Social Security
Ron Paul mentioned that young people should be allowed to opt out of social security since the whole system is bound to collapse.
My question, though, is what about those who do not have social security numbers, like the Amish? It is a misnomer that the Amish don't pay taxes. They do. The Quakers believe in not paying taxes to support war. Is social security really optional then? How do they pay their taxes without social security numbers?
Can anyone help me with this?

The exemption was written in such a way to only benefit the Amish and Mennonites. They stood up for their beliefs that they should take care of their own elderly, while the rest of Christendom was/is accepting socialism.

On page 2, it talks about why the Amish and Mennonites are exempt from social security. Does this leave no hope for the rest of us?
