I know this is off topic so I will not be at all offended if this is ignored or flagged.
It's my personal opinion that electing Ron Paul president is far more important than even the most enthusiastic Paul supporter realizes. I could be wrong of course, but it's just my opinion. I believe that whoever is elected in 2008 will have immense challenges that will increase drastically as each month and year passes. Only Paul is capable of handling these challenges.
The reason I put December 21, 2012 in the subject line is because even if this date does not turn out to be as traumatic as some people speculate, human nature will ensure that some things DO change to make it at least somewhat of a notable date in history. Sort of like the Y2K event. People paid a premium for generators and certain foods even though they didn't need to.
There are many sources that predict terrible times ahead, and quite a few that preidct this date in particular. The reason this is important now is because whoever is elected president in 2008 will preside over this date. And even assuming if nothing happens, the closer we get to this date, the greater the likelihood of things like bank runs, food shortages, etc. Should this date prove to be uneventful, the things people could do leading up to it might very well put this next president into a VERY unique position. Suspending the constitution might very well be the LAST thing people are worried about.
Just my thoughts on this matter. I just think the perception and panic tendencies of some people could force some interesting choices when that date gets close and therefore will require even more the need for a truly Constitutional president like Ron Paul.

If you pay attention to such things, the significance of the year 2012 goes hand in hand with moving into a new age. The Age of Aquarius. Jesus was the one to announce the Age of Aquarius:
"a man will meet you carrying an earthen pitcher of
water; follow him into the house where he goes in"
(Luke 22:10; Mark 14:13.)
Aquarius is the water bearer. For those who understand the Bible in conjunction with astrology, the coming of the water bearer is not insignificant. We are moving into the 4th dimension and our old 3D constructs are fading. The veil is being lifted. It is an exciting time to be alive. Also recognized that with all the dark things in the world, there are also equally many proactive positive thing happening. The Ron Paul movement is indeed a reflection of that. I have attached an article which I believe sums up how to best effect the masses during the transition to a more awakened state. We must lead by example, for it is in fact true that we are the ones we’ve been waiting for.

People Who Don’t Get It
Compassion for All
You may be someone who understands the true nature of reality, perceiving deeply that we all emanate from the same source, that we are all essentially one, and that we are here on Earth to love one another. To understand this is to be awakened to the true nature of the self, and this understanding is a blessing. Nevertheless, people who just do not get it are seemingly everywhere and, often, occupy positions of power. It can be frustrating and painful to watch them behave unconsciously.
We all encounter individuals such as this in our families, at work, and in all areas of public life. It is easy to find ourselves feeling intolerant of these people, wishing we could be free of them even though we know that separation from them is an illusion.
It helps sometimes to think of us all as different parts of one psyche. Within our own hearts and minds we have dark places that need healing, just as the heart and mind of the world have their dark places. The health of the whole organism depends upon the relative health of the individuals within it. We increase harmony when we hold on to the light, not allowing it to be clouded by judgment, anger, and fear about those who behave unconsciously. It is easier to accomplish this if we don’t focus on the negative qualities of individuals and instead on how increasing our own light will increase that of the overall picture.
When dealing with people who seem very unconscious, it helps to remember that everyone must find their own way to awakening, and that the experiences they are having are an essential part of their process. Holding them in the glow of our energy may be the best way to awaken theirs. At the same time, we are inspired by their example to look within and shed light on our own unconscious places, sacrificing the urge to judge and surrendering instead to humble self-inquiry.
It is almost midnight here
on the west coast here, so it has to be really late for you guys to the midwest and the east. The bottom line, even though we have a hundred explanations of what is "really going on", for some reason it will be an ever changing story line, and we are all in it together, which makes it fun. Untill tomorrow, we are in this together, let us see where tomorrow takes us.

A Bosnian man whose home has been hit an incredible five times by meteorites believes he is being targeted by aliens.
Experts at Belgrade University have confirmed that all the rocks Radivoje Lajic has handed over were meteorites.
They are now investigating local magnetic fields to try and work out what makes the property so attractive to the heavenly bodies.
But Mr Lajic, who has had a steel girder reinforced roof put on the house he owns in the northern village of Gornja Lamovite, has an alternative explanation.
He said: "I am obviously being targeted by extraterrestrials. I don't know what I have done to annoy them but there is no other explanation that makes sense. The chance of being hit by a meteorite is so small that getting hit five times has to be deliberate."
The first meteorite fell on his house in November last year and since then a further four have smashed into his home. The strikes always happen when it is raining heavily, never when there are clear skies.
He said: "I did not know what the strange-looking stones were at first but I have since had them all confirmed as meteorites by experts at Belgrade University.
"I am being targeted by aliens. They are playing games with me. I don't know why they are doing this. When it rains I can't sleep for worrying about another strike."

on anything other than how to waste billions of dollars with nothing to show for it except a crapload of space junk floating around in outer space and people wearing diapers. I've found out more about Mars from my $25 telescope...
I used to do research on them and the waste and money spent is just mind-boggling. (teflon and memory foam could have been invented here for a lot less) The first chimpanzees and dogs sent off into space were "rewarded" by being sent to cages in vivisection labs while the astronauts were lauded as "heros." Yet another wasteful romanticized zillion $$$ program that could easily be shut down with no one missing a thing.

