My Quest For TRUTH!!!
If you can find the time, please help me find the TRUTH about our WORLD. I would respectfully ask you to express HARD FACTS AND NOT BELIEFS. I wholeheartedly thank you as another FLESH AND BLOOD HUMAN for any honest interest you inject. I posted a question on the [http://www.ronpaulwarroom.com/] site that honestly asked, [I’m trying to learn. Why do the Israeli people and Palestinian people dislike one another?]
I got a reply that I'm greatfull for, you can see if you look at the comments section of my question or follow this link, I'm sorry you'll have to cut and paste as the HTML code in the link when copied appears here as normal text. http://video.google.com/v...

Liberty!
The popular theory is that differences in religion sparks the unrest, but as in Northern Ireland the real reason for the unrest is injustice. In the United States we have a Constitution that announces equal liberty and justice for all. All citizens have a right to vote, a right of access to the government and a right to their life, liberty and property. In Ireland and in Israel some people have more rights then others without redress. Government sponsored injustice triggers basic human outrage. Unless they fix the politics, their will never be peace.
Interesting?
Its been awhile that I've felt and so far, continue to feel more. That not only religion but religion and politics sparks the unrest. The two are very much, one in the same. Be it intentional or by accident. Kinda like when Ron Paul suggests, we can not discuss monetary policy without including foreign policy. With all due respect to the concerned, I am looking to see if the supposed theory of many with regard to the intent of the war on terror campaign to impose fear as many say false flag(s). is supported? I tend to believe the notion, more then less.
And in relation to the Afformentioned, is it possible that back in the day, and I mean Baaaaaaaaaack in the day! Was religion instituted for a similar purpose? As well, I believe there are many others besides Ireland and Israel as you mention who are as well, witness to these injustices you speak of. Thank U 4 your input and time.
You say differences in religion "sparks" unrest. Hmmmm, I see differences in politics tend to do the same??? Interesting

Fundamentals
You're embarking on quite an adventure! After many years of research I would say that the most fundamental issues have been best described by Ed Griffin. A good place to start is:
http://video.google.com/v...
His research is incredibly thorough and level-headed.
Do ya mean G. Edward Griffin? I think ya do...
I have one of his great books (The Creature from Jekyll Island). Oh, he is goooood!! Thanks 4 your time.

humans are mammals
Fortune Favors the Bold
in short, humans have a herd, or tribal mentality. Similar to societal organization of the great apes, our instincts have evolved to tell us to recognize the survival and resource access of our group as being in line with the survival of our own genes.
People who are somewhat outside the ground level can see human behavior on a more macroscopic level. Since money is simply a complex form of symbol manipulation (like training a rat to pull a lever to get a piece of cheese, then making him run a maze by going from one lever to the next), the people who can see the forest for the trees because of their superior vantage point understand how human behavior works and how to use it to their own benefit. They are human too, and also follow their instincts, seeking dominance.
The good thing about humans is we are a unique species, in that our frontal lobes can over ride our more base instinctual behaviors, and realize that instincts that might have made sense when we were in a jungle fighting off tigers and such are not actually the best ways to base actions when our society and culture has evolved beyond that primitve survivial mode. In fact, the higher aspects of human experience, love, hope, discovery, understanding, are also unique to the complexity of human consciousness.
Of course, it is very, very difficult to get most people to see past their tribal instincts, especially since their are competing information sets, or world views, whose adoption usually comes down to herd following behaviors, reinforced positively by social reward, and negatively by social shunning and even direct consequence.
Of course the problem is, people tend to look at only at short term benefit/cost analysis. Again, this makes sense from an evolutionary point of view, there isn't much point in thinking long term when a tiger is about to eat you. But humanity would be better off if they choose to not use violence, because the long term subjective experience of the world would be infintely better. People have alot of defense mechanisms for maintaing their world view, and only from an internal desire to seek truth can the better half of our nature be acheived.
Wow! your cool...
I'm with ya!

