What a wonderful, refreshing day it was! I was lucky enough that I got to help Granny, Joel and Art and had access to the drinks and the sandwiches which many people were taking anyway. :0)~ But I made mine extra huge, I had made sure they had seem me lift some heavy stuff earlier in the morning :0)~
I will sound like a sap and tell you that the sky was a beautiful blue and not a cloud in sight, the temperature was a perfect 70 or so all day, the breeze was gentle but constant and the people were amazing. What a wonderful bunch of supporters, so positive, so happy.... I think these was due to it being scheduled on a Tuesday and on tax day, I guess the most active and independent freedom supporters took the trip to Washington. Really, nary a negative word all day. I guess the cream of the crop was there, the ones willing to take a couple days off, spend a little money and who knew who the speakers were.
We the People foundation set six tables against the north side of the lawn and they gave out their information. Russell Means, elder of the Lakotah nation was available to all who wanted to speak with him as was Tom Cryer the lawyer who beat the IRS. Ooooh, Collin Jackson the husband of the IRS agent who appeared in Freedom to Fascism and is now in jail awaiting trial was there. Also, most of the freedom candidates including Murray Sabrin, John Wallace ect. and even some freedom candidates we had not heard about. They just came in and started working the crowd. It was great to see the candidates from across the country exchanging information and talking to each other all day.
The Grannies set a table on the east end against the Capitol and passed out hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of campaign materials, buttons, t-shirts ect. Joel Lemieux walked back and forth making all the introductions of all the VIP's and scheduling their talking times. Art looked fabulous in his patriot regalia and made sure that everything was going according to plan.
Rich, one of the coordinators for the Free State Project came over to pass out information about the Porc Fest in the live free or die state. If you haven't heard about them make sure you look them up.
Empty Slate and Pocker Face rocked the crowd with genuinely good music. Bob from Will to Power didn't show up, but we found out later that he had been on a slight motorcycle accident the night before. He did go to the hospital with a concussion, but we hear he is doing well now. Anyone wishing to send him a message to wish him well can contact him at www.myspace.com/willtopow... .
So all in all I am very happy to have been able to attend and help. I feel refreshed in the revolution and I feel that if there are a thousand couple people willing to drive on a weekday all the way from Dakota, Texas, California, Pennsylvania, and so many other states, we are doing well as a movement ..... Oooh.. two buses came from PA filled with supporters. They were wonderful people who helped to set up and carry heavy items. People came from all over the country.
Thank you Grannies, Joel and all the other people who made this happen! It was a wonderful day I won't forget in a lifetime.
They were awesome! I have a video of them at the rally. Sound may not come out to great. But you will get the point. I am getting the tape transferred to disk and should have it up by the end of the week. I will post it here.
I try not to be mean most of the time but when people come on like you GIN and say we are profiting from this, you have to be joking.
We collected $5345.00, it cost us just for the staging alone, $2,226.00, porta potties @ $65.00 each, generator $460.00,food $649.00, drinks $450.00, ( this was supposed to be for the speakers and workers but it turned out that others used the buffet as well which was no problem) then airline tickets for some of the guests, gas money for others, plus our own gas and we wound up $1,019 in the hole. Oh I forgot the Camp ground fees for some of the guests that came in with RV's. And how about all the DVD's, wrist bands and buttons which were given away. Do you think they are free? The Slim Jims and printed material has to be paid for also. It has always been this way and I am not complaining as we make most of the expenses on donations but don't you ever even imply we are profiting from this. You are certainly in no position to say one way or the other.
The permit is absolutely FREE as is the POLICE PROTECTION.
As for the Ron Paul March, I commend who ever that is that is doing that but it would be nice to know who you are dealing with. Why keep the organizers names secret? I would hesitate to send in money to any cause I could not verify who was getting it. That seems like a common sense thing to me. I would think they would get lots more help if they would simply say who they are and how to contact them. I also have offered to be of any help I can to that group, we have tried to work with them from the start which would have been a lot nicer than each doing their own thing seperately. But we did and succeeded to do what we set out to do even with all the snide and rude remarks that were made along with insinuations of us lying about Ron being there..
