Rolling Stone Magazine has posted a long "report from the field" about the Surge in Iraq. The author says it's not working. It's pretty depressing stuff. You need to read it so you can push back against McCain's "just a little longer" nonsense. Here's the link:

CNN just talked about us paying both sides to lay off fighting. They asked the question "what happens when the money dries up". I'm betting the Iraq violence comes back. It won't matter if it's next year or in 5 years. Except that the sooner we stop paying the more money we will have.

Amazing how mistaken the military is? Just like the NPR woman said on Bill Mar. If we leave now there will be a civil war. If we leave in 5 years there will probably be a civil war but they will have more of our money and guns to fight it with.

Think for a minute, all was calm during the campaign so it would be a non issue for Dr. Paul. They think now is a good time to crank up the war so the Democrats will look soft on war compared to McCain. By the way I hear rumblings that McCain would choose Romney as his VP. What do you think?
