Sw Missouri Results Ron Paul Takes Greene County, MO UPDATE!!

No, this is just clear proof that we are the most dedicated supporters of any candidate/group of ideas. We may not have the numbers but we are smart and can hopefully get a foothold in taking back the republican party from behind the scenes.

I am so happy your state has done well but some things to bring up that are important

1: It is important to show up for every meeting and every vote

2: Obtain a copy of your bylaws and learn them as gospel

3: The same things you resolve can also be resolved by the same people you resovled them on so you must stay involved to make sure they can not take back all you have worked for.

Looks like we done a pretty darn good job in MO. I hope the other states can follow thought. How will Jackson County, MO handle the situation with all the books being taken?
Remember people this is a Revolution, we need to keep it going even after RP. Start rebuilding the Rep. Party back to its conservative roots. Get conservative candidates to fill local, state, and Federal positions. This revolution can’t stop now, we just getting warmed up to bring the government back to the control of “we the people”.

I feel the same way that I felt when I discovered Dr Paul....Hope for our future....we can do it!

5 out of seven allowed..with two of the other three clearly for a no vote on mcinsane. Only one mcinsane Delegate and I sent him home with all the information I had on insane plus Dr. Paul. He seemed open minded and I think will convert as well!!!

A one delegate majority for the bad guys can ruin a whole parade.

But doesn't it make you wonder abit that ron pauls real popularity is showing now that mccains not worried about it ? I wonder how much popularity Ron Paul actually had throughout this whole process. 100 % in all states aside from the lies and fraud ?

Trench warfare has begun and doc has racked some counties!

I was at the Jackson County, MO Caucus today (Kansas City - second largest metro area). We got a full slate (180) of Ron Paul Republican Delegates elected to both the District and State Conventions! We also passed 3 Resolutions: 1)No REAL ID (awesome!) 2) NO Animal Registration ID (city-folk will have to ask ranchers about this one) 3) We resolved to change the state GOP rule, not law, that binds National Delegates from Missouri to McCain. We also amended the State GOP Platform with 14 changes to include: getting rid of Dept. of Education control of Missouri schools, resisting the NAU and SPP, and a statement that the Republican Party believes the US can only go to war with a Declaration from Congress. Now, these are only county amendments put forward to the State Convention, but hey, it's a baby step!

We had around a 65-70% majority of members at the caucus. Many of the "old guard" left in disgust after they realized we were in control, even though we didn't even try to unseat the Chair of twenty some years as we were trying to make friends with whomever we could.

Missouri is looking pretty good so far.

These success stories are so inspiring!

How will the national delegates have to vote. What ballot and all that. Or are you guys fighting for the actual delegates and they will be his at the convention.

Ron Paul took the 4 most populated counties in the state.

Today was the St. Louis city caucus. I caucused with the fine folks from the 1st and 3rd congressional district living in the city of St. Louis. The primaries have already decided who would be the nominee for the state of Missouri — John McCain. However, the Ron Paul supporters were out en masse today supporting the ideals of the traditional small-government Republican party that Dr. Paul has been championing since day 1.

I wish I had taken a camera, or my laptop to liveblog this account. It was a spectacle, to say the least.

I arrived at the Machecek Library at 9:00 - one full hour before the caucus began. Parking next to the minivan plastered with Ron Paul bumper stickers and magnets, I met Tyson Lauby, who has been instrumental in rallying the Ron Paul supporters for the city.

Now, let me set the scene a bit more for you. Tyson is not your typical politician-looking guy. Sporting a mohawk and Social Distortion hoodie, he is the kind of guy you would expect to see, honestly, and stereotypically, at a Democrat caucus. To see this guy rallying hordes of support for Dr. Paul must have been a very nerve-wracking experience for the rest of the attendees.

When the doors opened at 9:00, we proceeded into the library, and registered for the caucus. I met several very nice folks, and we talked a little about the procedures of the caucus, and just general getting-to-know-you discussion. At about 9:45, this older gentleman with a John McCain button sits down next to me. Being the nice guy I am, I introduced myself, and made some small talk.

Then he asked me who I was supporting.

“I’m a Ron Paul supporter,” I replied.

He just laughed and sat back in his chair.

The meeting started 10 minutes late for some unknown reason. The first item on the agenda was the election of a new chairman for the caucus. Two people were nominated. One by the Paul supporters, and one by, well, the other folks. We had such huge numbers, that our guy was elected to be caucus chair by a vote of somewhere around 45-35. That’s 45 Ron Paul supporters that showed up.

Then it was time to elect a new secretary. The old chairwoman was nominated for this position, in addition to Mr. Lauby. Imagine the surprise when Tyson won the election. Mohawk sporting, Social Distortion hoodie wearing Tyson. The McCain supporter next to me chose this moment to speak to me again.

Hope one of the Resolutions is to "Vote" out Jared Craighead, the Missouri Executive Director of the Republician Party who has been lying to y'all about the Rules and on how the Delegate can vote.

From derby (ronpaulforums) - So to summarize we got 252 delegates out of 274 possible. The only reason they got any is because they basically acknowledged we had the majority and they realized that the only way they would be going to the Conventions is if they kissed my ass (I was head of rules committee and I had no idea what I was doing lol) I said if we had any empty slots on our slate they could fill them. Well, after the recess we filled all of our slots. So then this one guy starts whining and saying we're all Republicans and Christians (I'm an atheist) and we should work together blah blah. Then he tried to be sneaky and say the motion he was passing would only fill in the blanks when the actual verbage of his motion would've allowed those in attendance to have preference over anyone on our delegate list that wasn't there. We caugh him red handed and then he had to change. Well, I motioned to concede 10 spots on our slate for them, because I'm nice, but he didn't like that, he wanted 13. He threw his voter card thing at the chair and stormed out leaving his hat behind!

We got 7/7 delegates and 7/7 alternates here, and we passed ALL of the proposed resolutions and amendments that we wanted. We outnumbered the "other guys" by almost 5:1 and most of them left early.

but the staunch reps. were too stressed about "losing their power, about making any changes" and they had a majority and ran over us. We kept standing our ground but were only able to get 2 delegates with maybe a few that are possible to be alternates.

it's sad, because they looked at us as "the enemy" trying to TAKE OVER their party when all we really wanted to do was make sure that they KEPT THEIR RIGHTS!

16 of 16 delegates to the congressional district convention and the state convention went to Ron Paul supporters. 8 of 16 alternates were Ron Paul supporters. Since we didn't have enough delegates to fill all the alternate slots, we gave the other eight to others who attended the caucus.

It is really encouraging to see that the Ron Paul people are not only hanging in there, but beginning to prevail over the neoconned Republicans. We hope to do the same in Pennsylvania despite the annoying Hillary/Obama flybys.
