Ron Paul Republicans running for San Francisco GOP Central Committee

Hello Ron Paul Nation,

Please help get two Ron Paul Republicans elected to the San Francisco Republican Central Committee!

My name is Jason Rexing, and John Dennis and I are running for the Republican Party County Central Committee seats in Assembly District 13 in San Francisco. You can see us on pages 5 and 6 of the candidate list.

We are both members of the San Francisco Ron Paul Meetup Group (John is one of the organizers) and have actively supported Ron’s presidential campaign throughout the primaries. We were both in attendance at the San Francisco straw poll that was cancelled when it became apparent Ron Paul would win in a landslide, and John even travelled to Iowa and Nevada to speak in support of the campaign at the caucuses.

We’ve been inspired watching others work at the local and state level to gain delegates for Ron Paul, win committee seats and change party platforms, and we want to do our part to inject a heavy dose of liberty into the San Francisco GOP establishment. San Francisco is fertile ground for Dr. Paul’s message of non-intervention abroad and civil liberties at home, but we have our work cut out for us to crack into the GOP structure. There are 20 candidates running for 12 seats in our assembly district, and 9 of those candidates are incumbents. Absentee ballots are mailed on May 5th and the election takes place on June 3rd, so we need to raise funds quickly to run a direct mail campaign and increase our name recognition if we want any chance at getting elected. Please donate and help those of us who believe in free markets, individual liberty and the Constitution take the GOP back from the ground up. We appreciate any support you can provide and even the smallest donations help (even $5 or $10 contributions are welcome). Thank you!

This is more...

information about Ron Paul in SF than I've seen in months. It's difficult to find out how to participate in the Republican Party in SF, San Mateo and Marin Counties... Mind you, the idea never really appealed to me before the Ron Paul Revolution... so now I practically need a "Dummy's Guide" to being a free thinking and politically active Republican... (Ucky... the idea still doesn't set well, but I'll endure it for you guys...)

I AGREE WITH YOU...

But if you are in the SF bay area, it would be best for you to join a local meetup group... Most, if not all agree with you on the whole Republican thing, but remember after we reshape it, the neocons will have to go start a different party, since we will outnumber them as RON PAUL REPUBLICANS

hey people you need to read what this guy has done !!!

from his website:

Ron Paul and the Iowa Caucus
January 6th, 2008

I flew to Iowa from California the day before the caucus to help the Ron Paul campaign in Council Bluffs, just across from Omaha, Nebraska. The western Iowa campaign had precinct captain cancellations on the day of the election, so I went to the Council Bluffs precincts 4 & 5 caucuses (they were combined). There were 50 voters with only 6 confirmed Ron Paul supporters. And a whole bunch of Huckabee people. But there were also a lot of Undecideds.

When we got our chance to speak for Dr. Paul, two of us Ron Paul supporters tag-teamed the caucus. A marine who is stationed in Baghdad flew in that day especially for the caucus and told the crowd that the Iraq war is not about terrorism, WMD’s or democracy, but about oil. He said everyone in his unit supported Ron Paul for President. Then I spoke and told them about the country’s staggering debt, the CFR’s control of all the presidential candidates and its stranglehold on foreign policy. And I talked about Dr. Paul’s lonely fight over the years for us and our constitution.

It must have worked because we picked up 10 more votes (20% of the caucus!) and tied Huckabee for first place with 16 apiece. I can only wonder what would have happened if the volunteers had been more organized. What if people like that Marine and I had been in the hundreds of other precincts in the state without RP captains? How many more votes could we have won? So many undecideds were there for the taking.

Back here in San Francisco today I told this story to our canvassing crew just before we started to work our neighborhoods. We all vowed to not wonder what might have happened if we had just worked a bit harder or smarter in these final weeks and days before our election. We refuse to leave anything on the table and are doing everything we can to deliver San Francisco’s 3 delegates to Ron Paul.

John Dennis

I can vouch for that story being true

see my post below...
I was in charge of the other precinct for the Ron Paul Campaign.
He really turned the tide at that caucus with his speech.

Hey I was at the Caucus with John in Council Bluffs, Iowa

You knocked one out of the park with your speech that night !
We went into the caucus with about 6 Ron Paul supporters and a room full of Huckabee and McCain supporters and we WON one precinct and came in second in the other one.
Good for you for running for office !!

Your link to "Candidate List" doesn't work

And that's the important one. I'd like to see that you actually ARE candidates, before I donate.

They changed the link

They changed the name of the pdf file so the link is slightly different. Here's the updated link...

http://www.sfgov.org/site/uploadedfiles/elections/candidates/Jun2008_QualifiedCandidateListWithParty(1).pdf

We are on pages 5 and 6. If that doesn't work, go to this link:

and click on "Qualified Candidate List June 3, 2008 (PDF)"

Thanks again for everyone's support!

Great news! Best of luck

Great news! Best of luck with the election!

I wish you both the best of luck !!!!!!

I also wish I had something to contribute but I'm flat broke right now.
But if that changes I will dig this thread back up and donate.
Thank you for running and trying to bring about change !!!

Thanks for the support!

Only people in our assembly district (AD 13, which is basically the eastern half of San Francisco: http://www.calcomwebsite....) can vote for us, but anyone can donate to the campaign.

We have the list of registered Republicans from canvassing during the primaries and feel we have a good shot at getting elected if we can send direct mail to those voters. There are other Ron Paul supporters running for central committee seats in other assembly districts in the Bay Area, but many of them are running unopposed so they don't need to do the campaigning we do.

It's a great sign that we have so many people getting involved on the local level. It's happening in San Francisco, and from reading the Ron Paul message boards, it sounds like it's happening in a lot of other places around the country. This is how we can get the Republican Party back to its roots of Constitutionally limited government. Thanks again for all the support!

if you need supplies

Go to RonPaulPrinting.COM

That goes for all of you DailyPaul do-gooders!

I just dropped a twent bomb

everyone else too afraid to post a comment so you don't have to donate or what. Is this a revolution or not. I will catch some crap for that one, but if you looked at this thread and can afford to drop a little but didn't, you deserve some lip.

I will pass this on to my local meetup group

also who can vote for you ?
