Yes or No - Is a Convention Win Possible?

I have been spreading the word and the message of Dr. Paul for the past 8 months. I always tell people who think he's dropped out that it's not over until the convention in St. Paul. Yes or No? Will it be possible for him to win the convention?
I will still spread liberty and the message, but want to know if I am going to end up looking foolish, because Dr. Paul isn't even in the running anymore.
I believe that this is strictly a tactical move on Dr. Pauls part. Allow the other candidates to eviserate each other, watch our economy tank and FRN plummet in value, while our message grows and gains supporters, when the economy crashes and people start looking for answers, then we WOW 'em at the convention.
But I'd like a concrete answer I can have faith in. I've always told people that we're in it for the long haul. I am, but is Dr. Paul?

What are you worried about, get out there and convince people to vote for Ron Paul. If he wins the nomination he will need their vote in November. If he doesn't win the nomination, he will still be leading the Revolution, since he has already won this leadership position. The Revolution doesn't end because the media says so, it ends when we accomplish what we set out to accomplish.

The perfect storm is brewing.
Never in world history, let alone U.S. history, have we experienced what we are about to. Total economic collapse. It can happen at any time. The FED and other central banks around the world are trying to circumvent the inevitable, but they have no workable solutions to the chaos they, themselves, have created.
The indicators are scary (buy silver, gold, basic food items, and have a good chunk of cash on hand). Watch the overseas markets for early indicators and be prepared.
McCain will melt down, because he has no knowledge of monetary policy. Ron Paul will be interviewed more and more. His voice will be heard!
There is another purpose to getting as many delegates at the convention, and that is to vote on GOP policy. VERY IMPORTANT! We have to influence policy and take over at every level at every opportunity. Whether you are a Republican or not, the most effective change should focus on "working" the GOP party. Use their own system against them. The Neocons did it to us. Let's do it to them. Run them out!

Other markets are still open while our markets are closed during holidays and weekends. There are even some world markets that are open nearly 24/7.
So, for example, if markets begin to crash somewhere else in the world on a Friday evening, or on a Saturday - we can then know that something might be on the way here in the U.S. that coming Monday (or the next day that the markets are open if they were closed for some reason on Monday).
There are other events that could take place during the weekends as well, such as what has been brewing the past week with Venezuela and Columbia along with the U.S. (as far as I know) mentioning that we would support Columbia. Even military events such as this could be "the straw that broke the camels back."

you factor in time zones.. for instance, NIKKEI opens in Japan on thier Monday morning, which is our Sunday night.. fluctuations there somewhat alter the DOW open as well.
You only have to look back to the numbers on MLK day here and in Japan to see a correlation.. ;)
It is a global market now.. we have spread our credit black hole to everyone, feeding our inflation to the world. So it's all a big house of cards. Which will be the first to fall doesn't really matter... it still takes the house down.

Ron Paul says what he means
Ron Paul says what he means and means what he says. If Ron Paul was dropping out of the race he would say so and it would be absolutely clear.
In fact, Ron Paul has already stated that he is in this race all the way to the convention.
So, the answer to our question about RP running for President on the Republican ticket will not be answered until September, at the convention.
Ron Paul has also stated that his efforts will continue as long as we continue to support him.
We must continue supporting him with every bit of effort that we can!
The MSM has been telling us that RP had no chance since the beginning. And look, Ron Paul is the last one standing along with John McCain out of 11 or so total candidates. Don't believe the hype!

Delegates can vote to unbind themselves and vote for whomever they wish.
Here's how we win
* We get the names, phone #'s, emails, and physical addresses of each of the 2,380 delegates and 2,230 alternate delegates going to the national convention.
* We make personal contact with each and every one of these people and present to them Dr. Paul's message of freedom, peace, and prosperity.
* Our goal: DELEGATE REVOLT. We want each and every delegate (regardless of to whom they are 'pledged') to vote their conscience in the first round. Forget 'bound' and 'unbound' delegates. We want 2,380 Americans in that convention voting their consciences in the first round.
Remember, Dr. Paul will speak at the Convention. And, we all know how powerful his message is to all, once heard.
If the event is prepped by us, his loyal grassroots supporters, by having personally contacted each and every one of the National delegates in advance, then, Dr. Paul's message at the Convention will be even more powerful.
And, if we continue to grow his support, and do all the things we've been doing, from now until the Convention.
Then, at the Convention, they will vote for him!
After all, there is no force of law 'binding' the delegates. It's an honor system. But, if there have been allegations of vote fraud and other criminal means to secure the pledges of honest delegates, then, honest delegates might only find honor in rejecting such pledges, lest they feel, themselves, like moral accomplices to the alleged crimes.
We need websites set up similar to the highly effective letter writing campaigns and Call 4 Paul grassroots activities we have done. The target of these new activities would be, as mentioned, the delegates to the National Convention.
That is how freedom can prevail at the Convention.

