There seems to be a huge misunderstanding on the basics of how Joseph Newman's Energy Machine works. No one, and I mean NO ONE associated with Joseph Newman has said anything about perpetual motion in describing Mr. Newman's machine. Not even Joseph Newman nor anyone who has understood his theory. I'm no expert but I think I can describe it in basic terms. So here goes. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong.
A battery pack is necessary to start the machine. The current from the batteries goes into the machine and an electromagnetic field (EMF) is created as is typical in motors. A typical motor is turned on and left on until it is turned off when not needed at which point the EMF collapses. In the Energy Machine, the machine is turned on and off dozens, if not hundreds of times per second. Mr. Newman's theory is that the EMF consists of particles coming from the copper coil in the machine excited by the current from the batteries to the point of escaping the copper coil to create this EMF. These particles consists of mass that travel at he speed of light and rotate at the speed of light. Hence Einstein's theory of relativity E=MC squared. When the EMF collapses (as when the machine is turned off) these particles attempt to go back into the copper coil from wence is came. Mr. Newman deflects these particles at right angles due to its spin onto an output wire. Doing this hundreds of times per second causes energy (particles) from the copper coil to power the pumps, or whatever. Some of this energy gets fed back into the battery pack to keep it fully charged. This is all done with parts from a typical hardware store. Imagine his machine being developed with modern technology in which the Energy Machine can be turned on and off thousands of times per second. So in summary, the energy coming out of the Energy Machine comes from the copper coil itself and is NOT being created out of thin air. Eventually the copper coil is used up but it would probably take hundreds of lifetimes. I hope this helps.

Is Newman's plan "B" based on reality?
As Bearden pointed out the energy problem is not technological but political and the political problem is based on mental sanity (or not). There are, according to trustworthy sources, at least six different Free Energy inventions out there that work. So why doesn't the world have these energy systems attached to their homes, businesses and farms?
I've been associated with the Alternative Energy movement since 1983 when I helped found the International Tesla Society in Colorado Springs. Since that time long ago so much has happened in this rapidly developing field.
Why hasn't Newman built a unit for his house and shop? That is a good question because such an event would bring a lot of attention and business his way. As also a lot of the unwanted kinds of attention too.
Why does he (and others) not lock up their technology in an Intellectual Property contract (or similar) then license it NONEXCLUSIVELY to OEM and Mom and Pop Machine shops? Get a little down on the license and a royalty on any units produced. That is what I would do.
On the other hand the Alternative Energy movement has reached some maturity. There are some few persons out there who really know their stuff. All they are waiting on is for the right people with the right funding and attitudes. Indeed, humanity is on the verge of an awesome awakening and transformation of society in ways we can barely imagine. A good deal of the chaos seen going on is the old system crumbling away as the New comes in to put a solid footing under our very bright future.

From the beginning, all Joseph Newman seeks is his rightful patent and the opportunity to develop his technology in the American free enterprise system. So far, patent office bureaucrats have spend hundreds of thousands of our tax dollars to PREVENT Joseph Newman from obtaining his patent --- a patent that would not cost the American taxpayer a single dime!
That is injustice. Who loses? All of us. Joseph Newman loses because he continues to fight for the patent protection he seeks to bring the technology to market; and we all lose because we desperately need access to an inexpensive, abundant, and non-polluting electromagnetic alternative to fossil, nuclear, and coal fuels.

This makes me sad to see this post here, because this "invention" is nothing more than another in a LONG line of perpetual motion/energy "machines", which are IMPOSSIBLE ---- the very concept violates every law of physics known to man. You might as well go looking for a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow.
The reason that this makes me sad is that if real science were taught in even a cursory manner to every student in our educational system, everyone with enough intelligence to post here would already recognize this claim for the ludicrous scam that it is, and dismiss it out of hand. Truly, ignorance is reborn with every generation.

Now I can't say I believe this mans claims, but before you dismiss the whole idea you should look into the works of Nikola Tesla. Go to Tom Beardens site and look at what he is up to. I think it is thelastoutpost.com ? He has some hefty credentials too. We use electrical energy in a very inefficent way and I believe if we focused more on Teslas ideas we would have energy at an insignificant cost. It's funny that we don't hear anything about Tesla in school when he was the master alternating current. I was blown away by his genius and his inventions.

NO machine, not today and not ever, can produce more energy than is put into it --- we can just throw out all the laws of physics otherwise, and might as well start believing in leprachauns and unicorns as in perpetual energy.

Bearden, like Tesla, doesn't claim perpetual motion, but harnessing the free energy that surrounds us. But it requires a whole different thinking than what we have been taught in the ways of electrical engineering.

