Does Ron Paul think Osama Bin Laden is alive?
And does it matter?
I have heard Obama, McCain and Clinton continue to refer to Osama Bin Laden as still alive. (In other words, still to be feared - as if he is the heart of "terrorism".) Meanwhile Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto referred to "the man who murdered Osama Bin Laden" in a televised interview last November. She was assasinated the following month. The mainstream media has practically ignored these wee details. If we are to believe "new" video footage of Bin Laden is indeed new, then he is in fact getting younger. So, he probably is dead, which confirms further lack of trustability amongst front-running presidential candidates.
But what is Ron Paul's take on whether Osama Bin Laden is alive or not? I realize that Ron Paul would probably not waste money chasing after him anyways, but I would find it comforting if a U.S. politician actually admitted that, at least in all probability, Bin Laden is dead.
Here's an interesting website on subject.

Don´t matter much. I have
Don´t matter much.
I have not seen any proof he was involved in the 911 attacks nor seen any effort made by anyone to arrest him. A serious effort to find him would be a good way to find out. Ron voted for that, but as he said, they stopped looking. Personally I think Benazir Butto is more trustworthy, than people than have been proved again and again to be lying.
If I May Interject This Into The Conversation

___________
I have no idea what RON PAUL may or may not believe in this regard. We should know how he views this; we should know, but we don't. It's a damn good question you ask.
We all heard former PM BHUTTO's clear and simple remarks: '... the man that murdered OBL' --
Yes we heard it and then the BBC saying nothing about it also showed how they heard it as well because they quickly cut it from their tape. Thanks to all the inquiry into this the BBC quietly put it back in as if to say -- we didn't do anything wrong. They got caught in blatant censorship of the truth -- and yet time marches on.
The former PM BHUTTO's remarks are most likely what caused her untimely death (her assassination) -- kinda hard to sit down and discuss this subject further with her, I'd say. That's quite clear. And also what is quiet clear is how the MSM have gone out of their way NOT TO ALLOW this to become knowledge for public consumption. The skills of cover up are recognized in Frost not pursuing this world important information when he heard '... the man that murdered OBL' and yet he did nothing, he said nothing, he pretended she didn't say what she did. But it's there -- a voice from the grave speaking TRUTH to us just as the voices of the MSM continue to redirect and misinform.
-- As a bit of side news:
Here's most likely WHY TED KENNEDY made his recent public endorsement of OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT // He had to because of his stupidity earlier caught on film. These guys are so transparent.

Bhutto's remarks
WJenkins, it is not a matter of us being so "quick" to take her word, but that nothing--nothing--happened when she said it! That's the point!!!! Millions dead and a major political leader says that the person who supposedly started it all is dead--and not a word??? From anyone anywhere? That's the point!!!!
He's a Troll, absolutely
Paulers could never be so dense...
Bin Laden WAS a dialysis patient
He would not have lasted long in the mountains.
I really don't understand how Bhutto could clearly say he was murdered, and the Media does nothing with her statement and Frost's acceptance of her statement as fact. Then like you said, she was murdered.
But now some new video of someone who doesnt look like him if you compare it to original photos, videos of him is being passed around?
I cant take it anymore.

Osama
must stay alive. I can't even hear the term islamo fascist terriorist without cracking a grin. This War on Terror is the same as the War on Drugs total bullshit kicked off by staged terror until Americans can wrap their minds around this premise we will not even begin to recover. Staged!!! Staged!!! That's where all the evidence points!!! Dissapearing airplanes and steel frame structures obliterated by fire!!! What a joke this country must look like to the rest of the world. There are no greater terroists than Cheney, Woflowitz and Co. Why should we pay taxes to a government that is out to destroy us by any means necessary??

