Please Become A Delegate! BUT, If You Can't...Then Go to Your District/State Caucus to Vote for Delegates!!!
I am not a delegate, but my sister and I went to our Massachusetts Congressional District caucus yesterday, and OUR VOTES WERE KEY IN GETTING RON PAUL PEOPLE TO BECOME DELEGATES!!
Please...if you're not able to make the commitment to be a delegate and go to the Convention in September, fine...but it only takes a few hours for one day (the day of your state's District caucus) to go and listen to a few speeches, and VOTE for the people who speak highly of the Constitution, Ronald Reagan, smaller government, and fiscal responsibility. I thought there was going to be standing room only...but there were only 71 people in the room(not even half full)...WTF? About eight-or-so towns and small cities are in my district, but where were the people?
Also, learn about your local up-and-coming Senate and House Rep. candidates, because their supporters may be there and may have papers for you to sign to get those candidates on the ballot. I'm glad we did, because we were able to help a good guy (sounded just like a Ron Paul guy) get closer to becoming a Senator!
YOU HAVE TO BE REGISTERED AS A REPUBLICAN TO BE ADMITTED INTO THE CAUCUS TO VOTE !
So, please... it wasn't difficult or painful to go to the caucus to support and further the strength of our peaceful revolution...it was wonderful! We were able to vote for people who want to truly represent our cause! You can too! (check out your state's info. and compare it with the GOP's info., just in case one site has more information)

Way to Go!!
Anyone have plans for some organized display of support for Dr Paul in MN outside the convention?
That would be cool
Would be cool if a lot of people go to demonstrate outside the convention hall. Just hope that it is not like 2004 and have "free speech zones" though.
We did the same thing in Washington
I went to my caucus in King County. We elected several Ron Paul supporters to the state convention.
pack the house with RP votes.

Thank you for the great achievement.
Delegate election is the most important activity for this movement until the convention. Please, keep this thread and also other threads about delegates by Steve Parent up.

Question
At the senatorial convention in Texas, only the delegates were there to vote for the ones who go on to State. Could nondelegates have gone from our precincts and participated in the vote to vote who goes on????? No, that can't happen because we had to be delegates to go. So the only place it helps to go is at the precinct level.
Depends
Depends on the rules in your state I think. I know in Texas if you did not have a delegate badge you were not allowed inside the convention hall during session.
I'll be at the Convention.

California
is just a bizarre state. I and others here have tried to get info from our state about becoming a delegate, and we just keep hitting brick walls. I can't even get my local GOP office to return a simple phone call. I'd drive to the local office in my county to inquire in person, but -- there is NO address provided for our local office! Not even on the CA GOP county-breakdown website!
Apparently (and I do mean "apparently," as it is next to impossible to confirm this), having read the California GOP by-laws, it seems that all CA delegates and alternates are appointed by GOP leadership, rather than by allowing people to "run" for delegate seats; it all seems to be an inside job.
And here's a strange thing: CA's state GOP convention takes place after the Republican National Convention. As Scooby-Doo would say, "Brhuh??" What good would it do to somehow become a state delegate, when the state meeting is after the national convention??
If any fellow residents of the Golden State have actually figured out the process, would you kindly post it in its own thread, for all Californians to read?
Pack the house with RP votes.
good thinking