I lent one of Joseph Newman's books to an electrical engineer and he couldn't put the book down. He said it answered a bunch of questions he had on his mind ever since he came out of school. He said it could work.

to prove anything. I've watched a number of his videos and I haven't seen anything to convince me. Did you see him try to power a truck, how lame was that? Tom Bearden is much more credible and is working on Teslas theories. Tesla was a genius and Bearden is on the right track.

what makes joe's
invention so unique is that it produces lightning and the lightning is being captured (puts energy back into the batteries) and re used, the back spike is what makes the machine so incredible. it is what allows the machine to produce more energy out than in. it shows you that the energy is coming from the machine not the input power. it's is actually using the gyroscopic particles in these physical magnetic lines of force he refers to in laymen terms as rivers of energy.

but he is not very good at convincing. I can't believe it just because he says it. I would need more or better proof. I say let him set this machine out, hook a small 12v battery to it and power his house. Then I will believe him. Sorry.

its simple
the machine is using the voltage, 120 volts input power but its only using 12 volts. it draws between .0 and .1 amps so lets see. watts = volts x amps. 12x .1, 12x .09, etc = 1.2 watts, 1.08 watts and so on.
for those that cant understand that means that this monster machine is running on ~1 watt of power. one freaking watt! a night light uses 7 watts of power. if you cant understand the magnitude of this you have failed.
now his truck is there to prove his machine not only works but can be used practically right now!
Why not connect one to his home?
My idea from the beginning (around 25+ years ago) was why doesn't Joseph Newman connect one of his machines to his home? He would end up with more electricity than he needs and by federal law, the power company HAS to buy back that extra electricity. His machine could be big enough capable of producing so much energy (electricity) that he could eventually buy the power company. The employees of the power company could be employed to build more of these machines to sell on the market. I, for one, would buy one and do the same where I live. Before too long Joseph Newman and his "empire" would own all the power companies and can tell the powers that be to screw themselves.
You may have to have a meter installed that can go backwards to replace yours.
You may also have to look into your home owner's insurance to find out if an alternate energy source may disqualify portions of your insurance.
The noise from the machine may cause issues with neighbors complaining about the amount of noise throughout the day and night.

i would think the power brokers would get suspicious if he was pumping massive energy into the grid and profiting from it (massive profits). good idea though. He did turn down a phenomenal amount of money, 214 million, to sell his invention. so i'm not so sure its the money he is after

In one of the many demonstrations that I have attended, someone asked him that question. Why not connect his machine to his home and sell the excess energy back to the power company. His reply was something along the line that it would cause a lot of innocent people to be out of work at the power company. My thinking is that he could employ these people to help him build more machines. Also what hapened to the horse and buggy industry when automobiles came off the assembly line? Like I mentioned earlier, I believe it DOES work considered everything I've read and the numerous videos I've purchased and watched. Home use would require that his machine be set up to power a generator which in turn would power the home. The home requires a non-constant electrical input verses a constant pumping of water which could be used for home owners with swimming pools.
Mr. Newman is stuck between a rock and a hard place. He's asking for manufacturers to help in mass-producing his machines but he doesn't have a U.S. Patent. It needs to be scaled just right for whatever application it's used for, built to be appealing, noise reduction, safe, etc. All this requires lots of money that he doesn't have and manufacturing businesses usually would like assurances (in the form of a U.S. Patent) that their money spent on all the R&D is not stolen by other manufacturing businesses. On the other hand, he cannot get a U.S. Patent since the patent office refuses to give him one.
This is why I would like Mr. Newman to pursue the idea that I came up with earlier in building his "Energy Machine empire" of power company owners that would force the U.S. Patent office to give him the patent he deserves since they would have to realize by that time that it DOES work.
And I really don't care what the power brokers think. Do you? I know that Mr. Newman is not in this for the money. He's in it to first get his patent. Then he can move forward with his invention. He is after all an inventor by trade. He knows how to apply for a patent.

you are correct., If his machines produce energy, he could simply set them up in an old building and sell energy back to the grid.
As for the - I want the patent so someone doesn't steal my machine - lie, there are many companies that operate processes in secret that are not patented.

i'm currently seeking his book to study,the energy machine of joseph newman, but as luck would have it the inks and all that have been destroyed in a fire at the publishing company. yah im sure it was all just an "accident."
This guy has at least captured my imagination
Its a subject that I am in the middle of right now. We're searching all types of power production for our first farm project.
I called his number ealier today and it said I had to call back. Wouldn't take any messages. I bought the DVD's last year and he is a nuisance to follow because he flips around alot.
But there are people working on these things and my sense is someone will breakthrough and come up with something that takes atmospheric energy and converts it somehow.
My question to MrVanlom, ray4ron, Tramp and ironman77;
If I were going to give the guy money to build me a unit, what should I offer him? $10k , $50k?
I hate the thought of going down to see him and waste alot of time listening to war stories for 3 days. I'm willing to risk $50 to see if he's full of bull or for real. I just want a unit to try.

if you were to buy one it would be a one time purchase. Joe says that he turned down 214 million dollars for his machine, or something to the effect of an "open ended check." his reasoning: those that bought the machine would have leased it to us and "every year they would have a reason to raise that lease." but instead he chose not to sell it so he could sell it, once! but as you can see from the media coverage he got in the 80's his patent struggle was unsuccessful due to the men behind the curtains. lets just say he had about as fair an interview for his patent as Dr Paul's debate with huck, mccain and romney in the reagan library. he had 2 minutes to show his machine worked....

If I was this guy, I'd build them and get a lawyer to do everything he could to establish that I was first producer. Screw the patent office. Make the damn things and establish that your equipment works. There will be a market for it if it's reliable.

If I have a track record and everything I did was documented and verifiable -then if another manufacturer came along and copied me I sue them and unravel the patent office conspiracy in Federal Court. The guy is on record with his patent struggle.
