The only "Man from Hope" is Ron Paul

Word is, Huckabee has hired 260 bloggers and is trying to capture the same internet success as Ron Paul. Therefore, I thought we should compare and contrast him to Ron. Along with articles such as the one about the global warming cap, here is another that should enlighten some.

Huckabee support has grew exponentially

I heard about this nonsense of Governor Huckabee hiring bloggers and had to come on down and chat. If you have been comparing your Dr. Paul's donations to that of the Governor's, you would know that the funds are not there for such an insane plot. Also, you would know that the Digg blog is not all that traveled. What you are seeing is an large increase of activists on the Huckabee grassroots.

I have been very supportive of Dr. Paul and have been very gracious with some of the very ugly comments by Paul supporters and have admonished Huckabee supporters for being the same with each other. Now this is over the edge. I hope that Dr. Paul has the Character that I have presumed him to have, to come out and debase this charge!

Dr. Paul's platform has a lot of great planks and has my respect for taking on this Beltway elite, which I too oppose and wish to overcome. I have chosen to support Mike Huckabee on one particular difference between Dr. Paul and Mike, that being the War on Terror. These people hate us because our western culture is running over their locked cultures, causing them havoc. Some say it is because we are overseas and influencing and bullying the world. It is not. It s the advent of Satellite Television that is permeating the world with western culture.

Yes, we are a bit on the sinful side as a people and this is all the more reason I support Mike Huckabee as his social conservative stand is on the rockbed.

We are in the same camp in reference to: Constitutionalism; doing away with the IRS , check out the fair tax plan); sealing the border; check out Mike's positions here: http://www.mikehuckabee.c...

Please retract this false charge or we will take it to the Media.

Mike is NOT Ron Paul

I do not believe Mike Huckabee to be evil. I believe him to be more politician than statesmen, and that is enough for me not to vote for him, issues aside, when someone like Paul is in the race. His support is growing yes, but to me, it's just like voting for anyone else who is not Paul.

I disagree with Paul on many views, but I will vote for him because he is both sincere and honest. He's been saying exactly the same thing for 30 years, and that means something to me. Someone could promise me everything that I want to hear, but It does not matter what someone says if I do not believe them to be honest.

An answer that no one who is pro-war wants to talk about is "Where is the money going to come from, and who will fight?" Our armed forces is strained, veteran suicides up 200%, and fewer enlistments since 2004. Who will pay the bills for this war in this era of deficit spending? We will have to borrow it from CHINA or keep printing it up, inflating our currency more. Will you send your sons and daughters to die for this, and will people who are pro-war pick up the tab? There is a draft coming if our soldiers do not get real relief, and I'm tired of being told that if I'm against the war, I'm against the soldiers, or weak on national defense. How are our borders WIDE OPEN here due to the National Guard being in Iraq, and we yet we're "safer"?

There are some mental gymnastics to get from point A to point B on that one.

Huckabee "hired" bloggers

You said "word is" that Huckabee has hired bloggers. Where did you get that "word"? Before spreading stuff like that, facts are needed..

You do know..

That we can tell that you're the same guy, right? How old your account is is sort of a giveaway.

Guess who

..has the highest-paid campaign manager (GOP candidates)--Huckabee! http://marcambinder.theat...
"The politicians

The best don't come cheap.

The best don't come cheap.

Makes Sense

I thought something was up with the sudden deluge of Huckabee posts over on Digg. The guy went from virtually zero to blanket coverage posts... too bad not many of them are getting many "diggs".

The real reason for digg posts

As a Huckabee supporter, I'll explain why Huckabee posts have increased so much on Digg. In the comments section on the blog at mikehuckabee.com, Huckabee supporters who use Digg posted comments explaining how to digg up articles on Huckabee as a way to support our candidate and get information out about him. People who didn't use Digg before have now started doing that. Plain and simple, no sinister motives needed.

Attn: Freedom for hire

Even though most of Huckabee's bloggers probably support him, the very notion that he has to PAY them contrasts starkly against RPs tens if not hundreds (or even thousands) of regular bloggers. I wonder what the pay is like?

Trying to find proof of this..

I've been trying to find proof of this because I can't be sure he said they WERE paid but it sounded strange that he would even know how many were going to start blogging.

"trying to find proof"

Sure you are. Why is it so strange to know how many bloggers are on a blogroll? The list is ever changing and growing. All 260 (or whatever it has grown to today) did not "start blogging" at the same time and the campaign has no control over what any of them blog.

So, one more time ... where is your resource for this information that Huckabee "pays" his bloggers? Or are you stammering now about not being able to recall the proof or what was said because you have been caught in a LIE?

How does the campaign know...

