Can we just let this thread die? It's old news and before long this whole thread is just going to dissolve into rancor and infighting amongst us. There are more important things to be discussed here vis a vis RON PAUL
These brave American soldiers need to be treated with understanding, regardless of the inhumanity they exude. In war cruelty is inevitable, and we do not know what horrors our troops experience day to day. Until human beings are treated with respect, animals are doomed, especially in a war zone. There are many Americans who will return as changed people, possibly broken psychologically, and they will need our love and understanding. It is our job to help them and not condemn them for a war WE could not prevent.
I thought my meesage to people like you was pretty clear, but let me restate it: Go f**k yourself. Hold the people responsible, responsible. That would be people like you who would rather blame the victims than stop filling your (let me guess, got an SUV?) car with soldier's blood.
They were told our nation, their families, were being threatened by terrorists. Be angry at the people who lied to them.
They believed they represented the forces of freedom, and the spread of democracy. Be compassionate for the pain they endure when they realize they are fighting for Bush and Cheney to get richer.
They "wake up" in a foreign nation with their name on a contract saying they ARE owned by the government. If they choose to reneg on their contract, the lose "honor" and leave their brothers in arms vulnerable, for they defend each other most of all. Feel empathy for the wounds they bear.
And if you do not understand that these are the saddest, most desperate victims of the lies of this adminsitration, go f**k yourself. My family member died over there TRYING to defend your pathetic ass from some made-up boogeyman. It is NOT their fault that our government lies to them, drugs them, abuses them, threatens them, sleep deprives them, uses them as medical guinea pigs.... then sends them home broken to a nation of sleeple who want to blame the soldier for breaking.
Aww... go f**k yourself for even starting this.
YOU>YOU> and YOU are to blame. Don't blame these young men who have been sent into HELL on a bullshit mission by civilian politicians that many on this forum voted for or did not vote at all as if that is helpful.
Yes many of YOU and ALL of our civilian politicians are to blame. War brings out the best and worst in people. Particularly this kind of warfare, occupation of a civilian population. YOU need to understand these young men are thrown into a meat grinder where any moment they are under weapons fire coming from who knows where, and it ain't like an fing movie. No one is standing up and facing a hail of gun fire while calmly identifying targets and picking off the aggressors one by one. NO, in reality often the direction of the fire is unclear or from several directions. So the real response is to fire in the general direction with as much firepower as you have hoping like HELL the incoming fire stops before you or your buddy gets killed. And in this malay, guess what? Sometimes women, children and old men get killed.
So after a few months or a few years ( these young men see 3 up to 5, 15 month deployments) life becomes cheap. Who's fault is that?

Wasn't this
Wasn't this discussed/debated in depth some weeks ago? Why re-hash an old story?
(No subject)
i wish people would quit
i wish people would quit posting negative things about the troops on here. what exactly do you expect to gain by posting this?
If it were a fetus
It would have been no problem. but a puppy, can't do that.
Don't hold people accountable for their actions?
Is that the message you are trying to get across? That is almost a counter argument to everything Dr. Paul is advocating. Personal responsiblity.
DOCTOR Paul would recommend we care for the ill

Those are our children you are condemning
