Obama Attended Hate America Sermon
Obama Attended Hate America Sermon
The Obama campaign has told members of the press that Senator Obama was not in church on the day cited, July 22, because he had a speech he gave in Miami at 1:30 PM. Our writer, Jim Davis, says he attended several services at Senator Obama's church during the month of July, including July 22.
The church holds services three times every Sunday at 7:30 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Central time. While both the early morning and evening service allowed Sen. Obama to attend the service and still give a speech in Miami, Mr. Davis stands by his story that during one of the services he attended during the month of July, Senator Obama was present and sat through the sermon given by Rev. Wright as described in the story. Mr. Davis said Secret Service were also present in the church during Senator Obama's attendance. Mr. Davis' story was first published on Newsmax on August 9, 2007. Shortly before publication, Mr. Davis contacted the press office of Sen. Obama several times for comment about the Senator's attendance and Rev. Wright's comments during his sermon. The Senator's office declined to comment.

Obama to Get the Dems 'Barack' into the Business of Gun Control
by Erich Pratt
Director of Communications
It sounded like a report from the National Enquirer. Dick Cheney and Barack Obama... cousins?
Say it ain't so, Mrs. Cheney.
But in fact, the Vice-President's wife revealed this bombshell in her recent book, Blue Skies, No Fences. According to Lynne Cheney, the current veep and the Illinois Democrat Senator, who wants to be the next president, are distant cousins -- eighth cousins, to be exact.1
When hit with this revelation, the Obama campaign took the news in stride, saying that, "Every family has a black sheep."2
All kidding aside, it's too bad that Dick Cheney and Barack Obama didn't do more shooting and target practice together in their youth, because today, they couldn't be more polar opposites when it comes to the Second Amendment.
Whereas one would be hard-pressed to find an anti-gun vote on Cheney's House record -- as he served the state of Wyoming for many years -- Obama's gun record is just simply atrocious.
Oh sure, Obama told Iowa radio listeners last year that he is a "strong believer" in the rights of hunters and sportsmen, and that homeowners should have a firearm "to protect their home and their family." But then in the next breath, he says, "It's hard for me to find a rationale for having a 17-clip semiautomatic [sic]."3
Good thing the ban on magazines that Obama supports was not in effect during the Los Angeles riots of 1992. That's when Korean merchants successfully used their semi-autos -- with large magazines containing multiple rounds -- to keep looters away from their stores. Their businesses remained standing, even while many others (which were left unprotected) burned to the ground.
Obama supports the existing gun control laws on the books. Nowhere in his literature or in his campaign speeches does he stake out a position in favor of repealing any gun control measure that has passed into law.
Not surprisingly, Obama supports the gun ban in the nation's capital, saying the "DC handgun law is constitutional."4 And he is opposed to people using guns for self-defense, when those guns are owned in localities like Washington, DC and Chicago where firearms are banned.
Illinois resident Hale DeMar was prosecuted by the town of Wilmette for using a handgun in his home to defend his family in 2003. Because Wilmette had imposed a ban on the possession of handguns, several Illinois state legislators introduced SB 2165 to protect the right of self-defense for residents like DeMar.
True to form, Obama voted against the pro-gun legislation.5
It is very telling that Obama moved further to the left than most of the liberal legislators in his state. The self-defense bill protecting gun owners like DeMar passed the state senate 41-16 and was later enacted into law over the governor's veto (and over Obama's opposition).
The concealed carry of firearms is another important issue for gun owners, and yet Obama is not only opposed to citizens carrying guns, he supports using federal laws to override those states which currently allow the practice.
In 2004, Obama said he supports a national ban on concealed carry because the states that allow it are "threatening the safety of Illinois residents."6 Never mind the fact that concealed carry laws have improved the safety of citizens in the states that have enacted such laws.7
Obama has also taken a strong position in favor of the Clinton semi-auto ban which sunset in 2004. "I believe we need to renew -- not roll back -- this common sense gun law," Obama said.8
Well, there's nothing that's "common sense" about the Clinton ban. Not only did it outlaw almost 200 types of firearms, legislators like Senator Chuck Schumer of New York tried to amend the law (before it sunset) to include additional types of semi-autos -- even banning classic (wood-stock) long guns such as the Remington shotgun which Senator John Kerry received as a gift during his 2004 presidential bid.9
Bottom line: Senator Obama may not be as gun ban-crazed as the infamous Chuck Schumer. He may not lay awake at night dreaming of ways to disarm honest gun owners. But sure enough, Obama is a committed anti-gunner.
The chart below lays out the key votes and positions that Sen. Obama has taken over the past few years.

Dissent people remember....
Is a good thing..it helps freedom stay alive and helps the government get to a better place then oppression.
This Wright is spreading an
This Wright is spreading an ungodly, unbiblical--black liberation 'theology' which takes its roots from socialism and communism. Wright is a racist of the worst kind. Anyone concluding otherwise...better do a bit more research.
I black minister from Harvard called into a radio talk show...expressing grave concerns re: Obama attending this church for 20 years, Wright is Obama's spiritual mentor, baptized his 2 girls, married the couple, the church's honoring Farrakhan last year...him being Obama's campaign spiritual advisor too...on, on.
Further, Obama's excuse...he did not know Wright was saying these things...is seriously problematic.
Wright's tapes were for sale by the church entitled "The Best of Rev. Wright."