The Congress had people out on the balcony all day long watching, as did some of the senators. And I guarantee you Ron Paul was not embarassed by a poor showing. Not a single one of the other congressmen could have had that many people on the lawn for them on a tuesday. Many of them were clapping for the speakers and some even bounced up and down to the music. We accomplished what we set out to do but we did not profit from it other than having a raging headache, tired bones and worn out mind. I am still recouperating from the experience.
I've donated before. I try whenever I can.
I raged to help with the recount. Which exposed even there massive fraud in our election process.
I donated again just now.
I donate my tips and windfall money for RP newspapers.
I donate a bit to RP site but mostly to the grassroots now.
And you are core grassroots.
Many years ago I studied ants. Despite what people thought about hard working they are, - which is true. There were certain ants that saw the need and started the action which the others followed.
At my darkest moments when I know of not a single person who supports McInsane, I know that we RP people have started something that won't end until we win. We will regain our Republic. Since now, as the good Doctor said, there is an alternative.
At every turning point, every junction in the road, you and your team have been there for us.
When I visit your web site you define yourself(ves). Good Christians, etc., etc., I do not share these same things. I do not share every word spoken by Ron Paul. I do not believe RP is the answer to every illness. I regret some of his votes.
However, RP is without doubt an independent, honest and true man. He wants me. Yes ME. To be as free to live my life as he wants it for everyone else. You cannot hurt others, you can believe what you want and the government is supposed stay out of your life and you can control your life.
I've paid taxes all my life. When unemployed I lived on my savings because I did not want to take resources away from those who truly needed them. I cleaned toilets to put food on the table and felt I was honest and en-nobled to do so. I believe I am where I am because of what I do and believe. When I was in a position of power I was offered bribes and refused. I lost my position.
I have been high and I have been low.
One day I will be old and out of my mind. I hope I will be able to end it with dignity as all my family have tried. I don't want a bloody politician to tell me how or when to die.
I want to be left alone to play in my garden and see the fruits of my loins live their lives in peace.
You and yours are my inspiration. I will always support you and RP.
I will never support these lying bastards who we see on TV. I was a Bush supporter! Something about cutting off the hand that did a terrible thing, rings true. I did not like Clinton now I hate Bush. With new eyes I looked again at our history and see we went wrong many, many years ago.
Granny, I'm there till we win. Or we condemn our kids and grandkids to being slaves of the government and the FED.
We must sweep the nation with our message.
We, yes WE, are free people. The government and their laws make us slaves!
Linda, I don't claim to know anything about the money you have spent or even brought in...in fact I donated to your cause myself....my point was more that you are stating that the Revolution March should not be trusted and I was merely pointing out that the same could be said for the tax day march... I supported, promoted and attended your march...
All I was trying and will continue to try to do is point out that this is not a competition, we are all wanting the same result...from the onset of the request from Ron Paul for a Grand March on Washington (which was originally discussed for April 3rd on the Daily Dose...first mention of any kind of big rally) you have seemed to want to sabotage the Revolution March/Ron Paul March efforts by stating on many occasions that the tax day march was the one needed.
My personal feeling is that the more rallies we have for Ron Paul and his issues the better off Ron Paul's candidacy will be....I do not understand why there must be so much animosity with the different efforts....why can't everyone support each other's efforts and work together for the common good?
Why must you continually bring up (at least 10 posts today alone) that there is yet to be a pic of the permit online...sheesh...it was only decided 2 days ago as to which day the March/Rally would actually be....folks need a little time to get organized...not to mention they probably have families, jobs and responsibilities other than the R3volutioin to attend to.
