In the halls of the Federal Government

In the halls of the Federal Government there is but one plain-spoken statesman who is speaking out against all aggressive "wars" and imperial intervention. Whilst the capitulant, complicit Democrats in Congress (including Clinton and Obama) scarcely and feebly "protest" the "war," one Representative, the Honorable Ron Paul of Texas (R), takes the bull by the horns and unforgivingly asks the difficult questions of the neocon warmongers that many Americans who oppose "the war" (some 2/3 of the American people) would ask. They are largely simple and sober questions. Yet the warlords anointed to engineer the chaos in Iraq/n who dishonor the uniforms they wear (i.e. one General David H. Petraeus) cannot or will not give direct and honest answers.

Our country is devolving into a surrogate military dictatorship before our eyes. But, only if we choose to, we can take back our Constitutional Republic from the blood-thirsty vampires who seek to suck the life out of a once-great nation and wage interminable war upon the good people of America and innocent civilians around the world.

Questions for the General

Though I commend you for watching, your discouragement is born out of shallow thinking on strategy. The good congressman had but 5 minutes, and, not being allowed to enter the record with such damning questions when off the clock, and seeing the inevitability of the 'Broadway show under way', choose again with the brilliance he is known for in debate, to set the record first of all with rhetorical questions which can both enlighten the ignorant, as well as condemn the perfidious actors on the stage, along with their handlers.
Following this tactic he asks the question so loaded with truth, again the poison pawn of chess which they could not accept and answer, instead having to 'cop out' intellectually, thereby allowing Dr. Paul to slam home the checkmate of logic... the obvious crime of treason to the constitution, the 'king's new clothes' exposed!
They are undone and revealed as the puppets they are, and their well known 'chain of command' of perfidious handlers are undressed along with them!
It was, if not the best, then certainly a brilliant strategy, which will testify for congressman Paul's patriotism and defense, but these neocon's prosecution, in that great day of accounting which is sure to come.
Dr. Paul has in no way hurt, and in every way helped, the revolution, towards return to the rule of law. It is for us to run with the impetus given, and in running some will run tactically and some need charge the hill straight on!
For my part I am examining the congressional race in my district... it will take a little longer to assess the possibilities.

Kicking ass once again

Feels good to have a president like that for the first time in American modern history. It doesn't matter why they select, Ron is my president.

Dr. Paul interferes with what would otherwise be their

P.R. event and their opportunity to prepare the stage for a "war on terrorism" with Iran.

Great Question

And to think the Democrats rejected this man and the Republicans rejected Ron Paul. When you get more war, more inflation and higher taxes, don't blame these men and their supporters.

Peace

Love it

Did you see the look on their faces? Like, oh no, not questions from Ron Paul, I might look like completely stupid! Just like the look on McCain's face when Dr. Paul questioned him about the president's financial working groups!

Ron Paul trumps General Petraeus! Libera me, let the truth break, what my fears make--Leslie Phillips

Face!!1

Ron Paul just owned him. Great Job! It's nice to see his passion come out

Nice

It gives me no greater pleasure then to see those a$$holes squirm in their chairs. It's just kind of scary that without Ron Paul, and maybe a few others(like Kucinich), who would be asking these important questions. Is there anyone else out there that gives a flying fu$k about us?

Dennis K..

Dont you love

to see these bastards squirm. GO RON GO.

Ooooo..

.. thank you. I've been waiting for a link to this all day.

=)

When Ron Paul Delegates Take Over The RNC...

The media will go beserk...good. "The popular vote," my a$$. The primaries and caucuses were rigged...Ron Paul has alot more support than insane McCain, and it's starting to show at the local level.

Thank God, we do not live in a democracy.

The delegate system will prove the elections were a fraud.

Then they will say that we

Then they will say that we cheated somehow, or they will just change the rules again.

We pray that the people of Iran will be kept from these murdering bastards that are running our nation.

We are not only crying out for your peace Iran, we are also crying out for our own peace from these same war mongering tyrants here in the USA.
We want them brought to trial for crimes against humanity and punished according to the full exent of the law.

