Their rules
Dear Ron Paul,
I believe that the time has come to start to play fair. By that, I don't mean moral or honorable, but play by their rules. I truly hope you are not giving up on the presidential bid. While I do want The Revolution to continue, I also can't convey how much I want you to be the one to lead us through it. I won't go into all the reasons because I fully agree with every one posted on these forums. However, I don't believe we have time to amass another battle in four years or even two. Times are changing way too fast for that. To get straight to the heart of the matter, it's time for some straight talk... NON-McCain style.
We have been forced by ethics and morals to play fair and by the rules in this race so far. We have done so and lost on every front that we believed we had first place in. We have only received limited and tainted recognition for all our efforts. For that, I am furious. When considering this in the context of our nation's original revolution, I feel like we're giving up too easily. They tried everything they could but in the end, they had to use force. I'm nearing that sentiment, but I cannot see any gain because of the odds. I believe the time has come to organize other means of forcing our message out into the spotlight. Earlier today, I read about the union dock workers plan to strike and shut down the west coast dock in May if we're not out of the middle east by then. That struck a chord with me and gave me an idea. If those guys can get any action or even lots of media attention, why can't other groups organize similar protests. Let's give people an idea of how passionate we are. I'm not asking you to officially support any of these ideas, but I think June 1 could be a good day for truckers to stay home, read the constitution and enjoy a nice warm day.
I would also thoroughly enjoy seeing the media's reaction and legal pundits argue your campaign status if you were to publicly accuse them of reporting false statements. I'm sure we can come up with a few. To make headlines, I would attribute all the future economic costs to them due to their undue influence.
These conclusions are based on a study I did a while back which outlined over history that new media has the advantage over old because it hasn't been taken over yet. They successfully made the case that the only true changes in the world's collective societies happened after the people found a way to freely communicate as we have now with the internet. The best example was when cheap printing became possible and flyers were able to be distributed cheap enough for the average guy to get his message out. They also identified how all those comunication paths were systematically controlled later and the masses' voice was effectively stilled. We are seeing this begin to happen now on the internet but we still have a window. I don't believe that the next elections will be anywhere near as grass roots friendly as this one has been.
In closing, I would like to see the gloves come off. I still care about ethics but if they want to make the rules so one sided, then those are the only rules that must be followed. I personally wouldn't consider it mud-slinging if you were to clarify how horrible every other candidates' plans are in detail.
Please help save our liberties. Please?

We are a regulated society. Gov doesn't want us free just.....
think we are.
If we are a country ruled by laws we are civilized.
When the government does follow laws we are in a tyranny.
The basis of all law here is the constitution.
Much law is based on the basic law or British common law determined at Runnymede
http://www.infobritain.co...
This allowed freemen to have some rights before the government, graze their animals on common land (all land belonged to someone just not you) and a right to trial not on the whim of their owner but by a trial of their peers.
Of course the reason it was granted was the barons seized London and King John needed the barons to fight a war against France. King Richard was busy trying to kick Muslin ass in the middle east. Sound familiar?
Richard and the crusade failed.
King John was his brother and King only while Richard was away managed to lose the crown treasure while crossing a river and so had no money to bribe any barons. The whole story resulted in the story of Robin Hood! While John tried to raise money for the war the people were oppressed, the hero Robin stole the money back and gave it back.
Sounds a bit like Ron Paul.

Watch and feel the power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with your logic
I won't be upset with Dr. Paul if he can't find it in him to lash out at the other candidates -- because the MSM won't attack us, but they'll sure as hell go after him. But I completely agree with your post. I also believe time is very short. I'm not sure there will be much opportunity in 2012.

Great post!
Thank you! I am pumped for the long haul!
Put more of @!@!@THIS@!@!@ in your title...
Great points though, seriously. Reminds me of Galt's Gulch. It's going to take a massive campaign outside of the RP movement to pull it off though. Getting the anti-war left involved would be a good place to start.

I like it,
you make a good case.