I think he has a workable theory, sorta.. he just has the timeline all wrong. He also likes leaving things out to support his theory... It is a classic mistake that most historians make to think that the first civilizations were a mere 6-7 thousand years ago. The Hopi tell that they were just re-emerging from killing themselves into barbarianism the time before. Nope, you need to go back further... look at some of the early Persian religions... they give some clues.
How long did it actually take people to go from a base society to our current tech level? 700 years or so? Yet everyone just doesn't think of that whole 20,000 year period 14,000 years ago where supposedly nothing happened...lol

December 12, 2012 is just a day in the year
There is no way to determine the date of Christ's coming. Jesus said only the Heavenly Father knew the exact day. Our job as believers - followers of Christ - is to "occupy til I come" - Luke 19:13 (KJV). Let us pray for great servant leaders to be elected, wisdom to know who they are, and work as hard as we can for those great servant leaders who the Lord reveals when they seek election.

Before you start posting, a little research might profit you. You can start with Carl Josef Calleman's The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness. It is probably the best book on the subject.
We are, according to the Mayan Calendar, just now in the 5th night, a period that will last another 3 years, leading up to 2012. Calleman is not alone in his interpretation - lots of people are saying that we (all of us) are heading into a very rocky time that will culminate in 2011.
After that.. who knows? I think we'll be fine eventually.

One thing I'd like to add to this that is different from all other doomsday predictions. Y2k and the like were all a count down to the zero hour with a calm before the storm. When the clock strikes midnight or that magic hour then the truth will be revealed!!! Well unlike though story's and predictions. Planet X is happening right now, if at all. There is no instant gratification no countdown to zero hour. Well there is, but not one that will matter if Planet X is happening. There will be no calm before the storm and if there is then this is it. Long before 12/12/12 the truth about Planet X will/should already be revealed with turbulent planetary changes which would begin well before 2012 and most likely only peeking when the 2012 zero hour occurs. If Planet X is happening we'll all have at least a year to panic together and say our "I told you so's". lol

Long ago a woman named Nancy Lieder said that Planet X would pass near enough to earth to cause a variety of cosmic disturbances, likely to end life on earth. She even set a date: May 2003. I heard her on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory and she was quite insistent. Never happened, obviously.
However, other scientists have come forward and have said, yes there is a Planet X, but it's so far out that it poses no risk.
And yes, Y2K was a big fizzle. You may remember Gary North, who also appeared on the Art Bell show. Gary had moved to the moutains, had his own source of power, water, and lots of food. Obviously, that was another fizzle.
But I think the Mayan calendar stuff has merit. If you read the Calleman book, he makes a good and strong case for it's validity.
Planet X?
I'm still waiting to see some convincing evidence for the existence of this "Planet X". Or is this like the alien spaceship that was supposedly coming to earth in the tail of Comet Hale-Bopp?

Every heavenly body in space has a perturber or is a perturber. This is the amount of gravity one mass inflicts on another mass in space. This has be calculated by more than a few mathematicians. It was once thought that Pluto was Neptune's perturber however Pluto does not have the mass to be Neptune's perturber. It is now thought that what ever perturbs Neptune is larger than Jupiter. It is commonly thought that if Jupiter were much larger it could ignite and become a sun. Neptune perturber was calculated to be 50 billion miles away early on. More recently it has been calculated to be 7 billion miles away. Provided the math was done correctly on both occasions this would indicate that a perturber of Neptune that is bigger than Jupiter is coming toward earth or more specifically our sun.
If you look at the shear number of star systems and compare the number of binary star systems to systems like our own which have but one sun you will realize how unique this system is. It's so unique in fact that it is highly unlikely.

How did she come up with 2003? If she was only saying the planetary changes would begin in 2003, or that people will begin to awaken, i could swallow that. But if she said the D-day was in 2003, then we would have known about for some time prior.

These thoughts are almost exactly what I want
To be learning in school .... at work ... with friends ..... everyday experiences and how they are relevant to our minds and the pople , things , and ideas around us and within our our bodies ....
A very real perspective starts to arise when u put some time of religioun or god beside it .... at almost starts to compair and actually , does compair in my mind , the truth of the universe starts from within our own soul .......
God is equally powerfull and uqually as "good" as everything and anything YET still a totall SEPERATE entitety ..... its amazing .... I am finding new and amazing discoveries everywhere and anywhere ......
sometimes i mushroom trip to see the visual effects of my thoughts and paradigm shifts ...... but daily i smoke weed to calm my nerves and find my right mindstate to give peace and love to all creatures and show respect to all things ....

This is what everyone needs to hear. It is a choice we each individually make to wake up. Many if not most will choose not to awaken because of free will. Freedom, love and peace lies within each of us. It is US who will overcome evil and we will be the winners. God is the best schemer. What a magnificent time to be alive!!

If I'm not mistaken
We are already in the age of Aquarius - again. It has happened many times before and the only thing that changes is the constellation position in the sky. The rising and setting of constellations only has an effect on symbolism and storytelling - Like the "sun" rising out of Virgo "virgin" in December is the reason all the religious god-men of northern-hemisphere religions of that astrological age were born of virgins during the winter solstice.
The earth is not
going to be destroyed by planet alignments or nuclear war or planet-x. Yahweh will put an end to this mess when the time is right and I look forward to that. And he doesn't need mans help either or any scientific proof of how He will accomplish it for that matter.
