GE posts dissappointing results.
GE, the worlds third largest company. The other two are oil companies. Their economic data suggests they are in trouble.
The news sent the dow futures plunging. What's worse, is the dollar is down, and the bonds are down. First time in this crisis, where one was not propping up the other two.
Today, may be the day we've all been nervously hoping would not happen. Today, the stocks might start revealing where we are headed. Global economic meltdown, and cosequential war.
GE CEO will be on CNBC here shortly, @ 7:30et. Every ear will be glued to see what he says about the Global situation. Because, if he says the Global situation is bad, then that could burst the commodity bubble, and boom, we plunge head first.
Historic Friday, friends of Ron Paul.

Without GE...
Without GE many would step up to the plate to produce the necessities and this would benefit everyone - new ideas - new jobs without tyranny! People have been sucked into these higher paying jobs without thinking or competing instead.
When the Lord closes a door, He opens a window - or many windows!
I say this over and over again, we have been trained, taught, and educated to go to work for someone else instead of planting the seed of imagination and entreapenurship!
Turn our brains back on and go to work for ourselves - Faith Begins with Self-Interest. Our Faith motivates us, incentive gets us to move.
Don't be selfless. Selfless = Self + Worthless
Self reliance is key. Only those who are in abundance can mourn with those who mourn. True empathy for others requires a person both understands and cares how someone else feels - therefore mourn.
Don't worry, the spinnmeisters will tell it like
GE reports less than expected earnings, however, based on increased further insight to the economy moving forward, they've now informed MSM that all earnings will be calculated in broad basket denominations, therefore resulting in improved market conditions. And due to the improved expected results, the board of directors just approved a new incentive package for current board members. Details were not released.
It's not that GE is too big
Fortune Favors the Bold
It's that they use their influence to secure government contracts, and use the force of law and government regulation to benefit themselves and hurt their competitors.
And also, the head of GE is a CFR member and Bilderberger.
Plus They are Lying Sacks of Crap ..
They came out in mid March saying everything was hunky dorry, causing a 15% runup in their stock price.
Now a few weeks later ... duh, "uh we wuz wrong""
Any insider that was selling shares should get publicly stoned IMO.
But I digress .. becuase "evn though GE wasnt there" ... lol
Americas most despised parasitic company for sure ..
Your missing the point
GE and its size are not the problem. It is our elected an unelected government officials that are either allowing or participating in the raping of America that are the problem. Congress, the President, and the courts, and state equivalents, if adhering to the Constitution(s) would not let this crap go on. These companies are only doing what they can get away with. It is government that is the key.
The size of global corporations is a problem.
Think of this in terms of following the money.
Does the government generate the revenues which are used to influence corporations, or do the corporations generate the revenues which influence government?
And since when is more government regulation of anything a good thing?
I'll put up a post later going into this in a bit more detail because it's a subject that I think is well worth discussing more.
Size of Corporations is Direct Response to Size of Government
It's Natural Selection and Evolution at work.
If one predator gets bigger, the prey have to develop teeth, or size or other defence mechanism. When voters began to ask government for more things, government tried to get them without expense to the voter by taxing and regulating business.
Business, in self-defense, incorporated (to avoid tax), or failed and was bought out or replaced by a conglomerate. Bigger became better able to fight back, with a Government Affairs department, a Government Compliance Department, Tax and H/R departments, lots of lawyers and lobbyists, etc.
If the Corporation was big enough or joined a Trade Group Lobby, it could avoid being eaten by politicians. The Big prey began to feed the politicians and to choose them. Politicians became dependent on Big Corp. and Big Trade Group approval.
Now we voters are trying to avoid being eaten. We outnumber them. We wield more votes. We need to be smarter and faster and to work as a group. We have the Internet.
But just as fast as we are on the 'net, the Government predator is wanting to use technology (Real ID) against us.
These are fascinating evolutionary forces at work.
This also shows why we must fight for Freedom for ALL. If you only fight for Freedom for yourself or for some individuals, the others must fight back, developing the above defenses, or become extinct. They will become bigger, faster, more effective in self-defense and then you'll have to do the same to survive.
