How would that even work? Ventura has no delegates. He's not even on the ballot in any of the remaining primary states. The only way you could get a Ventura/Paul ticket is if the GOP convention is deadlocked and Ventura emerges as the GOP's white knight. That's Jesse Ventura- the guy who said organized religion is a crutch and a scam for weak minded people. In other words, your proposal is completely absurd.

Ventura would make a good VP candidate for the Libertarian Party ticket, and that is practical because the LP hasn't held their convention yet. He's not libertarian enough to be at the head of the ticket, but his excellent positions on the War and Civil Liberties combined with his star power and speaking ability would probably make him acceptable for VP. The LP nominates the Pres and VP in separate votes (at least they used to) so the people you really need to be contacting are the Libertarian Party. This constant talk of contacting Paul's HQ is getting tired. Paul's HQ is pretty much irrelevant at this point. If we accomplish anything this year it is going to be through the Libertarian Party and whomever they nominate. We have to finish out the game on the GOP side and get Paul as many delegates as we can, but unless a miracle happens, Paul isn't going to win and won't be an option in November.

Regardless of personal feelings it is actually a more likely a scenario. Think of it like waves crashing on a beach. Surfers will count sets of waves to figure out which wave to ride. The waves of the rEVOLution have been crashing on the beach for the last year and RP has been hangin' ten the whole time. There will be more waves crashing on the beach this summer and if we catch the big wave at the convention all the way to November then great. But if not then we need to be prepared to move on, we need to catch the very next wave.

I reserve any comment on Ventura directly as I do not know enough about him. But i will say that it doesn't matter who plan-B is so long as they meet certain criteria. That would be,1) Ron Paul is their first choice and only running because it's not in the cards. 2) universal appeal. 3) financing threw November. 4) Ron Paul's grassroots support. and 5) irreproachable content.