"If you can find the time,
"If you can find the time, please help me find the TRUTH about our WORLD. I would respectfully ask you to express HARD FACTS AND NOT BELIEFS."
I embarked on my journey of understanding in early January. My goal was not to learn anything about the "truth" of our world, I just had a few questions about why certain things were the way they were. What led me towards my questions and ultimately looking for answers was based partly on what Ron Paul was saying (as seen in many videos on YouTube) as well as what a few others were saying. Specifically, here are two videos that played a big part in starting my "quest" for knowledge:
35 minute video of speech by Judge Andrew Napolitano
http://www.reason.tv/vide...
Two 10 minute interviews of the comptroller general
http://www.youtube.com/wa...
http://www.youtube.com/wa...
These videos along with things I have learned from Ron Paul really had me questioning why things were the way they were.
The cold hard facts you are looking for are easily seen. What is not easy to see is that all these many facts are only small pieces of a huge puzzle. There are so many pieces of this huge puzzle that it is very difficult to even see which pieces connect to others.
There is no easy answer for the knowledge you seek.
What might help you in your quest for the truth is to really think about what motivates people (specifically political leaders and other world decision makers) and why they do the things they do (much of which does not make sense for "good" people to be doing).
There is obviously some fact that has you questioning things already. Take that fact and start your analysis there. Then see where that leads you.
Thanks
for the links.
I'd like to download 'em, I'll search for a downloadable copy of the first one, YouTube I can do. The first one, The Judge!
...............................................................................
Update: ok, I found a way...Using Firefox with the DownloadHelper plugin.
Thank you Sooo much.
Being in the Paul camp I've seen the youtubes, but not the judge one. Come on, that was OUTSTANDING!!! Though I believe the judge, Wow that was great. I understand I can confirm his points to confirm the facts. But ya know what, so far it is only confirming what I have allways thought! So as I become learnered like the fine Dr. with the help of my Brothers and Sisters here, the picture becomes clearer. Thanks again

Check out a book called
A Peace to End All Peace, by David Fromkin. It goes into detail about the collapse of the Ottoman Empire after WWI, and the subsequent British occupation of the area known as Palestine. Pay particular attention to the parts of the book about the Balfour declaration, and the creation of Israel after WWII.
What most people don't realize is that Jews native to the Middle East (referred to as Sephardic Jews) and Arabs, lived in peace in Palestine for centuries under Ottoman rule. The problems started after WWII, when the Ashkenazi Jews from Europe, mostly holocaust survivors, settled in the region. The native Arabs viewed this as another European crusade.
Another thing most people don't understand, is that zionism--the belief in a state for the Jews--is a political, not a religious movement. The world Jewish population is extremely diverse. I have met many Jews who do not support the state of Israel, I have met some who do. When the former supreme court justice, Louis Brandais, adopted a zionist view, it allowed for the movement to become popular in political circles in the United States at the time. I suggest further reading into Brandais' life to learn how the zionist movement gained momentum in the United States.
See! Now I'm learning things and it feels good...
All these groups, names, tribes and lands. By viewing this [http://oldsecretsandlies.blogspot.com/2008/03/history-of-khazarszionism.html/] The names you speak of are recognized. Though when I read that blogs info and its relation to yours its simular in id's Re: Khazars and zionism. Though the other one's format is not plain text that I'm used to I believe I understand the MSG.

KHAZARS; AND THE INVALIDITY OF THE TERM 'ANTI-SEMITISM'
By Rex Weeks
This was interesting and thank you for your input as well, there is so much to learn.
The quest for truth.
There is one thing I have learned since I began trying to wake people up about what is happening in our world. I can make nearly anyone agree with me through debate. They can even leave the conversation agreeing with me completely. To my surprise only a few weeks later, I found out that they had completely flip flopped back to their mainstream beliefs. This is because many people do not read anymore (except newspapers and maybe novels). They get all of their information from the news and from talking to people. This will cause someone to flip flop like a fish on all the issues. They have no core understanding of our history and are lacking the facts to make an informed decision. They don't research to verify or disprove anything I said. They just go on to the next person and say "Oh that sounds believable, I'll change my mind"
Look at the debate on this board about 9-11. Even though most of our central beliefs are aligned, the opinions vary greatly about this event. You can't just pick the one that sound the best and then parrot what is said. You must, through research, come to your own conclusion.
I would suggest starting with some basic documents such as the Constitution, Bill of Rights, Federalist Papers, Anti-Federalist papers etc.
Then you might even read some of Ron Paul's books. But more than likely you will after reading the above documents branch off automatically from there and begin researching what doesn't add up in todays events.
Like the previous poster had said, you can't get to the truth by talking to people. Talking to people helps exchange and expand ideas. It will not get you any closer to the truth unless you research what was discussed.
I congratulate you on your search for the truth. The vast majority of people do not do this(inc. phd's and college grads). Best wishes.
I sincerely thank you and everyone elses input, Thank you.
You folks are confirming what I've felt. Now that my TV is unplugged I have today started to gather, as requested "HARD FACTS". I hear and feel and agree with what you have stated [hogstoppers], as well as many other generous people here who has freely given thier time in responce. I look forward to the physical research, After all it is me to decide even though I maybe right, I maybe wrong. And I do think I understand your remark towards the end that say Re: Like the previous poster had said, you can't get to the truth by talking to people. Talking to people helps exchange and expand ideas. It will not get you any closer to the truth unless you research what was discussed. ???
I'm currently viewing this snapshot though not in plain english, I find it interesting Re: http://www.oldsecretsandl...
Once again, thank you everyone...

