Lets build a solar farm.
I know a piece of land in Southern Colorado, that is 40 acres for $25,000.
What if a bunch of people chipped in, we bought the land, build solar panels, or a solar farm, and refed that back into the grid, splitting the profits evenly. It is very profitable. There are rebates in the state of Colorado that would help.
The key is cheap land, and local electrical regulations, but where I'm talking about, someone has already done it, and they seem to be doing well.
If we funded systems like this all over the south, and in areas where the sun is most abundant, we could fund a larger revolution.
The same could be done for windfarms.
Sort of a grass roots funded for profit operation that put the money right back into the hands of the people who invest in it, eliminating the middle man.
We could unchain the shackles of big oil, big electric companies, and revolutionize the way we power America.
Electric cars could become common, if we had high power recharging stations, owned by the public.
We could reinvest our electric bills building a substainable alternative energy grid, that the big companies would have
to pay for, and give some of that money back to the people.
Investors could move some of their investments into solar and wind
companies, funding further research and development, and consequential growth.
Electricity, is everywhere. Why not harness it's power.
PS. I have all the licenses, and insurance to do the job.
I would need help though.

Your land has much more profit in using its natural resourses
That land could with about another 25,000 investment produce a gross of 43,000 per month with just the recourses there now. You could use that to do the other things people are talking about and you with your solar. There is a more efficient solar than the common silicon cells too. Plus there are other things when you talk about green energy. There are electric motors out there that produce 130% made now. So you can take the solar power and increase it by 30% using it with the motors. There are some that produce 110% too even this would be better than not all increase. There are so many things and potential out there I could go on and on.

It's not about profit.
It's about freedom from skyrocketing energy costs.
It's about using the land to produce for us, while making
it a nicer place.
Silicon is the most abundant resource on the planet.
Sand is Silica. Solar has a long way to develop,
but with the products and technology available now,
I would suggest it could set an example for the rest
of the country, and it could be funded by Ron Paul
supporters, maybe we could even get Ron Paul interested.
But I'm curious to hear your idea too. Please feel free to share.
Oops I said per month but
Oops I said per month but meant per day 43,000
Thanks

Great idea.
I read an article where the Chinese are starting to mass produce solar roof tiles for heating water and providing electricity to their homes.
A minimal
amount of the land could be set aside, to build greenhouses.
The produce could be sold at local markets, and the profit would
be also split up.
The water rights are 15gm per 5 acres, so there would be 120 gpm
of water available, which could be pumped by the system itself, into a large storage tank, making water available and plentiful on the land. Land adjacent to the area would then become more prone to development with the easily available power, and water.
Let me give an example
Say you invested in $1000 worth of land and solar.
Now, you may only produce $10 worth of electricity a month,
but a solar system produces for around 20 yrs or more, so
you get that $120 check a year, or $30 quarter.
But, you also have invested in the land, which will be more
valuable once a solar farm is built on it.
And as more and more are built, and more and more efficiency
is achieved, then you could build in more profits, yet offer ever
cheaper electricity,
There are other benefits too. It could be as small of an investment as $100 if there were enough people to do it, so the initial risk could remain small.
The land could be split up into equal shares, and people could buy parts of the shares in the land, and then their share amount would reflect on the amount received back from selling the power, minus maintenance, which is minimal.
There is money to be made in solar power, and it's beautifully quite and unobtrusive, unlike the wind farms. The key is, intitial investment in large projects that gives a return to their investors.

Now listen,
I have money projects starting every week. I am not going to be getting involved in this solar project for a month or two. People think I have unlimited funds. I don't. But I am interested in these kinds of projects.
I want to add this to the project list. We don't need a lot of people, but it would be nice for more and more to learn about free enterprise.
If we don't take the initiative we have only ourselves to blame. We have no excuses. The technology is there and it's just a matter of doing it.

Here you go
Check out this link..Look at the byproducts,I see potential in this.

When I see the potential this would be for any town, city, state. ect.
Hey Daddy . .
Have you ever heard of ammonia based fuel or energy. Appearantly it can be used in any fuel-fired combustion engine on the market today. It is a renewable and plentiful source which is natural and does not harm the atmosphere. I am trying to find out more about it. If it is real, that's what we need to invest in as well as gold and silver and of course RP.
Do you mean ammonia as in the gas from chicken manure?
Do you have any info links?

This is a May 2005 article at http://pesn.com/2005/05/2...
In 2004, ZAP signed an exclusive licensing and distribution contract with Apollo Energy Systems for its patented Alkaline Fuel Cell, Ammonia Cracker and Lead-Cobalt battery technologies as a partnership towards the development of ZAP CARS® powered by hydrogen fuel cells. ZAP CEO Steve Schneider said ZAP will work with Apollo on the creation of a prototype fuel cell vehicle using a Department-of-Transportation approved Smart Car. Schneider and Aronsson said the Smart Car powered by a 60 kW Apollo Fuel Cell, equipped with an 8.7 gallon Ammonia fuel tank will have a cruising range of up to 200 miles per refueling with zero emissions

Many of us use ammonia, which has been diluted in water for cleaning our homes; anhydrous ammonia is simply non-diluted. As a fuel, ammonia has several benefits as compared to pure hydrogen or other hydrogen carriers. Firstly, ammonia has supporting infrastructure due to its current use in the agricultural industry; its safety handling and transportation characteristics are well established. As a chemical with the second largest production volume globally, there is already a 2000-mile pipeline system for anhydrous ammonia in the United States and unlike hydrogen, ammonia is easily transported in tankers..
I really don't know much about it, I just know it's out there.
Thanks for the links.
