NCGOP leaves Ron Paul off website!! Ballot omission next? UPDATED

They are listing only McCain on their website so people will think Ron Paul has dropped out.

PLUS They want to list as many candidates on the ballot as possible -- even those who have already quit, like Huckabee & Romney -- to divert votes away from Ron Paul. (This is from Feb. 5, so not sure if the quitters were still submitted in March...)

Raleigh – The North Carolina Republican Party wants as many as five GOP presidential candidates on the ballot for the state's May 6 primary.

Party leaders asked the State Board of Elections today to list Mike Huckabee, Alan Keyes, John McCain, Ron Paul and Mitt Romney.

State law requires the state Democratic and Republican parties to alert the board by Tuesday about which candidates they want on their respective ballots. The Democratic Party's requests weren't immediately available.

The elections board will approve the candidate lists March 4. Some candidates could be removed if they drop out of the race. Others may be added if a candidate collects more than 10,000 petition signatures.

The GOP makes me ill from time to time that is for sure.

I noticed that this thread topic is the 5th title down now when you google NCGOP!

2 weeks later they have not corrected thier site!

After numerous phone calls and emails the NCGOP still has not corrected their site to reflect that Conservative Republicans have another choice as the Presidential nominee... which is decided at the National Convention ...not before remaining states have even had a chance to vote!

I just emailed all of them and told them they can keep their corrupt and vile party while I am off to vote for candidates with honesty and integrity...candidates like Ron Paul. I told them the GOP has lost my support forever but I will continue to vote for honest Republicans if or when they come along.

Chris I noticed you left out Ron Paul from the Republicans running for President. As a registered Republican and conservative, I implore you be honest and do what's right and include the only viable Republican candidate running.

Heres' the thing, I'm not leaving my party. What you have done will only strengthen this resurgence of true conservative Republicans to take back the party. Our numbers are growing. Soon it will be a place you don't feel at home, just as you have made millions of Republicans feel by doing this. But guess what, when we have taken our party back we won't do this to you, because not only are we conservative but we're fair so you will always be welcome in our party even for your past and present sins.

Intelligence and forward thinking, is important for the Republican party. Look at what's coming and just as an act of survival do the right thing. There is no reason his name should not be there. Americans do understand the delegate process. Nothing is set in stone until Convention. Put him up, be decent and allow Republicans to have a better name than traitor, the very survival of our party depends on it. McCain can't possibly beat the Dems, but Dr Paul has a chance.

While looking at my own state of Pennsylvania and their GOP site http://www.pagop.org I noticed Ron Paul is also not listed. I had to log off quickly though to prevent myself from vomiting all over my monitor. There's so much McCain propaganda it makes me think that we're in for another eight years of Bush/Neoconism...People make me sick in this state!

Then they might as well just drop out of the presidential election all together. There's not even a snowball's chance in hell he's going to beat Obama. McCain can't win.

1). disenfranchising voters.
2). if they argue that McCain is the nominee, then, they are wasting money on the primary.

They can't have it both ways. The only way to have an impact on the NCGOP is to beat them over the head in the local media by identifying their hypocrisy.

Ok People. I just spoke with a Mr. Miles at the FEC and he told me that there is no Federal Law requiring a state level political party to list all of the elligible candidates on their website. They can pick and choose. Looks to me like it's just more smoke and mirrors from within our own party. I still want to fight for every delegate, and I still want to see an insurrection at the National Convention, but we must all realize there is no substitute for taking the party back at the local level. That way when the whole caliope comes crashing down to the ground we will know who our friends are and can rely on each other to rebuild this great nation after a fashion the framers intended.

Great.... I guess we're not gonna get much help there with enforcing a complaint of bias from the party.... Hmmmm... maybe if we could somehow get ahold of the NC party bylaws and constitution.... I'm sure we could find legal basis to pursue this....

let them know! I just found this out yesterday as well and called HQ. They said to fax them over a copy of the NCGOP letter I recieved that omitted any mention of Paul. Get them involved as well.

No matter how deeply one buries one's head in the sand, it will not alter the reality of the world. To wit: while Senator McCain can creditably be described as "The Presumptive Nominee" the race remains open. Any number of events may transpire between now and the convention which could derail "The Straight Talk Express". To indicate, as your erroneous web-site does, that the nomination is a fait accompli is a grievous disservice to North Carolina Republicans who are entitled to the full spectrum of facts before them. My thirty plus years plus of vigorous engagement with Republican partisans leads me to suspect that my entreaties are in vain, but to surrender without resistance runs counter both to my own personal character, and to the greater American tradition of opposition to tyranny and monolithic group-think.