Woulda coulda shoulda....

Putting on my Monday morning quarterback jersey, there's one question I really wish Ron had asked the general: "In the U.S. military, especially in the wake of the Nuremberg Trials that firmly established 'just following orders' as a non-excuse, officers have the responsibility to refuse illegal orders from their superiors. Given your position and that responsibility, what do you believe would constitute an illegal order from the Commander in Chief? In particular, would a clear violation of the plain language of the U.S. Constitution regarding the declaration of war be illegal for the President?"

Obama, McCain, and Clinton are now in Dickipedia

Finally, they all deserve it. Read each of their entries and then you will know how to counter an obama, a mccain, and a hillary supporter with ease.

It's no suprise that Dr. Paul isn't there.

Question: Please describe in

Question: Please describe in detail the evidence that Iraq attacked the US.

Question: What have been and what do you foresee as unintended consequences of this war for the US?

Question: Please describe victory in Iraq, and does the military have a clearly defined mission?

Question: Is Iraq a police action or nation building, or do you believe the Iraqis would have rowed over in their canoe and destroyed us if we did nothing?

Question: Do you think Jesus would have been a good fighter pilot?

Question: After guns are administered to the Iraqis, how many of those guns then were involved in killing an American Soldier?

Question: Since our brave soldiers swear to uphold the constitution, do you feel the administration should be held to the same standards and not usurp their constitutional powers?

Come on Dr. Paul! Quick jabbing questions and make him answer! sigh.

Very good - too bad Bush has lied to all those questions already

I just posted this over at Daily Dose...

That video was really discouraging to me, and I know you guys probably don't want to hear the content of my post, but I guess I'm posting it here hoping for someone to refute me and give me some hope back...

- - - - 8< - - - -

I'm sorry, but this was a complete and utter wasted opportunity on the good Doctor's part. This video made me sad and frustrated, and I feel it perfectly illustrates Ron's achilles heel in this election. He spends all of his time trying to get his point across but he never really MAKES a point. We the supporters agree with him and say things like "He won" but the general public just shakes their head and mistakes his passion for "kookiness."

This was a hearing about IRAQ! He asks all these critically important questions ABOUT IRAQ then says "There's no time for answers to those, so how about Iran?" WHAT!?

I think I'm finally starting to accept that Ron was never in this to win the Presidency, He was in it to get his message across (Which he has done extremely well at, granted).

I've always wondered why so many people dropped off the bandwagon so quickly after the primaries and such. I don't think it's because they didn't think he could win, I think it's that they realized that Ron himself didn't think he could. Truly depressing.

I think he did a great job

& ended it with the most important question about Iran, & they weaseled out.

BTW, Having only 5 minutes is a joke.

His point

Was they were in Iraq without it being declared a war, and they do not believe they need the approval of Congress to invade Iran either. This is totally unconstitional, and will be recorded to be refered back to if that decision is taken. He wanted to catch them off guard, and he did. What more is left to discuss about Iraq that he has not already said, It was a mistake in the first place, done under false pretenses, and the only thing to do is come back home. The only thing depressing is how convoluted it is when the Military doesn't know or say where it gets it directives from in regards to invasions.

Ron Paul

Ron Paul is the best!!! And he's getting better all the time. http://www.youtube.com/wa... ..

Why wasn't Admiral Fallon testifying?

Doesn't Congress have the power to let him speak his mind?

He was Petreaus boss for crying out loud.

Awesome.

Even the very conservative voice of Congressman Forbes asked simply, "Is it worth it to pay $658 Billion when people can't even afford gasoline?"

Great question. And of course, no answer worth mentioning.

Helping to Restore the Republic.

That was great

& made too much sense for the shell game crew.

ron paul...

wow! - way to go doc! your question was simple and THE most important question that could be asked.

Did you try C-Span? I think the video is long, but you could skip through to the part with Ron Paul. Yesterday somebody had posted the actual time to forward to - unfortunately I can't remember :-(

Thanks

I will give that a shot.

Hey, Freedom1776. How would you like to ...

