VICTORY IN OKLAHOMA’S 5TH DISTRICT!
Today in Oklahoma’s 5th congressional district, which includes Most of Oklahoma City, a coalition of Ron Paul and Traditional Conservative Republicans nearly swept the delegation electing Ron Paul Republicans to 5 out of the 6 possible delegate seats! The Neo-cons were on the ropes so bad that at one point they tried yet failed to suspend further voting once it became apparent that they were getting beaten and beaten badly. With all of the delegate selections for the congressional districts complete, Ron Paul republicans have managed to pick up almost half of the available delegate seats. If you are with the official Ron Paul campaign, and you are reading this message, you must convince Ron to come the Oklahoma State Republican Convention in May. His presence could swing the entire state delegation back to a constitutional conservative agenda! After the victory today, big time Republican Bosses and Candidates, who had previously made every attempt to sideline us, were coming up to us and saying how important it was to begin a reconciliation and to move forward on the conservative agenda. We could not agree more. It may be to late to get Ron elected president, but the national convention will select the Vice and if we have it packed full of Ron Paul Republicans we can send a forceful message to the Neo-Cons that they can’t keep marginalizing the conservative voters and platform and have any hope of winning in the future.
Ladies and Gentleman this is how we take back our party and our country one district and one state at a time. If you are an Oklahoma Conservative Ron Paul Republican…PLEASE contact your county chairman right now and request to be made a delegate to the state convention in Tulsa this May. Please call or write what is left of the HQ staff. RP should go as a guest speaker to the OK state convention and ALL of the other state conventions he can possibly GET to. They will probably (no matter how they feel about MCie LOVE to have a presidential candidate come and speak at any convention! I said this a month ago and I know it will do us so much good. Please write the campaign!!

Sorry for the lateness of this reply:( In the rest of the districts we have taken 13 of the possible 30 seats. There are 46 more at-large seats up for grabs at the state convention, this May 2nd and 3rd, and you can bet we in the Oklahoma meet-up groups have been burning the midnight oil to turn out the vote. We are inches away from taking back the Oklahoma Republican Party from the neo-cons!

It's been a busy week in Oklahoma. First they vote for sovereignty and now they've chosen Ron Paul in a major district.
People here have been looking for an area to move to. Oklahoma is sounding better every day.
I like it here...
Indian country... so a lot of us have a natural distrust of the government...lol.

I love hearing these stories! I am a Texas delegate myself, going to the state convention in June. At my SD convention over 40% of the crowd were RP supporters. In Texas we are thinking anywhere between 40% and 60% at the state convention will be RP delegates. We had plenty of harrowing battles here too. It is not over til it's over and there is still 4 months til the national convention. Anything can happen, so fight your hardest to pass the RP Platform as the state GOP platform. Hopefully one of the SDs in Oklahoma were good enough to get a vote of no confidence in for McCain, so you can vote on at state. If not, have someone go to the resolutions committee and try to get it on the resolutions list for a vote to send up to national. We have it on our Texas resolutions list already, thanks to come of the very strong RP delegates at the smaller SD conventions.
