It's Official! Oregon wants Ron Paul!

The Ron Paul campaign has exploded in Oregon and now, with a new web site: OregoniansForRonPaul.com, it's official- Ron Paul is Oregon's choice for President in 2008.

The Portland Meetup group (now almost 300 members strong) have "visi-blasted" Oregon freeways with "Banner Brigades" on a daily basis for months.

Portland co-organizer and chief sign-creator, Scott Sutton, developed the Ron Paul Sign Page, a key part of the web site OregoniansForRonPaul.com. Scott, along with many other devoted campaigners including Jerret Kinsman, Terry Hamel and Jamie Jackson, have worked tirelessly to build the web site, edit videos, and create signs to make this happen.

Scott Sutton had this to say: "We want to get the word out and show people how a grassroots campaign is run. These signs are really having an effect on people as they drive by. Thousands see the signs and wave or honk and smile. They are catching on to Ron Paul's message and we want the rest of the Meetup groups around the country to have the same effect on their own communities. Come check out the Ron Paul Sign Page and see which ones work for you! Or make your own and submit the idea to us through the web site. Our Banner Brigades are out there every day having a blast while spreading the message of liberty!"

With the primaries closing in on a few early states and the holidays coming soon, it's crunch time for the Ron Paul grassroots campaign. Make your voice heard! Visit the Ron Paul Sign Page, makes some signs and start a Banner Brigade with your Meetup group.

Ron Paul has Oregon's support!

Great job Portland

I'm just across the river in Vancouver and totally support your efforts. You had the widest display of great creative Ron Paul signs I've seen in one place yet. Keep up the good work.

Our Vancouver Ron Paul Meet Up keeps gaining more steam on a regular basis and just keeping up with you is great inspiration for us. .

I'm glad to see we all are holding up our corner of the Pacific NW for Ron Paul, the next President of the US.

NICE!

How did you make these great looking signs????!?!?!?!

We'll have a youtube video of THAT too, but until then, here is the text version:

get corroplast
get stencils
- you can make your own with posterboard
- print letters with "outline" turned on (to save ink)
- tape over posterboard and cut with razor
spray back of stencils with adhesive
place stencils onto corroplast
- push hard and/or roll with cylindrical objects like spray paint cans
cover areas not to be painted with tape and newspaper
spray paint stenciled corroplast
