't be counted.
But I do think the impression people are getting that McCain has the thing wrapped up will help Paul.
it might help some...but
I can see the coverage focusing on the Dem side of the battle, with all of the back-and-forth about the delegate counts, Florida, etc. That race is reportedly very close, so the MSM will run with that while the Rep side gets little or no coverage. I just don't see Paul getting any more coverage now than he did before, except in the economic circles. his opinion is finally getting the respect it deserves.
