MARCHING ORDERS: Quicken The Pace
“ Chaos---- where brilliant dreams are born “
-The I CHING , 8th Cent. BC
Many have felt discouraged by the directionless wanderings of this Movement in recent weeks. As for me, I dream opportunities will continue to unfold.
Here is one current example, Jesse Ventura has now joined the fray as a potentially very strong ally to help popularize many of the themes of the rEVOLution. ( It’s not really accurate to suggest he’s new to the cause: he’s hardly a copycat or Johnny-come-lately. Here’s a clip before Jesse was silenced for 3 yrs:

Or here BEFORE Ron Paul even formed his exploratory committee:

At the same time that Dr. Paul's Revolution Manifesto hits the bookshelves, Jesse Ventura comes out on tour with his book Don’t Start the Revolution Without Me. ( If you are looking for personal marching orders – why won’t that do ? ) Is it just a happy coincidence that his turf is the situs for the Convention in September or that his constituency is the very reachable demographic not yet sufficiently penetrated by this Movement ? His aggressive communication skills are largely what most have lamented was lacking in the rEVOLution. For those put off by confrontation, ask yourselves where would George Washington’s revolution have been without the firebrands Sam Adams and Patrick Henry ? Actually, the indispensable ( but not universally regarded ) Thomas Paine might be perhaps a more apt comparison. See http://www.dailypaul.com/...
Sometimes Ron Paul rambles and pussy-foots like he did with Bernanke last week dancing to avoid using the “F” word to describe the parade of horribles mustered by our nation’s elites to overwhelm the masses ……. goosestepping us into repeating the worst totalitarian, collectivist models of the last century. Ron Paul is always smart and forthright, but rarely blunt. Maybe that’s the way he needs to be to introduce such topics into the polite society clinging to their mainstream orthodoxies. But now that the foot is in the door maybe its time to barge into the matrix of conventional thinking. Oh yes, every once-in-awhile Dr. Paul does cut to the quick. He announced with strategic deliberateness: " I am the Champion of the Constitution. "; And remember," We just marched in, we can just march out". Speaking of troop movements, in the heat of battle he proudly retorts: " I take my marching orders from the Constitution ". Certainly, as a spokesman, Ron Paul is always on Message, and never inconsistent. Don’t get me wrong, as the original and current leader of this Movement, he has done an excellent job setting the parameters for this rEVOLution and who can deny his conspicuous integrity has raise the standard high. With his help, the rEVOLution can stay on track. With our help, there can be steady progress through Ron Paul, and through an expanding base of leaders, to get the Message out. By all means, our Mission is to continue to focus and discover each other. In doing this we must respond to the reality around us. The challenge is not just to get a vote out, however…..I believe it is about getting minds right.
While we might not win this election, and its first phase is now over “ in the conventional sense “, we are not bound to be conventional…..and then again, we can be when it suits our purposes.
The strategy for guerrilla tactics in lining up delegate's for the hand to hand struggles at the Republican Convention is, in my opinion, definitely worthwhile. At a minimum Minneapolis in September can be a battleground more formidable and constructive than Chicago in 1968 or Goldwater’s germination of his brand of classical liberal conservatism in 1964. To help that effort I submit the remaining primary votes should be cast as referendums endorsing a rising tide of conservative, libertarian, patriot awareness and truth activism. Fading enthusiasm sends the wrong message. ( Let’s not snipe at each other either : Friendly fire casualties are distracting and disheartening . No up hill battle can afford such diversion and waste ).
We need to make it impossible for the powers that be, and the candidates they always serve up to us, to have their election comfortable in their business-as-usual maneuvers. To this end we cannot afford to allow our frustration to cause us to squander the opportunities which this campaign under Ron Paul's banner still occasions. Nor should we permit exuberance to result in battles fought at the expense of the war. It’s not about --" RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT ". [ Could it happen ?…..ah, what a brilliant dream…… Minneapolis/St. Paul …..is that the venue for the convention or the nickname for the dream ticket ? ] Ron Paul understands this. Our tactics must fit the strategy we set.
I've understood for some time that the campaign is no longer a get out the vote drive any more than its about money bombs to get the MSM to take notice. That was last year’s battle. It's not a popularity nor name recognition contest, either. So the time for billboards and sign waving is past ( though yard signs, buttons or other personal hand to hand contact is exactly what is needed to release the germ warfare called for on this occasion ). Horse races are for audiences. Nor is this stage even a battle over issues ( the war, immigration, low taxes , medical care). Sea changes like Restoring the Republic, Dismantling the Empire, The Fed or The IRS is one thing but the typical hot button voter block issues ( like abortion, school prayer, flag burning, global warming, etc ) are the polemics used by power brokers to manipulate sheeple to advance their divide and conquer objectives. Accomplishing the Sea Change removes the oppression that keeps us from addressing Truth and Justice. It’s clear Ron Paul understand this.
Even those who can be classified as “ Freedom Voters”have, for the past month, legitimately wondered where they are to carry the fight. [ See for an excellent breakdown http://www.dailypaul.com/... ]. There are a few key primaries remaining. Some present potentially emblematic opportunities to set or change the pace. So why does that matter if I believe it’s not about winning a popular vote near term..... Well, for now, it’s about beginning the process of a revolutionary initiative ! Each of us should be asking : What daily can we do in furtherance of deliberate projects to advance attention to, and understanding of , the cause ? What can YOU do to portray the Message as interesting, real and relevant? How can you personify this emerging rEVOLution to show what it’s about. I’m not talking only about those Sleeple who have yet to awaken. I’m talking also about those who have begun to awaken, as well. They need to find direction and support real soon. Help them. [See Kahn’s fun personal siege tactics http://www.dailypaul.com/... ]
I assume things have stalled waiting for marching orders. That isn’t too critical if these misguided activists were only planning to promote conventional campaign activities. It is certainly not too late to begin to coax and help shape the efforts of those in this Movement to take individual responsibility as we each SPREAD THE MESSAGE. Ron Paul’s renewed Freedom Tour and the debut of The Revolution: A Manifesto are propitiously timed. Let’s step up the pace now as well.
I intend to stay engaged in the maneuvers of this campaign, no matter what . Even if it becomes a longer war of attrition, I pledge myself to myself, to my compatriots and to my posterity that I will remain unflinchingly devoted to the objectives of this rEVOLution until the last soldier leaves the field.