If this had been in the works for a couple/3 weeks, I could understand the doubts, but to be doubting others efforts when a date was just decided is completely unfair on your part and I personally feel you and your company owe the R3volution March Committee an apology for attempting to discredit them.
In the end Linda, you are the one who will look bad and you will only have yourself to blame....
Not a single one of the other congressmen could have had that many people on the lawn for them on a tuesday.
I had offered some criticisms below, but in retrospect, this is what I should have focused on. Especially given the limitations of the timing and other variables, this was a huge success. I very much hope it made a big impact as it would appear from your post that it did.
The thing is, I believe that the Republican party and established powers in this country are frightened that the Revolution appears to be alive and well in this country. Otherwise, they would not waste their time sending out spam-bots and continuing to try to attack Ron Paul and his supporters. You gals, the Granny Warriors, are a huge part of the reason that we continue to have hope and the drive to persevere. You are a blessing to our nation and to the movement, and I commend you for your hard work and steadfast determination. May your example inspire others to do likewise.
I will continue to pray that the light of truth will be shown on this great nation, and that God will grant strength and sustenance toward those who will fight against tyranny and injustice. May God bless you in all that you do.
For all those interested, here are some photos from the rally. I plan to post my thoughts and summary of the events on this page later. Thank you Grannies!
Thanks, Granny. But next time a former detractor eats humble pie and apologizes, you might consider accepting the apology instead of (strangely) interpreting an obviously kind note as some kind of attack. That just turns everyone off.
OK everyone, here is the scoop. The rally went beautifully. Will to Power was not there as they had a accident and could not get there in time. Yes they will be at the next rally. Poker Face will also be there. Yes we will have speakers from all different areas. Yes there will be some speakers on 911. Yes we will have the DVD's from many groups to hand out. Yes we will be selling T shirts and Buttons. No we won't be giving tours in the Granny Wagon although it is a thought since so many of you have said you wanted to ride in it. Yes Buddy will be in SD. No he will not be one of the speakers. LOL....
I really do appreciate all the emails I have received but to be truthful I cannot answer them all personally. My mail box has been shut down twice due to overloading so many get deleted in the process. I am so happy you are all behind us it is gratifying to know we have made a good start on this revolution. Now we have to really strive to continue it and make a huge huge public base that the Government will see as a real army for Liberty.
Thank you again for your support. I really do appreciate it. go to the new website now and get involved in this next event. We need to get billboards up as soon as possible. www.revolution4freedom.co...
We announced it on April 15, 2008 in Washington, D.C.

For all of you detractors and naysayers posting here -
I admit that I was one of the people that had negative feelings about the planning of this event, and I made no secret about it here. BUT, I actually went to the rally - 3 hours after Dr. Paul spoke - and I was still incredibly inspired by the whole thing. I looked for the official "Grannies" to make a face to face apology for doubting what they were doing, but they (Linda really) were too busy to interrupt. Anyway, I talked to lots of people, listened to the band, picked up an American flag that was on the ground and planted it upright, and copped two sweet official Ron Paul signs for my house. The best part of this rally was that it was RIGHT ON THE CAPITOL LAWN!!!! It was really an amazing sight to behold, and I commend the Grannies on this effort! There were probably 300 people or so when I got there at 2pm or so, but a family that I ran into while walking there told me that there were "a couple thousand" folks in attendance around noon.
You either can't count or do so very selectively.. even at the end and I mean the very end there were more than 200 people there as more than that many helped clean up the paper and pick up all the trash..Get real and learn to really count. There were over 100 people who just worked with us all day. plus the sound operators and different orgs. staffs.. now how would you explain the people sitting on the walls, on the ground and walking around the lawns? And as far as June 21st I guess there will be 100,000,000 there that day... You are living in a bottle... there will be no 21st.. Nada, nill, nothing going on that day.. at least not in Washington.