This is also why I'm a libertarian. The authoritarians are about using their strength to win and subdue others. Libertarians want an ecosystem that has a minimum of agression, by allowing each person to determine their own life experience without having to get government approval. If we did that, government would shrink in size and Big Business would collapse from its unneeded overhead and break into smaller, nimbler businesses or be replaced by them.
IMissLiberty
I believe you have it backwards
The size of government is directly proportional to the size of corporations, not the other way around as you state.
Think about it...where does the money for a huge bloated government come from? Who uses their money to lobby? To entice politicians into doing their bidding? You don't seriously think big government shapes big business to it's will, do you?
I would suggest
that it's companies like this that are in charge. Through lobbyist, special interests. Money can't buy happiness, but it sure can buy the vote of a corrupt congress.
Now, how much have these corporation in their Eurodollar Sweep account, controlled by the British Empire?
Have you seen this?
http://www.youtube.com/wa...
Import Prices Up 2.8% in March
More bad news this morning. So the U.S. imports 600 billion dollars worth in a year more than we import. 2.8% in ONE MONTH.
But Dr. Paul doesnot know what he is talking about, right? Higher prices are good. I love paying more for stuff. I have too much money. Oh, and the dollar is falling more today. Great, higher prices and my money is worth less.
Let's put this in perspective
GE makes in two years what the Federal Reserve has on reserve to back our economy.
A 10 percent dip in their stock, is like a 5% dip in our economy, in a day.
And, GE is THE biggest supplier for US defense.
This will be the lead story of the day.
Why blame GE for these problems?
They don't have the power to do what government is doing. The problem is government officials that don't give a rats a$$ about our Constitution.
I certainly wouldn't blame GE for what our government is doing.
But...a new war would sure boost their bottom line. See where we are going now?
Well
GE controls nearly all of the electrical infrastructure in the US. Without GE, we don't get electricity.
I've been warning people, this is a war over electrons, and control of them.
respectfully, let me be the first to call...
B.S.!
We don't need GE to get electricity. If GE didn't exist, and there was no global mega-corporation to take its place don't you think that there'd be many more smaller local companies that'd take care of the need?
GE supplies the parts
to keep these stations running. Those giant fuses, and transfer switches, who do you think makes those. All over the world. That is how they got to be the 3rd largest company in the world.
And, they finance a lot of this stuff. They are the 7th largest finance company in the US.
All the more reason...
I'm not disagreeing with you that GE manufactures those components, or their standing in the financial sector, or the fact that their business represents a large part of the economy of not only the United States but of the world.
What I'm saying is that for a corporation to have grown to that size and to have the control of the markets that it does is a bad bad thing.
We ought to WELCOME the decline of global corporations that claim the same protections of rights that you and I as individuals are gauranteed under our Constitution. I don't give a crap what they make or how much of the economy they currently represent. Without them (or any other corporation their size for that matter) the distribution of wealth would be much more even, the influence they exert through their 'rights' as a corporate person would be nullified, and we could get back to governance the way our founders intended.
Let GE and all of the too large corporations sink. The world would be a better place without them.
Without GE
I agree with this analogy.
I feel so bad for the globalists...
You know, GE and the rest of them could all go bankrupt for all I care. If income wasn't a factor I'd be just as happy farming as I am now.
I agree
It's what we need to equalize all people, so that there isn't the haves, and the have nots
We we meant to be farmers from the beginning. We lost our roots.
agreed
The times i spent on a farm were the happiest i remember. I hate working a desk in a cubicle, humans weren't meant to be abused like this. Most of the people in this country remember who they are, remember what it means to be American, its only that those who have taken control of media and government have begun smearing our good name. They've confused and reworded the American ideals into their own twisted pyrimid scheme and they're converting good people into their little web of lies by abusing those ideals. If this country does fall to recession, i'm dropping everything, piling my tools into my truck, and lookin for the nearest farm that needs a hand. I'm sick of sitting in a box.
~I will never again accept the lesser of two evils.~
I'd much rather be sitting on a tractor than at my desk
Or up in the loft tossing hay off the conveyor...or in the shop fixing anything...or even mucking the center aisle. I draw the line at having to clean/fix the gutters though...
