I got the message below from a friend but I'm not sure it's for real. Ron Paul is a member of Congress and I would like to think he would blow the whistle on anything like this and refuse to keep it a secret. Does anyone have any information on this? Thanks

LAST NIGHTS SESSION WAS ONLY THE FOURTH TIME IN 176 YEARS THAT CONGRESS CLOSED ITS DOORS TO THE PUBLIC
Word has begun leaking from last nights special, closed-door session of the United States House of Representatives.
Not only did members discuss new surveillance provisions as was the publicly stated reason for the closed door session, they also discussed:
the imminent collapse of the U.S. economy to occur by September 2008,
the imminent collapse of US federal government finances by February 2009,
the possibility of Civil War inside the USA as a result of the collapse,
advance round-ups of "insurgent U.S. citizens" likely to move against the government,
The detention of those rounded-up at "REX 84" camps constructed throughout the USA,
the possibility of retaliation against members of Congress for the collapses,
the location of "safe facilities" for members of Congress and their families to reside during expected massive civil unrest
the necessary and unavoidable merger of the United States with Canada (for its natural resources) and with Mexico (for its cheap labor pool),
the issuance of a new currency - THE AMERO - for all three nations as the proposed solution to the coming economic armageddon.
Members of Congress were FORBIDDEN to reveal what was discussed. Several are so furious and concerned about the future of the contry, they have begun leaking info. More details coming later today and over the weekend. SPREAD THE WORD!!!

I emailed Hal and he replied....
Jerk or not, I emailed Hal and asked him about his report. I was surprised to get an answer so quickly.
Here is his reply:
"Members of Congress are STATUTORILY FORBIDDEN to reveal what goes on in
closed session. Any member who breaches that is subject to expulsion
from the House.
His integrity would prevent Ron Paul from breaching that.
Suffice it to say that the information is valid. I confirmed it with
two separate sources. I stand by my report."
So, I guess time will tell if his sources are credible.

I saw this quote you posted yesterday and was asking if anyone had ever heard of him, because I had not. I wanted to know if he had any credibility, because the message was pretty shocking, but of course anything is possible now. I do not know if this actually was what the meeting was about, but I am not buying into it was about the FISA bill. Why wasn't there a closed session about the Iraq war, or the patriot act, or our current economy collapse, or any number of things that could be serious enough to be a closed session and yet FISA is top secret,why!! I am added to this post to clarify that I am not saying you posted this yesterday, but that I saw this information on another web site and I was asking here if anyone knew anything about Hal Turner, someone replied that he was a racist lyer.

I got some help to trace back this report and it appears to have originated with some guy by the name of Hal Turner who hosts a show called the Hal Turner Show (www.halturnershow.com)
I never heard of the guy and don't know how credible his sources are, but it was suggested that I ask him for his source. If he is close to the alleged person leaking this information then I doubt he would reveal where it came from. Still I find the whole thing suspicious because like I said before, I think Dr Paul would let us know about this if any of it were true. Keep your eyes and ears open.

on CNBC, they flashed that Congress had voted against Bushes FISA plan to protect helping companies that spy on Americans.
They voted in the alternative edition, which exposes the companies.
Your news is much more drastic.

Yah but Ron Paul & Kucinich voted No
and all republicans voted no. I think congress tricked us by Democrats voting Yes to pass the bad bill. They don't care about the corporation, what they don't want is exposing criminal act committed by executive branch by law suit. Devils are always in the detail.

However, in the light of everything, these things appear logical and not far off base.
People are already upset over loss of freedoms and those in power did not expect us to find out of our demise BEFORE it hit our door step.
A friend told me (no sources sighted) that the govt has been using drug $ to build the underground cities including a train that can go coast to coast in 1.5 hrs. We know from other countries that trains like this do exist.
They were probably using illegal labor too and why they don't want to deport their families.
