Hello all! Just wanted to let you know of a few things that happened today. We had our County elections for the Republican party today and it was a Ron Paul sweep. Of course only 10-12 people showed up but EVERY ONE of them were supporters who I have met through the past several months. So basically we've maxed on our delegates and taken over the local party!
My wife and I now represent our county as State Committeman and Committewoman, and fellow supporters have taken the positions of Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary, District Committeman and Woman, and maybe even a few I forgot. :O)
Honestly we were a little worried about the whole process but when we went to the meeting there was absolutely no one there. Not even the current Chairman! We ended up going to his house and getting the paperwork for the meeting and holding it somewhere else where we had free reign.
This is called apathy, and our country stinks of it. And I honestly believe that this is why our country is in its current state, and we need to change it.
People I agree that this is just the beginning of the Revolution. No matter what Ron Paul decides or the American people decide this go round, we are working for the future. Can you imagine how differently things would be going if we had 4 years of preparation? I'm like 80% of you and heard of Ron Paul within the last 7 months or so, and I believe the headway and changes that are already evident is astounding and exciting. I'm looking forward to working with my new Friends in Liberty to change our future from the inside, and I hope that everyone will join us.
Don't let your spirits get down, and always keep your head held high. Ron Paul is right when he says that a Revolution doesn't come and go within a year. It's a fight, and now that we are starting to understand how we can take back our country peacibly, we need to get on it.

DR. RON PAUL MAY WELL COME TO OREGON
Just got an e-mail from our Oregon leaders saying "the good news is that Dr. Paul and his son Rand Paul may be able to visit us here in Oregon before our May 20th Primary". It is really difficult to find a Conservative here who likes McCain -- we wear our buttons everywhere we go and they talk to us. We are out of big signs (looks like my 199 one was the last they had) and we are in the poorest county, so any donations of signs and other RP stuff would be so appreciated. RonPaul2008

We're also going to work up a handout on "why support RP now?" focusing in on the "McCain's already won" perception. I'm leaning toward doing that via conf. call; if you want to be in on that just say so in your email.

Good news indeed
thank you for sharing. With the issue that the media (falsely) reported that Paul has dropped out of the race and McCain thinking he has all wrapped up, he will not campaign for the GOP nomination anymore/or much (heard he is going to take an overseas tour for a few weeks to Europe and Iraq) this could well lead many GOP's that McCain has already won and no need to vote or attend. As long as ALL the Ron Paul supporters are highly motivated etc, Paul could possibly get the majority of delegates in Pennsylvania and the others states
and surprise McCain and thus get much more additional delegates. We should also work on getting most of Romney, Huckabee's Thompson's and Giuliani's delegates as well as some of McCain. I read before there may be some stealth RP delegates amonng them, but can target also the true small govt. conservatives that vote for the others, the anyone but McCain ones, as well as the anti-war McCain delegates! It may just be possible that this combination could ensure Paul the majority. What we need at minimum is a failing of McCain to receive 51% with the first round of voting at RNC, and then many McCain delegates that voted for him simply as they thought he was leading, will reconsider easily...

and thanks for the forum. Out playing pool last night with our RP buttons on and at least 4 new people coming to our meet up. In our tiny town, they are starved for information. They almost lose their breath when we tell them Ron Paul is still in it and then our 4'x8' sign just went up yesterday in a very key location. Maybe it's time for us to advertise our Meet up group meeting times and places locally. The excitement is growing. The people that approached us last night are despaired over McCain and are scared of Yomma and Momma. All the best to you.