Part of the reason..not in full
Palestinians hate Israel because they think that the land of Israel belongs to them. I guess they use to own it or, at the least, some other Muslim people occupied it.
And, after World War 2 or close to it (I'm guessin for now) many of the scattered "Tribes" of Israel retuned to their homeland from the multitude of places throughout the world in which they lived.
And in 1953 Israel became a State! Which of course infuriates the Muslim nations and they are vowed to displace them out of what they consider to be "their land". Many of the Muslim nations refuse to recognize that Israel is a State or Country and or Nation if you will.

The Land
The land that Israel occupies was once part of Palestine. After World War II the United States and their allies took the land and declared that now it belonged to Israel. I'm sure the Palestinians feel the way we would if another country decided that Texas now belonged exclusively to the Mexicans and was a sovereign nation. Would you recognize Texas then as a legitimate state or country?
Yeah Well
So the Allies pulled some property out of a hat?
I think?
Though I must re-read, when a label, ID or group AKA "Jews" is unjustly encompassed as one, in an action it is accused of such a broad brush should not be used? It has facts pre-dateing the land grab. Before I review the material, I thought I learned of a sect, clan, group or division of the afformentioned, that lets say morphed into a certain Jewish division for many reasons? But I mean, this dates back "Big Time!!" 4 now, thank you for your help...

Truth is something you have to find out for yourself!
The truth is that each of us only has a snapshot of what truely goes on in the world. I suggest you look around you, talk to people, exchange ideas and come to your own conclusions. Just don't accept everything you are told from the media, since propaganda is the tool to control fools.
Thank you for your input though I do not understand it?
Talk to people? With regards to your reply all I can do is say thank you.
Remember the past as you look forward to today...
The only thing I did not understand was.
You stated > ***"Truth is something you have to find out for yourself!"***
On March 8th, 2008 iehuvihs says:

Once again, I thank you for your time.

I think I understand it.
I think I understand it. Human interaction is what he's talking about. Try to get more infor than is being spoon fed to us by the media.
I've seen CNN say Doc has dropped out. FACT.
Doc said he's in it for the long haul as long as he has support. FACT.
I've seen MSNBC today say he might drop out. FACT.
Doc said he's in it for the long haul as long as he has support. FACT. Although in my OPINION (don't beat me up too bad here folks...)I thought the video was rather stilted, scripted and poorly executed. I liked the last one where he was sitting at his desk in the office. It seemed to be less rehersed.
I haven't watched any other news because I'm not sure of everything they say. FACT.
Doc said he's in it for the long haul as long as he has support. FACT.
I'm inclined to believe that Doc said he's in it for the long haul as long as he has support. MY TRUTH.
I agree about the
I agree about the MSM.
Someone searching for true knowledge should probably, initially, turn off their televisions for a while.
Once someone has a reasonably firm grasp on what is really going on, then they could probably go back to television while being able to tell the difference between what is real and what is propaganda.
Oh, He's Still In It Baby!!!!
From what "I" know right now, you are correct!!! I don't know how much cash he's gonna need to make the trip, I keep giving and I've not done an audit on my donations but I'm getting close to maxing out. I've heard that anything over the allowed limit must be given to the GOP? Right now, I don't wanna give them anything. Oh yeh, He's still with us! I hope he gets what he needs to do his thing. I've got the MSG, we've got the MSG. I feel better because of him.... "ONWARD!"