Produce the biggest boost to the campaign since the creation of the money bomb and the HIGH TIDE commercial? At the same time, you'll:
o Settle the score with a leading media hypocrite
o Expose the Globalist billionaire who owns the leading media hypocrite
o Put the mainstream media on notice, we are a force to be reckoned with, not trifled with
o Demonstrate to the mainstream media we now have powers that may be equal to, if not superior to theirs

Can I help?

Because the American people need to be made to understand that when the military no longer answers to Congress we're royally screwed.

This is why the Iraq war is going the way it is...

Apparently asking the Commander of the military forces in Iraq whether or he has the authority to continue operations there without the approval of Congress is too difficult to answer.

If you don't understand the chain of command, you don't belong anywhere in it. For General Petraeus to not answer the final question Dr. Paul posed the way he ought to have answered that question (no, as Dr. Paul indicated) is tantamount to treason. When our military feels they only have to answer to one man who has declared himself dictator instead of Congress as he IS F'ING SWORN TO is an absolute disgrace at the very minimum.

I'm disgusted now.

There was also a obvious point

made by Dr. Paul, of putting it "on the record", I couldn't help think, yes, for future refference. Also, did I hear one of these guys correctly that "my job is Iraq", like different countries are different jobs, and different rules apply. Will watch it again but I think I heard that. Maybe that future reference will be to charge these two military "leaders" with something down the line.

this is why...

... you got that right jeff..."tantatmount to treason" - damn right!

Watching Petraeus answer to Dr. Paul was really moving.

Honestly, when the military doesn't feel obligated to obey the directives of Congress we are in deep, deep, deep shit.

This is not a brand new mindset

though, as I think it has happened as far back as Panama, right? They have not been getting their directives from Congress, unfortunately, for some time now.

Actually, I'm certain that some military commanders...

...haven't always obeyed the Constitution for quite some time. But, it's usually hidden from public view. For a commander of Petraeus' responsibilities to basically tell Congress that he doesn't feel the need to answer to them in public is beyond absurd, and the fact that there's not a public outcry about it, IMMEDIATELY, is mindboggling.

General Petraeus told Congressman Paul that he didn't feel it was his responsibility to answer to Congress for his continued actions in Iraq. What's next? An invasion & occupation of WA or MT because the Republican party there isn't in line with what the neo-cons want? And if Petraeus doesn't feel he has to answer, and there's no consequences...what do you think the other Generals might be inclined to do?

You are right about it being so blantant now

but what is the most shocking part, is that there probably be little reaction from the public about it. I wonder if most people even realize the role of Congress, and the difference in invasions versus declared wars. People seem to be numb, too many TV show, movies, nintendo games, desensitized to the reality of what war is.

The public at large doesn't understnad the chain of command

We don't teach it in school, and honestly, many in the military only believe it's lip service given to regulations when they state that they know they aren't to follow orders which are not lawful.

It's scary to have to educate people that the military is supposed to answer untimately to Congress.

Your absolutely right

The answer made it very clear to me that they are planning to go right in. Maybe just cause an incident and start bombing. They are playing a dangerous game with Russia who seems to remain very standoff-ish with Bush on his last mission to size them up. I know that these countrys are aware of our "bull in a china shop" approach to fixing the world and they would be foolish to not have something planned as a response to an illegal and immoral attack. At the same time violating the laws created by the people for the people. We must hold these men accountable for the flagrant violations of our Constitution. This country has clearly descended into rule by the few and the rich. We cannot tolerate this any longer! I'm as tired as I can be of paying unfair taxes, watching fellow Americans lose their jobs, watching our morality as a nation slip into history and listen to god forsaken speeches full of words like "good, evil, just, democracy" It's all bullshit. You can't label whole countries as "evil". These are very one directional words, I've had it with this. I am 100% sure they will attack Iran and I'm 100% sure it will be an unconstitutional undeclared wandering war. I've had, I have no more patience for this quest for a union of evil democracies who kill and maim when someone doesn't want to join their party. If we can't control one government, how could we control a union. Especially if their sitting over in Dubai with their buddies.
