URGENT: See if there is anything in the bylaws of that county that require them to send notice to all members of the party of a vote to ammend their bylaws.
Many bylaws will state that such drastic measures and special meeting must be made by written notice to all members prior to the meeting to ammend.
Do not confuse what i just said for at the conventions they are advertised by notice from the local media so what you do at the convention is within your bylaws should there be such a clause in them.
If this years primary stands true to 2004 and the delegates are to vote the way the county votes...then Twin Falls is not representing the people, because if you look at the voter statistics for 2004, there was not a majority vote in the primaries.
In the 2004 primaries there was only 26.79% of "registered voters" that voted, so that leaves 73.21% that did not cast their votes. Therefore, if the majority rules, and the majority doesn't vote, then is the majority saying they don’t want the delegates to vote or are they saying that they want the delegates to decided for the majority?
New to the party, old to the party, A Republican is a Republican is a Republican. How can any one Republican have a greater say in what happens to the party? This is a forced vote and goes against the Democratic process. A class action lawsuit needs to challenge this ruling for every Republican this hurts, which is all of us. It's an obvious blackout of Republican voters who won't vote on the puppet they want. It doesn't work that way. Let the Republicans decide, not just a select few who want their own agenda met. This is insanity. If they have the power; bring it, if not; let the cards fall where they may.
So they hijacked the party and turned it into a bunch of crooked, dishonest law breakers and on top of that they are going to force that horrible leadership to continue by changing laws so their crooked criminals can be the only choice? I'm in the party like it or not. The vote has to be protected no matter who's in charge. The system is set up so that whomever votes their vote stands. Change the delegate process don't change laws to silence a portion of the delegates who don't want your guy. What if the Obama camp did this? Changed laws so delegates could not vote Hillary. This would be all over the paper and totally illegal.
This doesn't really matter at this point for it is only 1 county and this must be passed at the state level and if we just show up and vote we can overturn eveything they do.
They can claim all they want and play na na na na na all they want but this will force them to show uup to every meeting every month for the rest of their lives because the paul supporters will be there to vote.
No more do what you want in the party for now it is time to earn your place and they will have to now fight to keep it.
They need to vote out the chair and all the officers and let them learn that they are not the Government for the PEOPLE are the Government and they will listen to the voice of the people once again.
This actually doesn't matter I don't think. Get our people to show up, get a majority and then move to change that rule. Simple, its just if our people show up or not that will determine this.
All of us need to be regularly attending our monthly GOP meetings. If you don't know of these meetings, contact your local GOP and get information. We all need to be at each of these meetings until the convention in Sept in order to defuse any future votes which would prohibit us from voting for Dr. Paul.
All of you who are saying that it's not _right_ to do what they did are missing the fact that Paul delegates are trying to use the very same techniques to change things at the convention level. The only way this is unfair is in terms of numbers. Get power IN the party first, then undo all this b.s. It may very well be too late for this years presidential election, but that doesn't mean it has to next time around. It's a long process to unwind the GOP back to a more reasonable organization.
Doesn't this sound like, "You didn't come play with us when we wanted you to, so now that you want to play, we won't let you. Nyeaah!"
Commit-tee members said that Paul supporters (...) haven't been active in local politics enough, particularly with the Lincoln Day banquets and a spring picnic, two of the biggest party events.
OMG! We didn't attend their picnic!!!! We must not be true Republicans!!
(...) "We're always looking for help but none of these people were there when we needed it, not until they wanted the elected positions."
So you finally get people showing up to participate, and you insult them and do what you can to try to block their participation. Guess you're not "always looking for help" after all. Way to grow the GOP, Idaho.
I hope things just get uglier and uglier out in GOP land. Here in California, it appears to be pretty well locked down like a machine. On the other hand, they are using the same tactics that RP supporters are using in other areas. It's a fight, and a fight needs numbers once the element of surprise is gone.
I just sent this email:
What a sad day for the people of Idaho! Not only does the GOP continue to drive conservatives away but they continue to destroy their credibility in the process. Why don't they just come right out and admit that it is no longer a party of the conservatives of America, it is now a party of Bush and McBush rubberstampers striving to ignore the will of the people?
in your area and my immediate family is still there and in Minidoka Co. I know there is a HUGH base of conservatives in southeast ID. The neocons must have out numbered you at that meeting.
MT GOP was extremely excited about all the new recruits this year and when they realized that we were all here wanting a CHANGE (in the GOP) and that McCain came in 4th, they decided they better take notice or all of us would leave again. Therefore, with our RP State Coordinator's delegent insistance and many RP supporter letters; they are changing their tune AND RP is our key Note Speaker at our State Convention. Although in my county we have been informed we can not have a copy of the county bylaws without Ex. Board approval; what a CROCK. Keep up the Great work for RP and Good Luck.

Twice i have been to Montana, and both times it wrenched at my heart to leave. Though i was born in the midwest, the mountains of the northwest have called to me since i was but a child. To hear so many things that Montana is doing to support its people, to encourage freedoms.. it tears me apart even more that i cannot be there. Truly, you never understand better the freedoms you dont have until you're living paycheck to paycheck, working yourself to death for nothing, unable to do something as simple as moving to a new place. I grow closer to the point where i no longer care about bills or debts, closer to the moment i pile what i can in the back of my truck and drive.. penniless to be sure, but just drive, as fast as i can, to Montana. I may end up a bum on the street, but at least i'd be where my heart is. I envy you, and someday i will come. perhaps sooner than later..

I appreciate that a great deal :) you can just call me James too. I will get there, somehow someway, i will make my home in Montana. I will see that big sky, smell that wonderful air, and smile with those friendly people again.

Uncle Joe would be proud
Nothing but Stalinism. Uncle Joe would be proud.
The organs of the State exist to serve the Party and the Party is the vanguard of the glorious globalist revolution.
With regard to the tactics used by the Idaho GOP to exclude truly conservative voices, I cannot fully express my contempt without getting vulgar.