By the way, you probably were not even there.. I would bet you weren't. You say we were too busy for you to come and talk to us? What were we doing that was so important we wouldn't have time to say hellO???
Great job on the rally, but horrible reply to this guy or gals post. You should be ashamed of your reply. Furthermore you are not the boss of June 21st, who are you to say there will be nothing on June 21st, you are the one that plopped April 15th on us with no real realistic time to get all of our own lives to work around it. You are not the boss of any of our June 21st plans, so I will flag your post. Take it down.
It was not me that said nothing would happen on the 21st it was the planners themselves.. I didn't plop anything on you, the 15 th had been our date for months and you are right I am not the boss of the 21st rally. LOL... so flag my post and take it down.. but stop and think what you are saying ... Let us know how we can help you on the 21st. But you may want to wait until July 12th. or if you live in one of the western states how about July2nd through july 6th?
You all have to understand dizzle gave Granny a hard time, she is EXTREMELY worn out. This event took a toll on us that put it on, after 5 days in the car myself all I can do is shake from exhaustion.
Dizzle... Thank you for going, once Granny rereads your post she'll probably feel different (after some good sleep anyway, like we all need at this point).
Wish I could have met you myself, I felt like going up to people and saying "what's your online ID?" out of curiosity who was all there.
I so much appreciate those that went and enjoyed the day, we took lots of pictures and video I can't wait to get them on the computer, got some great ones of PokerFace.
I personally missed Ron Paul :( we had a heck of a time finding a parking spot, Jack McLamb was with us and he was just exhausted from the walk in. Very nice person, I really enjoyed the time I got to spend with him.
I can't wait until our July event, it will be so much less stressful on us organizers. But so much more for the people.
Uhhhhh, yeah....Me neither. I was trying to be very positive. I took seven or eight pics with my cellphone camera and kept sending them to my wife who I wished could have been there....I talked to quite a few people....I rocked out to the band....I went out of my way to find Linda to thank her, but she had other folks around her....I even brought a co-worker that voted for Obama in the primaries...And I even ate some humble pie in a couple of different threads...WTF???
Like I mentioned before, I saw probably 100 people leaving right as I got there and others told me that there were probably a couple thousand in attendance by noon.
This warm up rally is getting the ball rolling for the june 21st march that Ron Paul suggested. And June 21st will lead us right up to St.Paul where we should have the largest turnout yet.
I ,for one am thankful for the time, money and efforts that was given towards this event. No matter if the turn out was 100 or 100,000 or more the fact that the message still is being spread far and wide is what's important. And to hear Ron Paul on his last couple of radio interviews make it clear that he is still running and campaigning is just enough fuel to get the fire going for those sceptics. The capitol, D.C.hasn't seen anything yet.
Keep up the fight. There still is much to be done. I am helping my son in the delegate process in Indiana. I have been busy. From Ron Pauling Billary in Anderson, Indiana to continueing spreading the message and educating others on the process that has become part of my daily regiment.
You've heard of the pregame warmups. That's what this rally in D.C.was. It was a good showing in my opinion. I wasn't able to make arrangements to leave my business during that time. However I had already made arrangements for June 21st and September after listening to Dr. Paul on his video suggesting June 21st. Let us all continue the trench work towards St. Paul and the message.
There is no June Rally, there is NO permit. Though we do hope they can find some date for some kind of Rally. As far as I heard from the "horses mouth", they cannot get a permit for June or July in DC.
Please note that we, the Ron Paul freedom loving supporters can attend the PorcFest in NH in June, check out, http://altexpo.org/, and http://www.freestateproje..., this would be a great place to meet up and plan for our..............you know what i mean. aloha!!, compostmaui@yahoo.com
It is not juvenile... it is responsibility... the July March has not shown proof of the permit, they haven't explained why they are conning people and telling them they need even money for police when that is NO CHARGE and they haven't said WHO is in charge so how does anyone know WHERE the money is going? The Granny Warriors have always been honest and that is why they have raised over $100,000 in funds to help the Ron Paul campaign!
