SGP and Laurie: Cease and Desist!

I am done with the drama.. if you two cannot agree to disagree, you can both kiss my military ass. I am so fed up with the bickering... I must say Laurie.. you are not the cat's ass, and SGP.. you are not the know it all when it comes to delegates. You both need to just refrain from being rude, if not go to some other site like Obama, Hillary, or McCain that needs or wants the drama. If you want to add to this site do so by adding some substance. I must say SGP has added more to this site as far as the delegate process than anyone on here, so I must say I would rather see him post information over Laurie, especially since all she complains about is her "Personal Responsibility Crap". Be real Laurie, and start sharing important information to the campaign, and stop worrying about feelings okay. This is not about feelings, it's about our Country, and our Freedom. Direct your energy towards Ron Paul, the message, and what it will take to make his message, and his candidacy positive.

And it was way more than 2 people that kept the many threads active for hours, just like this thread.

Besides that fact, How does this flagrant waste of time help Dr. paul win the election? Exactly - it doesn't help at ALL. What it has done is divide people on the same team by matters of indifference. Human nature is always the same - always on the path to destruction or conflict. Now if you two mature individuals would just realize that and control that urge, we could have been light years ahead of the game and harnessed this waste of time into something productive.

We're here to help a person so that he may help us in return. We can't get entrenched in this petty, out-of-context battles between two individuals who may or may not have the same opinions. We have more important work to do and this is beginning to disrupt things here.

Laurie and SGP would get together and email each other privately and let this site alone. It really is getting very annnoying and I would hate for Dr. Paul and his family to see how these people are carrying on. It is very childish and they should let it go or do it on their own time and not here.

I ask some very legitimate questions in my "summary" of yesterday's DP "activity".

Freedom of association, statements based on facts...

There appear to be major differences in the interpretation of what "personal responsibility" means.

If so, that goes to the entire foundation of a "movement" that will last or simply disappear.

This is a perfect example of why the country is in the shape it is....
is it so important to be right that you will continue to bicker back and forth.

Let it go...continue to be involved in what YOU believe in and stop worrying about those that think differently. Everyone here has a mind of their own (or else we wouldn't be here)

Does anyone really believe that what one person says about "Trevor" or "whether delegates are bound or not" or "whatever point your making" will sway every thinking person here to agree or disagree?

I gave Trevor money....do I care what he did with it...yeah, but I really can't change anything now either way. If he did a great thing with it or if he pissed it away....it's my responsibility to educate MYSELF on him before giving money.
I tried to become a delegate....do I care if delegates are bound or not...yeah, but it's up to me to decide if I want to support voting my conscience or breaking the rules.

I'm all for everyone stating their opinion...(obviously, since I'm doing it now) and all for wanting to put information up there in hopes of guiding someone else on the path I'm on.....but after that....let it go.....
Be the change you want to see...but don't expect everyone else to change with you.

At the risk of stepping into this fray (where I definitely don't want to be) --

SGP: I deeply respect your efforts here on DP and in general with the delegate push.

Laurie: I don't really know you, as the only posts of yours I've noticed so far are the ones addressing SGP's actions. Perhaps you've written thoughtful posts, but I missed seeing them.

Whatever issues you have with each other, would you kindly remove it to another locale, such that your own squabbles cease to distract from the main efforts of liberty we are trying to address here?

It could be argued that your discussions contain information relevant to the cause; however, due to the level of contention your disagreements have created, I fear any possible relevance is outweighed by the distracting interference of your tea-party posts. Perhaps you both feed on this offensive / defensive drama; for the rest of us, it serves merely as a divisive poison.

Hopefully, you both hear and understand the polite tone of my request. I do wish to be respectful, and I suspect both of you would like to be respected yourselves. Sadly, any respect either of you have built up is quickly eroding due to less than mature interactions. Many (most) here do not care who is "right" or who is "wrong" in your debate...we simply don't want to be placed into the position of forced voyeurs to your play (even if we don't click on your posts, their headlines appear in the sidebar, often taking up lots of room there).

So please do us (and yourselves) a favor, and take it outside. Use personal email, set up your own website where you two can hash it out with each other without an audience, or whatever other solution that removes your debates from the DP.

Clearly, you both have intelligent minds and strong wills -- these are valuable traits for the cause of liberty! Don't waste such gifts on childish squabbling.

At the very least...please, not here.
