Electoral College

Remember, at the state conventions, you can select the republican electoral college representative.

This means that even if we don't get the nomination, if the state elector is a ron paul republican, and the republicans win in that state in the general, he will be casting the vote at the college for president! The electoral college was put in place by the founders exactly for this purpose, to prevent the people from electing a tyrant.

Thankfully, the Founders were well aware of human nature. Perhaps this is why there is a big push by some politicians to eliminate the College, what a mistake that would be!!