I called the office where you get your permit and they said you don't have one! Now show it or stop conning people! You couldn't get one for June OR July!
I hate getting involved but have to say that the attitude of both Linda and her staff really bums me out. I was at the rally all day and the numbers you guys have been bandying about here are complete BS.
What REALLY bums me out is the animosity towards the r3vMarch folks. You seem really quick to be throwing out slanderous terms. Hhhmmm...?
Good Luck on Grannys Birthday Party @ Sturgis on the 4th, I'll be with the r3VOLution in DC
Your right, we'll leave it alone.
We have nothing against the March Rally, we have always said we would go and support their movement.
The fact is they did everything they could to hurt the Rally. Most likely the only one you will see in DC. I should say would have since it is over and we are proud and pleased with the people that did come and show their support and listen to the great speakers.
We are SORRY for showing our concerns that there IS NO permit
That they are scamming money for stuff that has no fees
and that they have not said WHO is in charge for the donations and setup.
It's like the Blimp... did you know the person that received the donations went and bought himself a BRAND NEW RV for his personal use of over $40,000?!
But you are right... we'll move on, we'll quietly just tell people our plans, everyone that knows the Granny Warriors knows they are trustworthy. If you think our honesty is causing a problem, then we'll hush.
GOOD LUCK!
You need take a step back ....you can't tell me that GW has not profited off of their endevours....come on now......do really need to get into this kind of debate?
What is the REAL Reason you don't want the R3volution March take place???
I fail to see how if say 75,000 people showed up on the national mall, what the hell the coppers could possibly do? Tell them they dont have a right to be on public land because they don't have a f-in permit? They cant jail that many people and they wont tear gas them for the horrible backlash that would surely entail. We would be putting THEM between a rock and a hard place.
I realize that a sound stage and all the rest would have to be nixed, but there are creative ways around all that. I will not ever accept any "free speech zone" restrictions. Nor should anyone else. This is a matter of principle.
Thanks for the reply MichelleM. Tho I didnt mention anything about a Rally. That dosnt mean there cannot be a march. The permit situation is very interesting, oh what a tangle web the corrupt are weaving. Only a kink in the armor. We can continue the march can we not. The permit is for the lawn rally only.
So help me with the latest scuttlebut on the march. What's your take on the march?
Gotta go, more delegates to train for the hoosier process. ;)
Stay focused and stay strong. We are in this together.
Well all I can say is I do hope they can pull something off but now with one of their primary websites unavailable it isn't looking good.
The problem with the other group trying to do the March is that they are expecting Ron Paul and the Campaign to lead the way. This will never happen, as the Campaign cannot get involved with anything like this. He can show up "officially unannounced" like he did to the Granny Warriors event, but he won't be in any of the plan making.
Granny Warriors though have Revolution Continueing and there is more in the making.. this one in DC is just the beginning. The next one planned is already HUGE in the making, many of the guests and bands lined up but this time we are going up and over, so stay tuned. Get those fireworks because you'll be needing those for the next event! :)
We finally got a video together from the rally, hope yall like it! It was one of few attempts to construct a video from the war wagon. I also took quite a bit of photos from the rally and I posted several of them on flikr. Enjoy
I must admit, some people who came to the rally with me were disappointed that there weren't a half million others in the lawn. So what? I'm not going to give an estimate because I couldn't tell. One of the speakers said "looks like 700" and one of the speakers even made an ill-conceived remark during their very informative speech that he "hoped there would be more people."
The information that was shared from all the speakers was invaluable. I'm glad I attended the rally. The hard work and probably stressful process of putting on such an event should not be criticized just because it didn't meet your expectations.
