Fellow Liberty loving Patriots... I have invested in and studied the silver market now for 6 years.. Most of my information comes from Ted Butler.. www.butlerresearch.com Jason hommel is another good resource to get information from.. We are now starting the Silver shortage.. The price of silver has the "perfect storm" surrounding it! SHORTAGE, DEVALUING DOLLAR, LARGEST SHORT INTEREST ON THE FUTURES MARKET OF ANY COMMODITY, AND INVESTMENT DEMAND. this is exciting because I think you will see silver prices explode to levels that most people would think to be CRAZY... please look into the history of palladium- palladium went from 60.00 per ounce to 1200.00 when Ford was buying up all of the metal for cataletic converters so they could keep production going.. ofcourse palladium came back down but settled in the 250.00 dollar area.. now with silver.. Silver is used in many more manufacturing applications.. Silver is now in shortage.. when these huge companies go to secure a silver inventory to keep their factories open, it will be just a matter of time till the price of silver will truly explode! as many of you have said.. it is hard to find right now... Please study Ted Butlers writings and see what Jason Hommel has to say... buy what ever form of silver you can... even at 25.00 an ounce silver is dirt cheap!

Ive had no problems buying silver. I just bought some eagles and a maple leaf today.

There is a bigger picture than just a few eagles. Try finding 25,000 ounces.

We have been
buying silver for a couple of months now. We have purchased bars and coins... my son (the coin collector in the family) wishes we would buy only coins, but when I have enough cash on hand... why not buy bars? Anyway, every time I go to the coin shop that we use, it is crazy busy these days. The owner told me the other day that they have been so busy that by the end of any given day, she can hardly be nice to customers any more. Last time I was there I waited in line behind 4 people and 14 more came in while I was there (I got there about 1/2 hour after they opened). At least they haven't run out yet!

Good Postin, I agree with everything.
I suggest that you first locate a coin store that you are happy with, then begin to pickup a few silver eagles or a sleeve of twenty everytime you pass the store. Make sure that they are placed in protective plastic holders. These are cheap but will protect your coins from harm. I'm personally not big on paying a lot extra for a graded coin because at the time that you will really need these coins, very few, if any will be collecting and trading coins based on a grading system. The key trading point at that time will be that a silver eagle contains 99.9% pure silver and that the purity and the one once weight of these coins are stamped right on the face of the coin. These All American coins are not only beautiful but will be easily tradeable or acceptable during a time of economic turmoil, where foreign coins will have value but they will be more difficult to trade. You will probably have to discount the trade value of a foreign coin.
In addition, begin giving these coins away as birthday or Christmas gifts. Many are mounted into beautiful wooden boxes that make great presentation gifts.

By Doing So You Save $$....
By purchasing a non-graded silver coin you save money which can be used to purchase additional coins. A couple of years from now when the dollar has gone the way of the dodo bird, very few , if any will care if it is a grade 65 or 70, they will only care that it is 99.9% pure silver and that it weights one once.

I was in the Tampa area a few days ago... On the main news station there they had a report on gold and talked about how it went beyond $1000 for the first time recently. They mentioned gold hitting $850 back in 1980 and mentioned that considering inflation since 1980 gold would need to hit over $2000 an ounce to pass that previous all time high.
That was on the MSM in Tampa. The MSM is beginning to wake people up to the value and protection of gold/silver.

If I knew you better. I do feel a little more at ease because of the fact your in the ron paul community, and that 12% is a pretty lucrative offer. Although once as a kid I thought it be cool to be a loan shark. But then as I grew older, I found out that bankers are pretty crooked folk.
