The Plan "ALL ALONG" was
for Romney to keep his delegates and use them as a bargaining chip for the VP spot. Romney and others knew that McCain did not have this thing in the bag, but that if Romney could say to McCrap, "Add me to your ticket and you can count on my 300 delegates to vote for you", then they both win. Even if McCrap were to be elected, I think we all realize (including himself and Romney) that he would be a one-term president. Romney being his veep sets up Rom for Prez for 8 more years, or even more if McCain checks out during this term.

This is a prime example of the lies your are fed, if you have forgotten Romney had a complete smear Mccain campaign and now they are like the best of friends.
This is the farse they use to trick you.
I can see the speech now from them both and this is what i would write as a campaign strategy for the (D) if i was still with my party.

I think along the same lines as well. Well, many Romney supporters were very disillusioned and disappointed when he dropped out. Maybe they do not trust his flip-flopping anymore. I read after his speech at CPAC, there were not only Romney supporters that immediately went over to Dr. Paul, there were also Romney fincanciers/backers that push for Bobb Barr to run for the LP nomination.
I read this week at politics1.com that McCain is not so on the cards as VP, McCain may more think of govt. Charlie Crist, that ensured his crucial win in Florida or C. Rice and that his preference would actually be Joe Lieberman. McCain would like to have a maverick and someone that brings a state/support to the table (e.g. not Mark Sanford from SC, where he will already win) and Crist/Lieberman also shares the "global warming" agenda that McCain has.
Furthermore, re. your old part, one wonders whether an unexpected, but forcedObama/Clinton or Clinton/Obama ticket would be probably, especially as they may be afraid that a strong minority supporters of the one that does not win, may vote R, as reported. When both are on the ticket, they eliminate this problem.
There Ron Paul strategists should come together some time before the RNC and discuss all strategies and options in private (no email) with you included to go about persuading the majority of the delegates. It would be good if McCain would be forced to quit before, or loose some of his delegates as you referred to before. The neocons will be very organised, but they have the disadvantage that it is a top-down process and there is not much enthusiasm nor grassroot support for McCain. The GOP needs a "maverick" to win, so Romney and Huckabee would not qualify. As we all know that McCain and Paul are the only two mavericks that can get votes from Democrats and Independents.

I know that Romney is a hypocryt. Romney is a freakin' idiot! He spent millions of dollars trying to convince people that McCain was a liberal! And Now he's campaigning for him?! I'm LDS and no offense but there are a lot of LDS members like Romney. Many are called but few are chosen. Romney is ignorant just like my stake president who disfellowshiped me for not believing in licensing laws because the whole marriage license issue! I'm sick and tired of all the crap that is going on right now! Romney needs to get his head out of his ass and learn a little about his Religion's history of the prophets and what they've said about the constitution and the last days.

Okay, I know you're not actually. The LDS church is full of "leaders" like Romney, and they are ruining it and pushing good people out. And as the people see what and how their leaders are, they become like them, as they aspire to leadership callings or are called to those jobs and expected to throw aside their true morals and values for the sake of the institution.
Oh well. Whatever the church may or may not do, just remember the Restoration is true and an apostasy was prophesied for the end times, after which Christ would come himself and set the Church in order. It has been out of order for a long time.

Romney is a well polished guy, and we all know that substance doesn't mean a whole lot anymore. This country is looking for "American Idols". The GOP realizes that ole warlord McCain is a little short on charisma, so look for Romney to be the double date pick. Nobody's scared of religeous doctirne either, look at the throngs marching behind Hussein.......and I'm not talking about Iraq's Hussein, I'm talking about America's Hussein! Most of the LDS
did not support Romney in the first place. They saw his true colors.
Others in the state were grateful for his accomplishments in regards to the Olympics.
IF he were a true Mormon, then I would be so grateful. I'm praying he just went along to get along - you know, the game of politics. If you can't beat them, then join them. But, I doubt this is the case...

Practically every Mormon I know supported Romney. Mormons gave Romney the win in every heavily Mormon state (Alaska, Wyoming, Nevada, Montana, Utah). The question in Utah was not "Will Romney win Utah?" but "By what percentage over 90% will Romney win Utah?" (And i believe it was something like 93%!). Most LDS are braindead and will vote for the guy who goes to their church, no matter what else. Sorry, it's true. I'm Mormon, and so are my family. Aside from my household, every Mormon in my extended family saw it as practically being their divine religious responsibility to vote for Romney.

I wandered down to the Brown Palace Hotel today (3/27) in downtown Denver and saw John McCain as he entered around 4:15 pm (MDT) on his way to his news conference. Mitt Romney was right behind him to his left, which I was not expecting. Didn't recognize Romney at first: he looks like he's spending too much time in his tanning booth. Maybe it's not a coincidence he looks burned.

With Romney. He left mandated health Insurance in Massachusetts a mess, and the more I look at it its only another tax on the people. A plan per month for a family is $1400-$2100. Now alot of people will not get health insurance because it is too expensive. So what they did was say if you dont get health insurance we are going to take money away from you on your taxes as a penalty. So they now tax everyone even more now.

Condi Rice has been quoted today as saying she might consider a spot on the ticket as VP where previously she had denied any interest. Should Obama get the nod, it might be she would be chosen over Romney for the ticket. Even if it is Hillary, she could still be a possiblity, as she has both the female and the black bases covered. I had sort of figured Romney as Secretary of State or Commerce.
Only one candidate will get my vote...Ron Paul.

My take
McCain is on his 'last leg'. Romney spent millions of his own $$ on his campaign and bailed when the PTB of the party asked him to (back door deal that I predicted earlier). McCain is going to drop out for SOME reason and leave Mitt with the ticket when he adds his delegates.
I'm tired of the old party hacks picking the nominees! This is a thinly veiled attempt to manipulate the process (or an act of desperation).
I won't vote for Flip Romney either but he is a bit more palatable than McInsane.
