I just went to the website
I just went to the website and it returned a message that my IP address has been blocked. I've never purchased from apmex and have never been to their website before. There's no reason for them to be blocking my IP address.
My guess is that they have taken the site offline for some upgrades and rather than displaying a page stating that they are upgrading they have that message saying that my IP address was blocked. If they are offline just for an upgrade, their website development / server admin team really dropped the ball on this one.

I'll keep checking though. I have been to their website before but never bought from them. Actually contacted them recently about purchasing a coin FROM me.

After years of using Bullion Direct with positive results, I thought I would give APMEX a try. I placed two orders at generous prices for Peace Dollars. Gave APMEX payment via credit card and they cancelled my orders due to "pricing errors" on their behalf. After using Bullion Direct and Monex for years without even one error, APMEX cancels my first two orders due to pricing errors. Here is a company putting themselves out as a premier numismatic company and they cancel my first two orders due to there errors. Hope this information is of use to some of you deciding who to do business with.

was having a hard time getting launched on my computer, it took like 30 minutes after the market opened before the charts would work, very strange. Wonder what the powers that be are doing now, or is Kitco having problems??
I forgot to mention that the I believe the dollar, as well as Wall Street will take a spanking this week, just my opinion though.

I just recently received and order from them and was a little worried about their site too. It is worse now than it was then. They were only taking call in orders for $5000.00 or more, then change to call in orders for $1000.00 or more. So I guess they just got overwhelmed and had to upgrade.

Hope this helps a little. I had no problems with my orders except that they would not accept orders over $2000.00 on a credit card. So I paid by check and it took a while for them to ship. I have been pleased with them and plan to make another order as soon as I see what I have left this month after donating to the cause.

My son works at Apmex and keeps the site stocked with product. About a week ago, the site was overwhelmed with activity and went down. They had 4 servers and are upgrading to 13 servers. My son said they have four people working on this. Call them during business hours. Keep checking the website. It should be up soon.

If you ordered last week
I would give them a call if you don't get your shipment by the end of this coming week. I've never had to wait long for an shipment from them. It may not be a bad idea to call them tomorrow if their site is still down.