I don't know who this person is and don't really care but I was there, I took a good count, there were at least 1,200 people there all day long, At the very end of the day there were still a crowd which is very unusual., At most of the rallys when Dr. Paul leaves it is over.. this one was much different, the rally started when he left with 22 speakers and bands and Dave with his music. Look at the phtots and videos. It was a great day and I am so proud to have been a part of it. The congessmen came out on the steps and watched as did the snipers on the roof tops.
Anyone that trys to minimise this crowd is off their rockers. The people at this rally were spread all over the place, with blankets, chairs and their familys and picnic lunches. This is what a rally should be like. Fun, learning and sharing with each other..
When you get ready to put together your 500 000 march let us know we will be there to cheer you on not try to discourage your efforts.
It is PITIFUL anyone would put down all those that actually WENT to this Rally and boy you missed out! The speeches were great! The weather was beautiful, it was a perfect day.
I went out there with a load of 28 people! We were very pleased at least someone showed up.... since the effort was against us sooo hard from those THINKING there is going to be a June event in DC... well keep wishing.
To everyone that showed up, drove, flew, whatever kudos to you! At least everyone else who views the pictures knows that you are doing every effort of helping the Revolution and Restoring the Constitution.
ALL DAY LONG people approached the Granny Warriors and thanked them for their efforts.
ALL DAY LONG they handed out tons of information for Free to the general public about Ron Paul... which costs many $$
There was nothing like spending the day visiting with Jack Mclamb, PokerFace, Empty Slate, Ernst Hancock, Colin Jackson, Bob Schulz, Russell Means.
And even though only 6-7 people were listed on the website for running for Congress and Senate seats, there turned out to be about a dozen there!
And this is just the beginning! The Granny Warriors have more in store, you just wait, the Revolution Continues!.... WOOO HOOO
People were arriving and leaving all day. At any given time there were 4-5 hundred and it peaked somewhere around 3 pm - 4pm ( maybe 6 - 7 hundred scattered throughout the grounds. It was an absolutely beautiful day with clear and sunny skies with temps around 70 degrees. My kids had their picture taken with Russell Means. They were excited after I explained who he was. Unfortunately, we missed Dr. Paul, as he spoke around noon and we arrived at 12:45. I heard he was very busy yesterday and was briskly taken back to Capitol Hill by his handlers. Otherwise, a glorious day and my kids had a great time.
What a WONDERFUL Day! Old & Young, Families, Kids. Rejuvenating!

They were awesome! I have a video of them at the rally. Sound may not come out to great. But you will get the point. I am getting the tape transferred to disk and should have it up by the end of the week. I will post it here.
About Grannys Profits????

Granny is the gift that keeps giving.

Linda, I don't claim to know
Linda, I don't claim to know anything about the money you have spent or even brought in...in fact I donated to your cause myself....my point was more that you are stating that the Revolution March should not be trusted and I was merely pointing out that the same could be said for the tax day march...
In the end Linda, you are the one who will look bad and you will only have yourself to blame....
just my humble opinion...
Take heart Granny
you are cherished and respected by many.
We need more like you!
Good Showing

Thanks, Granny. But next time a former detractor eats humble pie and apologizes, you might consider accepting the apology instead of (strangely) interpreting an obviously kind note as some kind of attack. That just turns everyone off.
You are right and I am sorry for the hasty reply

What a load of emails

Was it worth the 10 hour drive - each way?
I got to shake Dr. Pauls hand. Almost got a nice picture of it as well :-)
Totally worth it.
And i'll be back in D.C. for the march.
I was there!! Got to shake
I was there!! Got to shake the mans hand.. Although he didn't have much time to do individual photographs it was very nice..
For all of you detractors
See everyone again on June 21st!!!
drizzle you still fizzle..

June 21st
It was not me that said nothing would happen on the 21st it was the planners themselves.. I didn't plop anything on you, the 15 th had been our date for months and you are right I am not the boss of the 21st rally. LOL... so flag my post and take it down.. but stop and think what you are saying ... Let us know how we can help you on the 21st. But you may want to wait until July 12th. or if you live in one of the western states how about July2nd through july 6th?