Either Obama is seriously deceived by Wright uh...for 20 years...or Obama is a liar.
Is Wright right?
Haven't heard all he said, but what I have heard seems at least worth considering ... stuff like there was no need to nuke Japanese civilians (could have dropped the bomb in Tokyo bay)... but anyhow, it seems that Wright said a few things that heated up the chanting "We're Number One" gang of war-hungry McCain Americans. I'm white and R.C., and have no problem with someone expressing their views. If Obama thinks that he need not put a flag pin in his lapel (as Bush & Co.) or that he must close his ears and walk out on anyone critical of the "God Bless America" gang then that's fine by me.
I'll vote for Paul, but I'm not going to hold my breath until I turn blue unless Obama starts posturing about like the rest of the flag-worshiping "patriots" on MSM. Maybe its time to really think about getting out of the state of national denial -- we have and still do a lot of nasty things to ourselves and other people ( e.g., over 100,000 dead Iraqis or the yet to be killed Iranians, ah, and don't forget Vietnam). As to the blacks... yes indeed, they were not treated very well, were they? (hint: many are still not being treated well.) Its time for the dysfunctional Uncle Sam to to look to his own people, and stop his silly meddling with other peoples problems. He has enough of his own -- but won't admit it. The MSM rancor is a clear sign that Wright touched a nerve.
Jeremiah Wright is correct on 80% of what he says
The MSM is of course picking the most outrageous clips, just like they did with the RP newsletters.
Its true that 1 in 3 black men are in Prison, mostly because of drug laws, combined with 3 strikes and your out laws. Its true that Hillary was part of the Wealthy elite from her youth. Its true that the Palestinian - Israel situation is related to 911 attacks. Its true that our foreign policy was responsible.
Of course, I disagree about how to fix these problems, I often find it difficult to see how someone that thinks, with good reason, that the government has screwed them over, also believes that the government is the answer to their problems.
agreed
Fortune Favors the Bold
i don't like Obama, but i feel this is kind of the same "guilt by association" thing they did to us
It is interesting to me the way that the MSM
It is interesting to me the way that the MSM and the NeoCons keep attacking Obama. I am starting to think maybe Obama is not pro-war enough for them. He said he would go after Bin Laden, but I feel Obama thinks his statement emphasizes the fact that they have not found Bin Laden. I know Obama is too socialistic, but do you really think he is worse than Hillary, or McCain?
His minister should not have said G D America. I don’t like that type of anti-American statement, but I don’t have a problem if the minister believes in a population control conspiracy about AIDS. I don’t think anyone should harbor bitterness, since bitterness can hurt a people.
Obama is a separate individual from his minister. One positive aspect about Obama is that I don’t think he would be starting wars anytime soon. I think that Pakistan statement was just rhetoric. I really like Obama, but I hope he is not a bad person just pretending to be something he is not.
Hillary is allegedly very radical, if you study about her past. I think she is only pretending to be a moderate and I suspect that she is probably far more radical than Obama. She was also not President when she lived in the White House and people forget that. Look at her medical plan to garnish wages and force socialist medicine on everyone. Hillary is absolutely pro-war in my opinion. Hillary is absolutely not a good candidate for President and she is the NWO anointed candidate.
Everyone knows that McCain is pro-war and for biometric ID cards and he would make a poor choice for President.
I would like to see Dr. Paul become president. It looks like the three most likely candidates are really not good for the country. Do you think perhaps some world or national disaster could cause the elections to be cancelled? Any way you look at it, I think we are in for trying times.
Mountains and molehills
I agree with Avoiceforreason. Compared to Hillary's sleaze and cunning and McCain's obvious insanity, this is small potatoes.
why does this even
why does this even matter?
Religion shouldn't be an issue in the race and I think people have blown this out of proportion...
What that reverend said didn't sound all that different than what Martin Luther King said (although this guy sounded angrier).
What I took from it, is that the pastor was mocking how everyone says, "God Bless America." Yet, we're asking God to bless a country that is highly corrupt.... the pastor cites racial divide and the poor, and the killing from the war.
This doesn't seem that different than what Dr. King said about America's foreign policy and policing the world. So, I think people have really twisted this into a big deal.... just like they said Ron Paul hates the troops and isn't patriotic for wanting to pull out of Iraq, and that the reason terrorists attack us is because we're over there.
I don't agree with Obama on the issues, and that's where the debate should be focused, not on stupid meaningless dribble about his pastor.
Look at you, voice of treason
You're just an anti-Ron Paul troll for Obama. How much are you paid? You're not doing your job very well, because you are just so OBVIOUS in all of your posts.
Be careful...
There are two "a voice of reason"'s
The good one: "aVoiceof Reason"
The bad one: "avoiceofreason".
You just vented at the good one.
;-)
I was confused about that.
I was confused about that. Cause I like what he said but on other threads he rips me a new one.
He is a politician
Don't they all lie. So smoothly. Thank God for Jim Davis being there and also for contacting Obama's press office. Obama was listed as one of the TOP 10 Corrupt Politicians of 2007 by www.judicialwatch.org
Sure hope this forum goes far and wide. Thank you
I wonder if Obama's true
I wonder if Obama's true feelings about this topic are partly the reason why he wants to increase our taxes by nearly 1 trillion dollars and give that money to other people outside of the United States. To me, wanting to do that sort of thing shows that he does not care much for US and that he cares a lot more about people who aren't US.
