Gold and Silver are skyrocketing as I type this right now. Gold almost at $1010 an ounce and Silver almost at $21. This is a great article....The Gov't may push it down tomorrow! Also, read this from the Article.....I agree 100%

UPDATE!!! Just in the past few minutes of this being posted Gold is at $1018.25 and the dollar index is crashing fast below the 71 point mark. Very Very Bad!
UPDATE #2 Just passed $1024 an ounce!! When does this end...Tomorrow will be one hell of a day for stocks. I predict DOWN 340 points minimum on the dow. It is already down 200 points in Pre-Markets.
UPDATE #3 Well, I didn't plan to be updating this like this. Gold Now $1032.00 I can't even keep up it is going up so fast! The dollar has fallen to 70.98 just now as I type. The lowest in history! Get ready people...this is going to be ONE ROUGH WEEK!!!
Update #4 Wow what a few hours that was. Gold is now at $1025 on some profit taking...we will see what happens overnight. The stock market is now down 234 points on pre market data. Tomorrow would not be a day to be in the stock market....if any day is now?
Update #5 Well it is starting to move up again $1028 right now.
I need to go to bed! Dollar at 70.79 and still falling. WILL WE BREAK 70 TONIGHT?? on the dollar index.

Word is going around the wire that the fed has cut the discount rate .25% effective immediately! For this to happen on a Sunday night is unprecedented and signals a panic move to prevent an institutional run on banks this week, we are in serious trouble! Wish I would have bought $5000 in American Silver Eagle coins back in January, damn it.

Peter took a question on the Amero possibilities tonite and said that NO country would want to partner in on a country whose currency is collapsing and is heading into a major economic disaster. The fear is that this collapse is being used to drop the dollar to the point where Canada and Mexico won't have such large reservations about combining their currency to ours. Even with our economy at the level it is right now, Canada and Mexico would be swamped by the shear bulk of the US economy.

2 options
If the Fed does not announce a rate cut prior to the markets opening, the Dow will tank.
If the Fed announces a rate cut prior to the market opening, you will see the Dow spike up again for a day or two and back to its decline. Oil, should go through the roof tomorrow, and Silver and Gold will be manipulated again to try and stop its rise.
The Dow is already down over 209 points in pre-trading activity.
If the Dow does spike up, this will be a perfect time to get out.
Another problem that you may have seen....is their is not ONE BIT of good financial news anywhere. It is all bad, bad, bad. And you know the people that report the news are trying their best to make it as light as possible without making people panic.
Watch Commodities Prices this week...they should go sky high and be very Volatile....with huge swings. Oil will go one way...UP. With another Fed cut tomorrow, that means more devaluation of the dollar....so all prices go up. Very Simple. Even though the stock market goes up a little, you are actually losing because the dollars value is going down. If you gain 1% in the market tomorrow, you most likely will have seen the dollar go down 1%. So you make nothing. The fed can only use this lowering of interest rates tool for a few more times...then the Fed runs out of bullets. That is when it is going to get real interesting.

The rate cut they did today was not the regular Rate cut. The rate they cut today was just the Inter-Bank Rate....they will be cutting the Fed Target Rate tomorrow which is the one that is supposed to affect Mortgage and Credit Card rates. Probably by .75 maybe a full point!