Osama said he has nothing to do with 9/11
FBI investigating report said he has no connection to 9/11, he is a son of Bush's best friend. We all know either he is dead or drinking Champaign in the palace. almost all people around the world except here(still many don't know) in US knows this war on terror are total fraud. Its not even funny to hear Bush mentioning about Osama Bin Laden any more. Its almost sickning to even hear MSM mentioning about it.
Osama Bin Laden is alive and well and reading Daily Paul.
You will find him scarfing Cheetos and diet Pepsi in the Ferdinand Marcos suite at the George W. Bush compound in Paraguay.
great truths here
I was amazed at all of the intelligent posts and threads here about Osama being dead.
As former Military,a dn one who has worked with Intel people from various staffs -- he is dead becasue the tapes -- when compared to each other -- in cases look like different people. Plus -- they only come out when Cheney and Bush and their Federal World Government traitors need to fool the public with another law to take away more of our freedoms.
Wow -- all of this seems to be coming to a head. With Commander Fallon gone from CentCom, and about a 1/3 or so of CentCom staff being transferred and cut (get rid of Fallon's like minded crew) -- satan's team is ready to attack Iran -- this summer I would gues -- with bombers.
Then look for another False Flag -- either on our soil or maybe against our troops in the Middle East. They will need a big reason to invade Iran with ground troops (the real goal) -- thus the major False Flag against our troops in Iraq, would give them that reason.
From a strategic view point -- our troops are too close together in Iraq -- a few sharp missle attacks, and we could lose more soldiers in a couple of days, than we lost in either Nam or Korea. This planning is intentional, and tresion.
I would expect still another False Flag, then on our soil -- blame Christians, or gun owners or 9-11 Truth Patriots, and use that as an excuse to declare Martial Law.
As I said on anothe rpost -- I used to laugh at Martial Law -- but then I realized that they already stold two elections, and they have jjust too much blood on their hands to leave willingly.
See you in the Detention Centers, which with the coming food shortages, will look like the camps during WWII -- skin and bones.
God help my faith, and our faith, that as the Constitution hangs by a thread, He will send real Patriots to save her, as He raised her up through the Founding Fathers, who He also raised up, and sent.
.
My personal guess is
Bush has to pretend that Bin Laden is still alive because if he were dead there wouldn't be an excuse to be in Afghanistan anymore. As long as they say he's alive they can convince everyone that it is in our national security to stay there
They say
That people who want the troops to come home are against the troops. They say you cannot be against the war and for the troops or say you don't support the war but you do support the troops. What a bunch of propaganda and the troops know it or they wouldn't support Ron Paul like they do.
In fact, how much worse can you criticize the troops than by saying they cannot get the job done. They can work and work and work, but they cannot ever get the job done. All they want is to get the job done and come home asap. But no. They have to stay and stay and stay.
They won the war on getting rid of Saddam. They won the war of fighting the Iraqies who never wanted us there in the first place even though we were told otherwise. Now they are fighting the people who are rallying to the defense of the country from over the borders. How many battles do we have to win there?
I wish we would start pointing out that our troops have done their job, they have won over and over, but this is a war that cannot be "won" without complete extermination, which we certainly would be against if it was us, and in a big way, it actually is us. "We" are waging war in all parts of the world which is actually a war on the American people.
They...
are in charge. They stole two elections. They have a blatent disreguard for the American people. Now on to the important news.....The Final Four!!!!
9/11 was an inside job .....time to get some answers..RP 2008
Of course

Ron Paul is right
to not get involved in this fruitless speculation. The MSM has tried repeatedly to make him take a position publicly on some esoteric and irrelevant issue. I don't blame anyone for saying that Osama Bin Laden is a fictitious boogey man. If he ever existed, I would be surprised. But this is the lie that we have all been told we must believe. and it's somewhat less destructive than many of the others. Ron Paul, it seems to me, has a policy of choosing his battles and chosng wisely.
Choosing his battles
If there's anything that I have learned from all my sovereignty studies/misadventures, it is the importance of choosing one's battles wisely. Yes! Ron Paul has already become the target of much public ridicule for being honest and correct about this country's general disregard for its Constitution. I'm just grateful Ron Paul's going out on the wonderful limbs of truthfulness upon which so few other politicians dare to tread.
But I was hoping that someone may have heard him weighing in on the subject, especially when Bin Laden's name is still invoked to justify the travesty by the Military-Industrial-Congressional Complex... kinda like "He's dead - get over it - now can we get back to cleaning OUR home?"
I know not
all of you are political veterans. But in the 2004 VP debate John Edwards took Dick Cheney to task for giving up the search for Bin Laden on three different occasions during the exchange. All three times, Cheney changed the subject. You could say that the US perpetuates the myth that he is still alive so we can keep fighting, but I'm more inclined to think that we did not get him. Cheney just would not have been able to resist gloating.
Besides that, while I have respect for Bhutto, why are we so quick to take her word? Also, why haven't any of the anti-war editorialists like at the NY Times picked up on the blurb in the youtube video?
One more thing, I'm certainly no expert on this thought, but wouldn't the name Osama Bin Laden actually be rather common? I could be wrong about this part...however, I think there is sufficient evidence to say he is still alive...but then again, maybe this is still some of the foxnews brainwash.
"Cheney just would not have
"Cheney just would not have been able to resist gloating"
Oh yes he would. Cheney is a smart guy, and if the plan is to prop up Bin Laden's corpse in order to instill fear in the people and get more legislation passed... no way would he be dumb enough to gloat.
Great topic for a new game.....
Get a world map tacked on the wall and play 'Pin the 500 pounder on Osama.'
By the "500 pounder", do you
By the "500 pounder", do you mean perhaps Al Gore?
lol
Too funny!
Maybe Al Gore ate Bin Laden.
It could happen.
I wonder Ok

