TN Gov. Bredesen Taking a Tally - Call If You Oppose the REAL ID!

PEOPLE THIS IS WHAT WE ARE ALL ABOUT,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Tennessee's Governor Bredesen is taking a tally of those opposed to the Real ID being implemented in Tennessee.
Call 615-741-2001 and let his secretary know that your are opposed to the Real ID. She doesn't ask for your name or contact information; she's just taking a tally. tAKES 5 SECONDS
Tennesseans to fight the Real ID NO DEADLINE AT THIS TIME KEEP CALLING KEEP BUMPED FOR THE WEEK THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

The office hopes to hear from actual constituents... but she was very polite to my Virginian comment/thanks for caring about what people thought. Go go go, Tenasis!!! Show us what can seen blooming in the Iris State!!!
I wish my state cared about what I thought.
I called in one big NO. Easy Peasy. And an actual human answering. I like TN.
Tennessee is one of those states that as long as they hear from
people they try to follow the trend . However if left up to politicans they can be led just like any other . The state tryed 2 times to set up a state income tax . It was voted down both times, When presure was put on the represenatives to vote down Mcains imagration bill they voted against it. Here Its very important to let the politicans know how we feel. And it still seems to matter.
National Id needs to be opposed
& opposed strongly! All can easily get involved in this cause & is very very important to do so

I wrote him
I wrote the governor a few weeks ago. His reply was very quick and I think it may have been a form letter.
He wrote: "....In the coming weeks the Tennessee Department of Safety will be conducting a detailed review of the final rules in order to fully evaluate
the impact REAL ID implementation will have on our citizens. During
this time, officials at the Department will examine options that will
enable our state government to provide services that balance
homeland security concerns with public safety practices as efficiently
as possible....."

The nice lady was pleasant and it took very little time and only a small long distance fee. I am currently trying to find some property in that state and would just hate it if they didn't oppose this monsterous thing. They have such great gun laws and other laws and the eastern side is so georgious.
Sure wouldn't want to have to change directions now. Thanks for the heads up.

I just wish I actually knew someone there.
It's a pretty scarey thing to just pack up and move somewhere that you don't know a soul or anything about the area, or anything else. I have done some homework on some things, but it still has me a little scared.
I am adventurous though and people seem to take to me. I moved to where I am now 10 years ago and knew no one. Have made some great friends and met great people. Just average Americans are great people.
