All I have to say is, the torch has been passed on. Now is not the time to stop in your tracks. I'm sorry you feel burned out or whatever it is you said. But not everyone plays by the same strategy, 'specially in this case.

Fair Tax Math
In case you weren't listening closely to Huck's description of the Fair Tax Let me tell you what I heard. The Tax rate was 23%. Yesterday's $1.00 item would cost $1.30. That's a $0.30 tax on a $1.30 item. The rate is then .30/1.30= 23% And you thought it was a 30% tax. You just have to do the math so it looks better. Then you won't feel so so screwed.
But wait it gets worse. Remember that sales tax you pay? I bet it will collected on the new $1.30 value. Out here in CA that another 8% (more or less, depends on local rates) Now what used to be $1.00+8 cents will be $1.30+10.4 cents = $1.404
Keeping this in perspective if you earn a modest income your federal income tax effective rate (tax paid/Gross income) is probably less than 10%. Maybe way less. And CA is floating the idea of taxing EVERYTHING (adding services into taxable items list). So what FAIR about increasing the cost of everything 40%?
Thanks but if that's my only choice I'll stick with the income tax. Which was the idea all along. We vote for change and the proposed change is so bad we reject it. Say hello to no change.

Let me make this real clear. This R[evol]ution is a long term project. Yeah, its probable that Ron Paul will not be the nominee, but stranger things have happened.
That being said, we need to be in this for the long haul. Don't you realize this is exactly what the Neo-Cons, Bilderburgs, UN, et-al people want? They want you to quit because it makes their job maintaining the status quo that much easier.
By everyone admitting defeat, and then not making plans for some other course of action is your silent approval of their schemes. You need to constantly be aggressive in your defense of liberty.
Either that, or become slaves.
For me personally, I will choose liberty, even if I have to work to keep it.

Why didn't Ron Paul correct the guy?
Twice the interviewer called him the "former Presidential candidate", and implied throughout the interview that his race for the Presidency was over. Ron Paul did not correct him once.
I am a supreme optimist and want Ron Paul to be president so much I can hardly breathe! He cured my apathy and political lethargy! I want to continue canvassing, but agree it is hard to do, when RP and HQ will not defend the fact he IS still in the race, firmly and clearly. Stop saying "McCain is the nominee!" He IS not until the votes are in at the convention! If, in fact, we have a snowball's chance of succeeding at the National Convention (which we DO), how about throwing some encouragement our way? How many people believe he has quit? Especially after an interview like this (which was brilliant except for the "former candidate" stuff)... How many potential supporters were listening and said "oh, well, he'd be my choice if he were still in the race?" I'll continue to press on, because I believe in the revolution, but how many will cease their efforts after hearing things like this?

But the page that the link directs you to has at the top a banner for McCain. Is this odd to anyone besides me?
I am not one who plays favorite to both sides. Be that funding for my site or not. That is hypocrisy in my book.
And why didn't the Ron Paul Campaign staff run online advertising like this!!!? McCain is all but broke and looky what he's a doin.

That's not what I said. I said the campaign to be president is over. He's not removing his name from the ballot, if that's what you mean by dropping out. It's no longer a campaign to be president, but a campaign to convert people to the freedom philosophy. Listen to the interview and several others. In this interview he says "the campaign is technically over." Is that not a clear enough hint?

To engage in interesting conversation in general. Why I'm posting these particular messages is to help steer people to doing something more rational. Continuing to campaign for Paul is a misuse of resources, when he himself is no longer campaigning to be president. The campaign now should be a campaign for liberty in general, rather than a quixotic Paul for President campaign. People interested in liberty are wasting their time if they're still trying to get Paul elected.

both can be done, great. But, for example, if the choice is between spending money to put a Ron Paul for President sign up and a sign that has a libertarian slogan on it, the choice should be the latter.

I for one know a man of such integrity as Ron Paul who would not waste federal money to purchase Rosa Parks a congressional gold medal of honor for her strength against a overbearing government. No he instead asked the members of congress to pay out of thier pockets. Oh did I forget to mention that he has never taken a government paid junket. Come on people ! Don't go there. Ron Paul will get more coverage from the mainstream media when they say he's no longer running. After the people hear his name of running and not running so many times off of the msm. They will not trust what they say about the other three candidates. The radio host did not specifically ask him if he is out of the race. From the msm paperwork (delegate Mcc. count) he is out. GET IT ! We know he is not. Continue the surge of RP canvassing, precinct leaders and delegates. We the people have to both plow and ride him into St.Paul on what ever wave we can. Stay focused and do not waiver.
There are pressures from the elitist that continue to hound RP and we need to carry him to the finish line. The elitist cannot stop us, the people if we play our cards right. FIGHT MAN, FIGHT !

Why can't some of you guys understand Paul? He said explicitly that "the campaign is technically over." It's over! He's no longer trying to get elected as president. It's an impossibility. The goal now is just to educate people about libertarianism and covert the government back to where feedom and the Constitution is respected. Why did they introduce him as a candidate who was no longer in the running? Why didn't he refute their introduction? Why did he talk as if he was no longer actively running & was just showing up at events?

Because it's true
The goal is no longer to try to be president. That's not going to happen, as Paul knows. The goal is now a longer term goal of converting government back to libertarianism.

The Doc has said that he will continue to support all the campaign volunteer efforts that he can. I really appreciate that - his true support of our efforts, past and future, shows a lot of integrity. He was very clear this time in saying that the campaign is technically over. There is still much more to unfold!
