How Ron Paul Is Going to Win: or the Dark Road to Victory from the Alamo to San Jacinto

On March 6, 1836, the Alamo fell to Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna, the leading villain in Texas history. It was the darkest days of the Texas Revolution. General Sam Houston retreated, waited and was heavily criticized. However, Houston was a great general and knew that whoever won the last battle would win the war. He had faith and patience although many doubted his wisdom. He knew what both Wellington and Alexander the Great knew: a smaller well organized and motivated force with a superior plan can defeat a larger army if the general chooses the best field of battle to ensure their advantage. Weeks later on April 21, 1836, at San Jacinto, General Houston led his army into battle and defeated the arrogant Santa Anna in about 20 minutes. Houston waited for the right place, time and advantage because he knew that Santa Anna would make a mistake due to his vanity and overconfidence.

We are now in the darkest days of our Revolution and many are bickering and questioning our general, Ron Paul, who always fights nonviolently because he knows that we will need the other candidates' delegates as well. Be patient and they will join us. Like Sam Houston, Ron Paul is keeping our powder dry and letting time increase our numbers. There are more of us everyday because the truth is on our side and we march for freedom and liberty. There will be a time and place for us to do battle, and to win! The key is to have faith in the spirit of our Revolution and leader, Ron Paul, who knows exactly what he is doing! However, these are indeed the times that try men's (and women's) souls. I for one will follow Ron Paul through these times and continue to pray for the faith of our founding fathers and mothers because Ron Paul is the greatest Texan since Sam Houston. I hope you will stand firm with us, continue the strategy and wait until the time is right. Ron Paul knows we have one solid battle in us. And he also knows, like Houston, that whoever wins that last battle, will win the war. Stand firm, stay the course, keep the faith, work and wait. The time is not right yet, but it is coming. Make ready, recruit and prepare for the battle.

I have faith we will win if we just let Ron Paul work his strategy. Remember these dark days when we walk into the light of victory. History always provides great leaders like Sam Houston and Ron Paul when they are needed the most. Remain faithful and wait for God to provide exactly the right time and place for His victory. And let us never forget this road from the Alamo to San Jacinto!

Consider how RP has managed his finances threwout the campaign. Never ran a deficit, never spent money he didn't have, a truely fiscally conservative campaign. Although some may bitch and whine about how the campaign has gone up to now. I have great respect for the way he's played the game. Campaign financing is one of the things other candidates have been attacked for.

Recall the Romney race. He was always spending money against what he thought he would bring in, in donations. Mostly because he had the money in the bank and could cover the loan. But that's just it. It shows you just what his administration would have been like. Spend first, worry later.

There is an old saying.- "How a man does one thing is how a man does everything."

Now lets examine the Iraq war and Bush policy. To fight terror we need to occupy Iraq... I almost don't know how to respond to this assertion it's so laughable. But stay-the-coursers buy into this crap. It's amazing the kind of response you get back if you ask them if they had ever considered an alternative method to fighting terrorist without occupying a country that doesn't want us. Mostly alot of blubbering in an attempt to cover up the fact hat they don't really know what's going on in Iraq or what the unitended consequenses are.

IMO leading up to the convention RP should handle the convention the same way he would have handled Iraq and GWoT had he been president for the last 8 years. With principled conservatism. Being able to draw a parallel between his foreign policy and the way he has delt with the Neo-cons and the GOP would IMO make a huge statement.

Of course the other side of that coin is making sure RP speaks at the convention and that we have an overwhelming presense in St.Paul. Now I realize there has been some debate about this St.Paul vs DC thing but I have just decided it's not worth debate. Both need to happen and i'm almost certain that more major events need to take place aswell, all over the country. I would love to see a major event in every region on the country.

Starting April 15 with the nation wide strike. Then The Great American Paulpalooza Music Festival & Book Signing Tour 08. In the midst of all that there's the march on DC. Devvy's saying it'll just be alot of tourists, but I see this also as an opportunity to reach out to millions of potential supporters in one of the most symbolic places in the country for this type of cause. These tourist are touring DC for a reason although they might not realize that until it's too late. For thoughs of you traveling to the various venues I encourage you to engage on political discussion with anyone you can on the way.

In another post someone had mentioned there was going to be an NAU meeting in New Orleans April 21-22. That would be a wonderful time to schedule an event in that area and it's only a few days after the Tax strike. There are a few more months in there that would need to be filled and the entire operation would be at the grassroots level so it would take a major consorted effort.

Learn and teach the constitution. Know it better than you know anything.

On a more personal level I have and each of us should try to get involved in your local government. I myself have registered as a citizen counsilor for the county auditor. If you run for a local office even better. I wish you well and the best of luck.

I applied to be the PCO of my pricinct. It's a little late to be of imediate use, but perhaps in due time it can be of use. This is very important because if you don't hold it someone else can.

Write your reps... Petition... Some might say petitioning is pointless and they may be right. I'm not totally certain, however until something better becomes available it's what we have.

Register and donate to The John Birch Society http://www.jbs.org/#Slide... , sign their petitions. It's fast and easy and once you sign one the site auto fills other petitions.

That it was completely made up by the government?

He has thought about strategies since the 60's and he now has working formula, I think. We can learn a lot from him and avoid making the same mistakes that many people make.

to educate them.They all know about some stuff but don't get how far down the rabbit hole goes.

There may be some things we can do to effect the short term prospects for RP. I like the Coast to Coast idea. If we knew who the delegates were at the National Convention we could give them information could show that RP's position is way better than "endless war" McCain. I'll let those who can work on that. Meanwhile we can take control of the Republican party from the bottom up. There are lots of opportunities to push for limited government, low taxes, etc in your county and state. I and a few RP people have "won" a position on our local Republican Central Committee. So for the next two years we will have a voice against new bond issues and local ordinances that take away our freedom. We can also get platform issues discussed at the state level. Like I say I'm in for the long term. If RP wins in the fall that's great. If not then I can look forward to the future. It took 100 years to get where we are now. If might take a few years to take our lives back from the Socialists.

Would it be legal for Ron Paul supporters to hand out literature to people leaving churches on Sundays if they stayed on a public sidewalk? I have found in handing out literature for another cause that if you offer a brochure to people with a smile that they most often will accept it.

It gives you time to talk with an individual face to face and educate them on the issues they care about! Believe me, this works!

We need to double our efforts in the remaining states. Not as many people will vote now that they think McCain has won... but be assured, a lot of McCain supporters will vote just in case. Meanwhile, McCain has left the country to meet with leaders in Europe and the Middle East. This means he won't be able campaign here, which gives us an excellent opportunity to grab the remaining delegates.

Sign waving DOES NOT work. So get out and canvas.

Great ideas...

1. I like the idea of passing out A:FTF dvds, however, I wonder if it would be possible at discount/dollar theaters to show the movie. I would think that if we can convince theater owners that people will show up and they can make money, then it would be a win-win... especially among people that are already watching their budget closely. If we can get captive audience, then we could pass out other information, like other videos they can watch online.

2. I think that getting a series of short, professional online videos that introduce the concepts in an accessible manner is a great idea. There are great videos out there, but a lot of them are too long.

We had something POSITIVE to give the kids at the mall?
Not AFF. That is one of the most depressing documentaries ever.
Kids don't need more negativity. They need ideals.
