The untold story on the blimp and your money PART 1 !
I knew it would just be a matter of time before the real story started to get out although this is from one side i want to hear what Trevor has to say first.
Could this be why he has ignored us when we sought his help to get the delegate info out to the massive email list he had?
Could it be this is why we have not seen him at all for months?
Could it be there was actually fraud and money being used for other things or even personal gain as the people in this article claim?
I do not have the answers but this story seems to shed some light on the true stories of the blimp and all of your money you donated.
This is only 2 sides thus far and there are going to many more sides to be explained and i would like to hear Trevor comment before i make any conclusion to this.
For those of you that attacked me claiming i wrote a hit piece on Trevor when all i did was ask for his help and questioned his motives i think you should read this.

We have plenty of villains who are doing more to harm our families than the blimp people and:
You have an effort of your own to maintain.
Infighting is what "They" want and is how they break movements apart.
They get their "leaders" into movements they want to control and weaken the movements.
It is their system and you are playing into it. I suggest you walk away from some event that occurred months ago and stay on course.
I repeat this type of infighting is WHAT THEY DO.
On September 9th, 2001 Rumsfeld announced that the DOD had "lost" $2 trillion. That is enough to build 25 million three bedroom homes. You are actually going to use the energy and talent God gave you to talk about a blimp.

Considering that the blimp was the most expensive/largest (literally...lol) Ron Paul Grassroots project and perhaps one of the largest grassroots project ever for a presidential candidate it makes sense that it continues to be explored and examined.
Time to move on
We don't have time to allow the over inflated egos of a few to undermine all our efforts. The one quote in the article that struck me hardest was " The freedom community is a close-knit, yet not so trusting group of like minded individuals. As Ron Paul's historic campaign comes to a close, this community has begun to unravel and the cause which united it is no longer apparent." end quote. The finger pointing is destructive and serves no point. Lyman did his job fabulously with the Money Bombs but fell short with the Blimp. Take the positive and learn from the negatives. Constantly harping on the same issue will cause you to run the risk of appearing a bit obsessed as well as turn the above quote into reality.

Actually the reason it became "told" was because one member of the blimp team kept giving information to reporters and trying to get it made public...

What triggered my telling was that Trevor spread false damaging rumors about me that were interfering with my other freedom work. All Trevor needed to do to keep this private was to disclaim the rumors that Granny was passing. Now the facts will come out and exonerate me.

Honestly the #1 problem with
Honestly the #1 problem with the Ron Paul Blimp project and thus the money was that trust was used between Trevor, Elijah and Jerry in places where legally binding contracts and agreements should have been and when disputes and disagreements arose between them the trust disappeared and left nothing in its place. So, several weeks into the blimp project everything to do with the money/who had power to do what with it got completely insane and the three of them went into their defensive/attack/retreat modes and eventually due to mediation, hard work and convincing they surfaced with legal documents. Thankfully the blimp owner really wanted the blimp to stay airborne for Ron Paul so he was single minded and those of us who had the management of the blimp tour's front end were also very determined so we keept that end up while the back end got sorted out.
The wrong doing has more to do with people controlling the money without authorization or violating the verbal agreements. These control issues are substantially more the case than what "wrong doing" probably makes people think...aka...theft or misappropriation.
That is not to say that the motivations of those on the project were always what one would wish them to be but in the end people received a little over the 6 weeks of blimp air time which is actually a little more than what was paid for..so the contract with the consumer was not broken.

It was between $6500-7000 each, total, I'm pretty sure
That included any draws, which I think Elijah was the only one to get any draws. The draws were subtracted from the final distributions. We all worked on this for far longer than the blimp flew, too. Besides the risk of FEC fines, we all took financial exposures. I funded almost the entire startup. (Trevor bought the blimp domain from GoDaddy.)
This was a distribution of profits after the bills were paid. The only reason there was any profit left was that Joe Amidon, our assistant manager and manager of administration, negotiated the blimp contract payout down.
It was disclosed from the beginning that this was a for profit business. If we didn't make a profit it would have looked more like a PAC disguised as a business, and we would have huge FEC exposure. We still have an exposure until the statute of limitations runs out, but there have been no complaints filed, and we are confident about being able to defend any that might come at us. If the FEC does come after us, however, the legal fees would be way more than what we got in profits, and the potential fines and penalties are in the six to seven figure range. For the risks we have taken, this is certainly not excessive profit taking.
We never asked for donations. We had no donors, just customers. Our customers got far more than they paid for, in spite of the internal disputes between the partners.
I hope this clarifies things until Part 2.

Hopefully more will come out about that in Part 2. I was very suprised to hear about the payouts when I received a copy of the settlement papers from a third party. I was under the impression from my conversations with Trevor and Elijah that there was going to be no profit paid out to anyone besides their agreed upon pay...which is why I ("like them" I thought) was willing to receive $500 a week to work 126+ hour weeks for which I put aside my normal job that I do as an independent contractor. But, like I said before, the blimp air time that was paid for by our "customers" was delivered at the $400,000 a month rate that was quoted on the website so no one was cheated out of what they paid for. Any speculation about bonuses relates to ethics, not legalities and I have been informed by the principles that they think it fair that they receive bonuses because of the personal risk they bear should the FEC one day decide to come after Liberty Political Advertising.