Does it take collective action to protect ...
individual rights?
NONINTERVENTION AND SELFSUFFICIENCY
I am an individualist. In my experience, all collective action is precarious, if not outright fickle and dangerous. Inevitably it proves to be aggressive. Accordingly I’m in favor of disarmament and détente in all relations. All alliances are ultimately undependable and therefore should be avoided.
The larger the army, the longer the supply train. The more numerous the garrison, the larger the necessary fortifications. The longer the lines, the more flank and rear to cover. The point is : entrenching as part of any collective makes you more vulnerable, more of a target; and more susceptible to internal subversion.
If you must exercise your duty of self-preservation ...get small, stay nimble.
LibBerte, I bow to your wisdom
Dr. Paul cured my apathy
"While we might not win this election..."
This is LOSER TALK. I know you mean well, but every time someone says that on this site we take several steps backwards. We are now fighting for our lives, and therefore I can not tolerate doubt from any of my fellow soldiers. Doubt=Fear=Death.

Real courage
"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do." --- Atticus Finch.
Masterful
As I was reading this, I was reminded of a previous thread that I couldn't get enough of..... http://www.dailypaul.com/.... That article was one of inspiration. I found myself reading it over and over. A rare piece of political poetry.
That thread seemed to be calling for one of us to do the unexpected. Abandon preconceived ideas of traditional campaigning. Break out with some peaceful means of igniting the rest of the country to pay attention. To let it be known that the solution to many of our country's problems is right before our eyes. That the solution comes in the form of a little known Congressman from Texas with ideas seldom heard in politics today. A man of extraordinary courage not seen in modern times. .... But what could an average person like myself do that would accomplish such a heroic task? I had to face the sad truth. I was not that person. Only a more gifted person than I could fulfill this challenge. So I just bookmarked the article......
My first thought as I read Marching Orders: Quicken the Pace, was to disagree with the notion that Ron Paul may not be fired up enough. After all it was that first debate in South Carolina where Ron Paul quietly, courageously, and graciously put Giuliani in his place with his "blowback" explanation that convinced me that Ron Paul was no ordinary politician. But as I read further I could see where the author was going. Then I came to the Freedom Voters reference. That was when I quickly scrolled to the top to see who was writing this.
LibBerte, you have made my day. My seemingly ignored little theory has been read by the master. Thank you. I look forward to more of your articles.

Genghis Khan’s Shock and Awe Strategy of Maneuver
The Mogol hordes led by Genghis Khan were the epitome of mobility in warfare. These segmented forces could disperse and concentrate in complicated patterns which confused and appeared chaotic to the enemy, yet the Mongol soldiers maneuvered with amazing coordination. They knew what to do ,and when, without being told. The genius of Genghis Khan was to adapt the ancient strategy of slow-slow-quick-quick.
The first step, a “slow” was rigorous preparation before any campaign, which they did through hunting drills developing cohesion and exercising the Mongol’s ability to communicate through signals at a distance, coordinate their movements, know what to do and act under different circumstances without awaiting orders.
The second “slow” was a setup, getting the enemy to lower its guard by lulling it into complacency. Then came the first “quick”: fixing the enemy’s attention forward with a swift frontal attack. The final “quick” was a doubly swift blow from an unexpected direction, leading to confusion and panic.
