In praise of HQ
I have had the opportunity to deal with many supporters, and find that even the very most dedicated often do not understand what "grassroots" really means. I have been busting my hump to get things done, and have been inefficient, ineffective, and sometimes downright stupid. I have waited hopefully for others to "get" what I "get" only to be disappointed beyond words. Enthusiastic crowds to wave signs, no one to make calls or canvass. I think about the little thing on the ronpaul2008 site "Help Ron Paul get 150,000 Precinct Leaders." I understand now how he waited for people to "get it" and probably nearly broke his heart to realize that maybe only 20,000 of us have figured it out, still.
I have heard accusations of sabotage, infighting, etc. I believe most, if not all of this talk is nonsense. My tiny little effort garnered me this "honor:" One supporter informed me that when martial law is declared, it will be MY fault. Yes, me. Would any of you like my autograph? Apparently I am quite a powerful person.
The people who have poured heart and soul into this effort deserve credit rather than constant nit-picking. It is not THEIR fault that most of US did not, and apparently still do not (although this group is likely the exception,) "get it."

Nothing against that young man who knows what's going on
and still didn't vote for Paul nor registered as precinct leader for RP, but that's what I call a sheep!
I hope your daughter made him that clear!
My daughter was talking to a young man
the other day and they got on the topic of Ron Paul.He was
impressed that she knew about
the CFR and all the things going on in this country as he did.She
asked him if he voted for Paul
and he said"no,I voted for Obama,Paul can't win"!! Even when people get it,they still don't get it!
Political Interest is Cyclical
I hated politics in the 1970's and did my best to ignore it for the next 2 decades.
Then I figured out that ignoring doesn't work. They will intrude on your life, actually coming into your home and property.
So then, I started my libertarian activism. That was an uphill battle (stabbing at their legs). By the time Ron Paul came along, it was clear to me that here was a great oportunity.
Convincing others is hard to do if they have not yet gotten fed up with government or still believe they can ignore it, let alone if they expect it to fix our problems, as if a law was a magic wand.
However, as we've seen, a small percentage get it. The key is to reach out to the public until you locate that small percentage and plug them in to the revolution. They'll be very glad you found them.

Nice post
Thank you.
Seems there's various degrees of RP supporters. A lot have woken up, but not so many have actually dared to "put on the boots".
(I'm glad I've found out whose fault it is. It lets me off the hook. ;)
People don't "get it" and don't
want to hear it! I had a conversation about the REAL ID with a friend, and I explained WHY I will not get an enhanced driver's license or passport in order to visit Canada and Mexico, or fly on an airline OR go to a Federal building. I also explained WHY I will work hard to get my state to resist the REAL ID act, and why, if enough folks wake up, we can get congress to back off.
I basically got told that I shouldn't read about things like this, and that is why I have high blood pressure! So----then I said I actually watched Chertoff on C-Span announcing the restrictions to take into effect May, 2008, and it WAS the truth, and some of the states are fighting it now.
So then my friend said she didn't want to hear about it, she would rather not know-------
So I guess from now on I can visit about the weather, or sports, or ???
Keep up the good fight!
I understand where you are coming from. There are always those who choose to blame others for their shortcomings - so what. We will never give up the fight. We ARE making a difference.
Please do not let them bring you down to their level. Stay positive. Follow Dr. Paul's way of dealing with adversity. Those people that are placing the "blame" of anything on HQ or you are the same folks that will give up on the Revolution. We don't need attitudes like that anyway.
Remember even Jesus had Judas.
God will help us through this and the Revolution will win in the end. Be patient. We are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Why do you think the GOP is nervous? We are making headway and changing the status quo. What an awesome feeling!
Thanksfor all your hard work and remember it is never worth just winning, you have to fail a few times before you are victorious. That is what makes the winning so sweet!