I'm a Huckabee supporter and I am not a blogger, but if my memory serves me correctly the campaign website asked bloggers who were blogging for Huckabee to let them know and they would include their blogs in a bloglist on the mikehuckabee.com site. So the bloggers gave their information to the campaign to be posted. So I can go to the mikehuckabee.com website under blog and read the campaign's blog and then click on other blogs in the bloglist. It's been great and it is how I have found my favorite blogs. The information is there just because bloggers gave it to the campaign to post on the site. Hope that helps!

Funny

It's funny how little these people seem to understand what's going on. Bloggers are not behind Ron Paul's success. The internet is not behind Ron Paul's success. The reason for his success is that the message of liberty has resonance. The harmonics of peace have power. And Ron Paul has a 30 year record of consistency. The blogs and the internet are simply the conductive medium, not the cause.

Mike Huckabee can hire bloggers until the sun comes home. He's trying to light a campaign with wires but no generator.

What A Joke

He had to hire them ? Is he going to hire people to make signs and march through the streets too ? How much do a thousand meetup groups go for ?

Notifying fox on this now!

I am one of those bloggers who when time is free, I go on and checkout the osts. I am far from a hirling, as I am a country boy in mid michigan and poor poor poor. I think the issue here is the Truth being soken by the Huckabee supporters, sorr for that neeidng someone to concock a tory. It sort of is a slap to Dr. Paul to be carryingon this way. Better check with him pretty fast as Fox is about to get this lead. HMMMM!

Faulty logic

Just because you yourself are not paid, does not necessarily mean others are not paid, though advertising or other means. I'm not saying this is true, just that your logic is off.

A trillion dollars and ....

a key to freedom.

Well..

I wish I could find where I read it, but I did get the impression these people were 'arranged' for.

I mean after all, if you were to ask Ron's campaign how many bloggers are out there for him, would they know? So the fact they said 'we have 260 bloggers starting next week' or something, made me know they have enlisted these folks, paid or not.

I will try to find the article....

Credible?

Jane Aitken,

Word is,

Whose word?

I wish I could find where I read it...

Me, too.

...but I did get the impression these people were 'arranged' for.

Impression?

So the fact they said

Who are "they"?

'we have 260 bloggers starting next week' or something,

Or something???

made me know

Know???

they have enlisted these folks, paid or not.

So now they may not be paid, hm?

I will try to find the article...

I'm not holding my breath!

This is the first time I've stopped by dailypaul.com. Up until now, I've had a lot of respect for Dr. Paul, even though I disagree with his position on the Iraq War. I sincerely hope that this kind of baseless innuendo is an aberration and not typical of the posts on this blog.

I can assure you that the bloggers listed at mikehuckabee.com didn't just spring up over night. In fact, the top blog on the list was founded on February 14, 2005, almost two years before Governor Huckabee announced his candidacy.

Ronald Reagan's 11th Commandment was "Thou Shalt Not Speak Ill of A Fellow Republican." We can disagree on the issues or the candidates' qualifications, and a healthy debate is a useful part of the nominating process. But let's not make things up or swallow a story without checking it out; we're better than that.

FYI

This web site is a grassroots website, and has nothing directly to do with Paul's campaign. Paul is such a statesmen that even if he knew this to be true, he wouldn't smear Huckabee with it. As it stands, I don't think this is true, but I don't see how you should turn this into something against Paul himself.

Thanks for clearing this up...

... but ultimately, each candidate is known by the supporters he attracts.

It's unfortunate, but Dr. Paul seems to be attracting an inordinate number of neo-nazis and white supremists.

I say unfortunate, because it detracts from Dr. Paul's message and makes him appear beholden to such groups or the money they contribute.

Obviously, I'm not saying he is beholden to these groups, nor am I implying that Jane Aitken is either a neo-nazi or a white supremist. But as a Huckabee supporter, I'm constantly aware that anything I write in support of him will reflect on his candidacy, so it better be accurate, well documented, and representative of his views.

I wonder what those 260 will think about...

http://www.taxhikemike.or...

(Yes, I'm shameless at this point -- that URL's gonna be on Huckabee for the rest of this election like white on rice!)
JMR

Honestly...

Don't people understand that this is not something one can 'orchestrate'? Least of all a busy person like Ron? This is his support, it just IS! Like matter, it can't be created or destroyed! :-)

Bloggers

I really honestly think that other candidates think that somehow Dr Paul has created some "internet strategy". One radio show host suggested that Dr Paul start telling the other candidates that he "cracked the code" on the internet, so that he can really scare them.

.

I just think this is funny as Ron Could inspire 260 more people to write blogs for him by just asking.

if Ron Paul asked for bloggers

more like 26,000 would be at their keyboards pounding away

and the other 26,000 that would

inspire 6,760,000 more to donate to to the RonPaulution* between increments of $10-$100.

*Polluting nationwide spread of MSM locally-ran and network-agency news.
WHICH WOULD FURTHER PROVE HE CRACKED THE CODE OF THE INTERNET