Just plain tired...
Sounded like a positive post
Sounded like a positive post to me ... don't know why the snark was necessary, unless I missed something earlier.
Uhhhhh, yeah....Me neither.
And I stand by my numbers...

A GREAT WARM UP RALLY,NICE JOB GRANNY WARRIORS !
Again
There is no June Rally, there is NO permit. Though we do hope they can find some date for some kind of Rally. As far as I heard from the "horses mouth", they cannot get a permit for June or July in DC.
2008 Porcupine Freedom Festival
Please note that we, the Ron Paul freedom loving supporters can attend the PorcFest in NH in June, check out, http://altexpo.org/, and http://www.freestateproje..., this would be a great place to meet up and plan for our..............you know what i mean. aloha!!, compostmaui@yahoo.com
You all are right, there is
You all are right, there is no June Rally, but there sure is gonna be one Hell of a Rally July 12th!!!!! This dialog is so juvenile.....grow up people
It is not juvenile... it is
It is not juvenile... it is responsibility... the July March has not shown proof of the permit, they haven't explained why they are conning people and telling them they need even money for police when that is NO CHARGE and they haven't said WHO is in charge so how does anyone know WHERE the money is going? The Granny Warriors have always been honest and that is why they have raised over $100,000 in funds to help the Ron Paul campaign!
I called the office where you get your permit and they said you don't have one! Now show it or stop conning people! You couldn't get one for June OR July!
I hate getting involved but
I hate getting involved but have to say that the attitude of both Linda and her staff really bums me out.
JULY 12, 2008 - not to be missed
Your right, we'll leave it
Your right, we'll leave it alone.
GOOD LUCK!
Like I said, the
Like I said, the rhetoric/attitude of GW&Co really bums me out. Kinda like the Freedom Wagons been infiltrated by a Wormtounge.
Hadn't heard about the 40k RV, you got any details or is this just gossip? (not that that has anything to do with this)
Your pushing of BS #'s tells a lot about your honesty.
Sad.
I was there, it was great, no need to exaggerate, no need to belittle, no need to insinuate. There really is no need for that kinda crap.
Anyway
Congrats to all who made this the success that this was.
Ok, wait....hold the
Ok, wait....hold the phone......
You need take a step back ....you can't tell me that GW has not profited off of their endevours....come on now......do really need to get into this kind of debate?
What is the REAL Reason you don't want the R3volution March take place???
Permit ?
I fail to see how if say 75,000 people showed up on the national mall, what the hell the coppers could possibly do? Tell them they dont have a right to be on public land because they don't have a f-in permit? They cant jail that many people and they wont tear gas them for the horrible backlash that would surely entail. We would be putting THEM between a rock and a hard place.
I realize that a sound stage and all the rest would have to be nixed, but there are creative ways around all that. I will not ever accept any "free speech zone" restrictions. Nor should anyone else. This is a matter of principle.
Thanks for the reply ...
The March

Not the real rally
I don't think this was THE rally. The big one is supposed to be in June from what I understand.
The Rally
I drove 6hrs to be there was a little disapointed at first. But it was Great that I had the chance to thank Dr Paul. Its not the end........
Why the negativity?
I must admit, some people who came to the rally with me were disappointed that there weren't a half million others in the lawn. So what? I'm not going to give an estimate because I couldn't tell. One of the speakers said "looks like 700" and one of the speakers even made an ill-conceived remark during their very informative speech that he "hoped there would be more people."
The information that was shared from all the speakers was invaluable. I'm glad I attended the rally. The hard work and probably stressful process of putting on such an event should not be criticized just because it didn't meet your expectations.
Why anyone would want to be known as a liar?
Granny Warrior

YEAH GRANNIES
WOOO HOOO
Granny's definitely in the ballpark with the 1,200 figure.....
