Anyone know about LPFM / Microbroadcasting? Can the Revolution do this?

Hello folks,

Just was listening to www.republicbroadcasting.... and John Stadtmiller mentioned Low Power FM's. Does anyone have any experience with this subject?

All MUG's need to setup local stations... pool your money and broadcast the truth, locally.

Forget the main stream media... oh, I already did. :)

Low Power FM

All you need is an FM transmitter and an antenna. Ramsey Corporation sells transmitters as kits or as pre-built units for a few hundred bucks. There is a limit to how much power you are supposed to transmit, but as long as you don't interfere with a licensed station you probably won't be bothered.

I got one several years ago, but I've mostly used it for music. Without much amplification the station can be heard within a mile radius or so.

I've considered buying an RF amplifier from Radio Shack that would increase the range. They only cost about $50.

Of course, you need some control equipment as well......
