I wrote a little something on this very theme earlier today (found here) -- re-awakening RP veterans and people new to the fold are combining to energize this movement anew. A new swell is definitely rolling and gathering, and I anticipate it will soon break forth with a tsunami force!

I totally agree with you DaddyWarBucks! We definitely need to stay positive and greet newcomers with open arms. We need to make this next one day donation on April Fools Day a success! I set up a booth at my county fair every year, and of course last year it was all Ron Paul. This is a great way to meet people and spread the word. The spot at the fairgrounds costs me around $150 for the week and it's money well spent. You always run into old friends and make new ones. Many of the people in my first meetup group(I moved to another state/border state) were people that I met at the fair last year. Great topic DaddyWarBucks! Thank you.

I don't feel as alienated and alone as I have for the past twenty or so years. I am so happy to know that there are as many like-minded folks out there that are starving for freedom.

Now, the change hype is really coming to a head in Obama. I figure by mid-summer that his supporters will see that he's just another establishment figurehead saying the same old crap that gets said every four years. I still have faith in the genius of the American people.

It's a bittersweet time in my life now. I encounter many people who now admit that Ron Paul was right on so many issues, but were convinced that he was simply un-electable. So many people bit their tounge and cast their ballots for the candidates they hated. Sadly, they have spent a lifetime watching the mispercieved reality of American politics--that of choosing the lesser of two evils.

Hopefully by the time of the Republican convention, people will see that there really is no choice between the big-name candidates. Perhaps it is not too late to convince McCain that he is unfit to be our next President. Maybe we can convince Ron Paul to launch a third-party candidacy. Who can really predict the future?

I can say that I agree with you on this post WarBucks. It's going to be the most exciting summer of my life.

We have new people showing up every week at our Meet-Up. Both young and older people are just hearing Dr. Paul's message and are excited about participating in this effort. As I have stated many times in past postings, "the best is yet to come.