Bin Laden's voice was detected regularly until [14 December 2001] by intelligence operatives monitoring radio transmissions in Tora Bora, according to the Pentagon [details]. Since then, nothing has been heard from the al-Qa'eda leader and President Bush has hinted in private that bin Laden's silence could mean he has been killed. [Telegraph, 12/28/2001]
Osama bin Laden:
A dead nemesis perpetuated by the US government
Osama bin Laden is dead. The news first came from sources in Afghanistan and Pakistan almost six months ago: the fugitive died in December [2001] and was buried in the mountains of southeast Afghanistan. Pakistan's president, Pervez Musharraf, echoed the information. The remnants of Osama's gang, however, have mostly stayed silent, either to keep Osama's ghost alive or because they have no means of communication. Click for full sized image
With an ego the size of Mount Everest, Osama bin Laden would not have, could not have, remained silent for so long if he were still alive. He always liked to take credit even for things he had nothing to do with. Would he remain silent for nine months and not trumpet his own survival? [New York Times. July 11, 2002]
Bin Laden has often been reported to be in poor health. Some accounts claim that he is suffering from Hepatitis C, and can expect to live for only two more years. According to Le Figaro, last year [2000] he ordered a mobile dialysis machine to be delivered to his base at Kandahar in Afghanistan. [Guardian]
Peter Bergen: Bin Laden has aged 'enormously'
This is a man who was clearly not well. I mean, as you see from these pictures here, he's really, by December [2001] he's looking pretty terrible.
Bin Laden December 27, 2001 video
Healthy bin Laden
But by December, of course, that tape that was aired then, he's barely moving the left side of his body. So he's clearly got diabetes. He has low blood pressure. He's got a wound in his foot. He's apparently got dialysis ... for kidney problems. [CNN]
The [December 27, 2001 video] was dismissed by the Bush administration ... as sick propaganda possibly designed to mask the fact the al-Qa'eda leader was already dead. "He could have made the video and then ordered that it be released in the event of his death," said one White House aide. [Telegraph]
Pakistan's Musharraf: Bin Laden probably dead
Pakistan's president says he thinks Osama bin Laden is most likely dead because the suspected terrorist has been unable to get treatment for his kidney disease.
[A Bush administration official] said U.S. intelligence is that bin Laden needs dialysis every three days and "it is fairly obvious that that could be an issue when you are running from place to place, and facing the idea of needing to generate electricity in a mountain hideout." [CNN]
Renal dialysis -- talking about hemodialysis -- is something that really is reserved for patients in end-stage renal failure. That means their kidneys have just completely shut down. The most common cause of something like that would be something like diabetes and hypertension. Once that's happened, if you're separated from your dialysis machine -- and incidentally, dialysis machines require electricity, they're going to require clean water, they're going to require a sterile setting -- infection is a huge risk with that. If you don't have all those things and a functioning dialysis machine, it's unlikely that you'd survive beyond several days or a week at the most. [CNN]
Karzai: bin Laden 'probably' dead

Magazine runs what it calls bin Laden's will
The editor-in-chief of a London-based Arab news magazine said a purported will it published Saturday was written late last year [2001] by Osama bin Laden, and shows "he's dying or he's going to die soon." [CNN]
Usama bin Laden has died a peaceful death due to an untreated lung complication, the Pakistan Observer reported, citing a Taliban leader who allegedly attended the funeral of the Al Qaeda leader. "The Coalition troops are engaged in a mad search operation but they would never be able to fulfill their cherished goal of getting Usama alive or dead," the source said. [FOX News]

News of Bin Laden's Death and Funeral 10 days ago
A prominent official in the Afghan Taleban movement announced yesterday the death of Osama bin Laden, the chief of al-Qa'da organization, stating that binLaden suffered serious complications in the lungs and died a natural and quiet death. [Welfare State]

Israel does not view bin Laden as a threat. [Janes]
Israeli intelligence: Bin Laden is dead, heir has been chosen
Israeli sources said Israel and the United States assess that Bin Laden probably died in the U.S. military campaign in Afghanistan in December. They said the emergence of new messages by Bin Laden are probably fabrications, Middle East Newsline reported. [World Tribune]

When you hear a threat which is "probably" made by bin Laden, just remember that he's "probably" dead.
Also think about who benefits from your believing he's alive.
"Osama bin Laden"
Awesome reply. Yeah sadly Osama been rotting in the grave.
There was a an Indian journalist at the funeral.
Anyway. I had a good friend who had diabetes and stopped going to hospital and did it at home. Died in a year. Doctor said that is the way it goes. Very hard to do outside hospital.

Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden? Movie Trailer
http://www.slashfilm.com/...
OMG I loved that,
OMG I loved that, lynno..well done! That's a gem and thanks for showing it to me..:)
I believe he is so dead that when Bhutto made that statement she had NO idea that we Americans did not know it. She was not stating he was dead as if it was a revelation, it was while she was using him as an example to clarify something else she was talking about. It was like an "aside". He's dead. That convinced me..and the fact that no TV station actually reports the NEWS.
I wonder what he'll find??
I loved it too, can't wait to see it.
There is another release I am waiting for I.O.U.S.A. but ??? when does it come out?
It was so great. I am sure
It was so great. I am sure that trailer was all we will see..just a spoof on a movie I'll bet..:) Terrific..people are so talented..
Exactly
Bhutto confirmed he has been dead for years in the 2007 BBC interview which is on YouTube.
She was assassinated shortly after that revelation....
