This would be extremely entertaining. They would have a real hard time leaving it alone and not talking about it because it would be soooooo much fun to watch. I just love it. Especially when Ventura gets rid of the rope mustache.

Ron Paul has said no to a 3rd party run. He's 72 years old, he was ready to retire a few years ago, he's only one man and he in an honest appraisal of reality sees that he is not able to succesfully spearhead this Revolution to the Presidency. That is why he opts for the more softer, slower approach of the Revolution evolving into an education campaign. He would, however, be a perfect VP for Ventura's boundless energy and willpower. The influx of energy and enthusiasm from Ventura would reinspire Paul and they could take the Presidency. But Ventura would need to be President. I am all for it, where is Ventura's contact info I will go all in if this happens.

A Ron Paul Jesse Ventura ticket would be a sure fire win! Yeah, Yeah, I know Dr. Paul has stated he won't run third party, but he also said he would continue campaigning as long as the support was there. So let's get these two great freedom loving minds together and draft them to be our leaders in this revolution. This movement cannot and will not die. We need lots of attention after the convention to sustain and grow support for our noble cause. This is the year, the time is now!

What's not to like about Jesse? I cut him slack on any impetuous statements or policy positions of the past because I see growth. His political inclinations are right and where else can you find someone with this level executive government experience and star quality who hasn't been corrupted and sold out. I believe he doesn't covet office or wealth.

Having read numerous biographies of all the Founders, none would pass the scrutiny some in this Movement would want to place on those for inclusion on the short list. Jesse strikes me as having the caliber of character and motivation we have come to idolize for an American Hero.

Remember, this shouldn't be about Jesse, or the Judge, or Ron Paul himself, leading this revolution. It is about the revolution embracing people of character and courage who will lead the sheep and help us face our enemies, who won't betray our principles. Think George Washington. He was not our constitutional scholar and he grew with the roles he played.

This last interview with Jesse, linked here, reveals great caution about allowing others to put words in his mouth. I see excellent diplomacy skills developing. I see him as very much able to learn while he remains true to himself.

I sense uncommon personal integrity and courage.

if when and if Jesse has some long sit down talks with Ron Paul that he might come around to Dr. Paul's way of thinking when Dr. Paul has a chance to explain things clearly.

I'd kiss the ground if Ron Paul was elected, even if his running mate was Alfred E. Newman.

Didn't Jesse Ventura have something like a 90%+ approval rating when he was governor? I don't know a great deal about his politics, but what I have seen of him he seems to have quite similar views to RP.

You guys ought to know that Ventura is a flaming socialist whom Lenin would have loved. Just think for a few minutes, seriously. How can Ventura be anything good in relation to RP? The Constitution does not authorize cradle to the grave government and Ventura makes clinton and obama seem petty in their ideas as far as liberalism goes. Taxing more and wealth redistribution is not an answer to what ails America, those things are what makes a population surrender to govt authoritarianism.

At least Jesse knows 9/11 was an inside job and isn't scared to talk about it!

I have noticed that there seems to be a difference in opinion about the borders between RP/JV. I think that an adequate comprimise is free exit only and proper papers for re-entry. Still kicking this thought around though. It does mean that Mexico could just set up their own checkpoints 50 feet down the road however.

Any thoughts? I know that their is just a terrible fear of certain people doing terrifying things to us, but I wonder just how likely is it? I think I might look into it and compare the likleyhood of one being attacked compared to one being struck by lightning...

I think they'd get a ton of votes as a team. JV would bring a lot of people to RP with his celebrity alone. Heck, I don't care which one is Pres/VP. Don't think it would matter much, as long as RP was in there one way or another.

A RP/JV ticket could mean a good long haul in the WH. 8 years of Paul and followed by 8 years of Ventura. In the case of assassination they would really need to take out both to gain any ground and i'm guessing they won't as long as Pelosi is the House speaker. Plus it would be very difficult to hide the double murder of the highest offices and Jessie is probably the only one who could potentially eliminate his own assassin. The only problem is Paul can't run third party and keep our House seat. So the closest you can get to the ideal is the JV/RP ticket. That would be only after JV has made a name for himself as a presidential candidate since they are in superposition to one another. JV's wave function cannot reach critical mass until RP's wave function has finally collapsed at the conclusion of the national convention.