If you are not strong enough to pull this off, then the movement is not ready yet. Are you ready, then rally June 21. I AM READY. Let's Rally. Let's Ride. California is about the furthest away and look what is happening to their homeschooling. That should motivate people to get in their cars and ride. I think people in states where we have already voted could help by continuing to call people and explain things. Those people will spread the word. All you have to say is, are you happy with the way things are going? Then can I talk to you about a solution.
The nonconventional Convention
Please don't give up. I've tried to understand the convention norms by reading as much about them as is put up.This time it shall be different.-
There are undoubtably going to be a whole lotta people who by september/november are going to be really p###ed off and broke. I am sure that word of mouth and RP publicity will awaken folk, in time, that Ron Paul is still capable and able to become elected and supported. I've also been reading, analysing and capturing what is likely to happen between now and then. It's not good for anybody believe me. This is going to get very tough but even the trolls, media propaganderists, miltary industrial human liquidisation manufactureres and their dopey political whores will wake up to Ron Paul and the big lie of past policies. (If only to hope that their own backsides may be saved when the crunch comes). If there is going to be marshall law, which I doubt, the lowely insider traitors will be the first to be picked off because they will know too much and could easily swop sides for therevolution. That's why it is better to support Ron Paul legitimately now rather than later on after the election, when it may be illegal, as far as those present traitors are concerned.
As for ordinary americans who bear no malice but are simply being brainwashed, who support the other candidates in good faith, they too will awaken to the horror of what they are facing in good time. They will be seeking a saviour in the face of so called political 'put-options'. Ron Paul will shine through this coming mess in good time. Please don't give up.

After all, they know what confirming is all about in their business. They heard him say, vote and get delegates and rally on June 21. They heard him say, people keep asking me when I am going to drop out and I tell them, etc., etc. Then they run out and for at least the second time, or has it been more, they say he is out. This after pretending like he does not exist for over a month at least. They are totally still worried about him, so why? Because he could pull an upset on the excuse for a man.

What will happen next?
Has anyone considered what would actually happen if the delegates *did* elect RP as the GOP nominee? How many GOP voters would be furious?
Or what will happen if the RP delegates do, in fact, get the Republican platform back to its historical planks?
What happens if the Republican platform is changed, but McCain is still nominated? What is the platform worth, then? Given the state of our country, are the party platforms worth anything in the first place?
Given all of the posts about delegates being able to totally change the rules at the convention and the fact that the both the GOP national committee and the DNC were able to arbitrarily eliminate state delegates, I am realizing that our entire election process is a joke!
What if a total unknown named "Hitler" is the one that ends up winning the nomination after several voting cycles, a candidate without a single popular vote?

Based on what is occurring in both parties, my prediction is that there will be a major overhaul in the entire election process. However, the "solution" might be even worse-
It seems vote fraud was
the major concern in the early primaries. However, since rp hasn't gained credible support from the gop voters, the current strategy is to nullify their votes (the voice of the gop people) and through delegates win the nomination. This 'ron paul diebold strategy' is why most supporters have left the movement and is reflected in the downturn in donations. We can do better but it will take more than a custer mentality.

Most people I talked to who said they did not vote for Ron Paul was because they did not think he could win. They were more concerned about voting for someone whom they believed had a chance at winning than for someone whom they truly admired.
Frankly, the only FURIOUS GOP's IMHO will be the NEO-Cons if Ron wins. I believe MOSTLY everyone else will be saying THANK GOD! Even those who do not believe in god.

That is the key
understanding how the system works and figuring how to tweak it to our advantage. A good analogy is HR policies at work, they are designed to protect the employer, but the trick is to use their own policies to your advantage. When you play by their rules and you still win, they can not fault you for that. That is why we have lawyers--that is what they do.

Mickey Edwards was on Moyar (sp?) tonight and said that the religious right has come into the Republican party at the grassroots level and have been willing to work inside the Republican party very patiently and that is why they carry so much clout now, but they really only represent 28% to 30%. What concerns me are all the statements about "changing rules at the convention".
How can you "win the game", if someone changes the rules mid-stream?
And is it ethical for Ron Paul's supporters to be the ones *hoping* to do so?
That feels like the "ultimate" in backroom politics, like reality show contestants who win the show, but lose the respect back home, as well as their jobs.
Is that why RP is pushing for the upfront approach of electing Congressional representatives?

But I would guess people were just as shocked when Lincoln won too. When your Freedoms and Personal Liberty are at stake, Furious GOP voters would be the least of my concern.
As for the DNC, this is the 1st time SO many states have had their Primaries and Caucus' on Super Tuesday and Michigan and Florida decided to break the rules to hold theirs before then. The DNC made it clear in the beginning that they would punish them if they did that. If they were that concerned about that, Florida and Michigan should have reconsidered changing the date before their primaries took place. My understanding is the RNC did not strip away their delegates because for them these states were not winner take all or if they were, the delegates were not bound...I am not sure about that though.

The fact that more than half the states decided to hold their elections on Super Tuesday is a disservice to voters. We still have 7 months until the convention; this time was meant to give voters the opportunity to meet all the candidates who visit their states JUST before their elections by spreading the elections of each state over time. But this year made it impossible to do that; unless you started campaigning last year like Mitt and Hilary did which was WAY TO EARLY.
ALL VOTERS SHOULD BE FURIOUS OVER THAT---BEING CHEATED THAT OPPORTUNITY. We should be more concerned about what is best for our country and our family's future, NOT Egos.

Who made "the rules" about what states could have voting when? Who gave the DNC that authority over the voters in Florida and Michigan? How do we vote *them* out?

The reason states wanted to go early was because those early states historically have pretty much *determined* the candidate for each party.
How many GOP people will vote in the remaining (9?) states, now that McCain has already "won"? Usually, that has been determined in the very first states for both parties.
If Super Tuesday is too early, then *it* should be postponed vs. allowing some states to have way too much impact over the voters who happen to live in "later" states.
Why should I even *care* what Iowa, of all states, thinks? Worse, why should that state possibly determine whether there's any point in my voting for President in my state, like those who have continued to vote for Romney, Giuiliani, and Thompson?
Why don't all states vote in the same time period? Oops, that would be federal overriding state unconsitutionally?

of the money spent by the campaigns. I mean look at NH compared to Texas. Now McCaign doesn't have to spend a dime really. Speaking of McCain, do you think he went to Europe because he is ill? I do.
